Seeing the slight change in Kōyū's expression, Ai realized that the person in front of her might have misunderstood, and explained, "I said he's not simple, but I didn't say he has any problems."
"Huh? He's alright?" Guangyou asked in surprise. "Then how exactly is he not simple? Is he exceptionally rich or exceptionally powerful?"
“Both,” Ai said slowly, recalling the information she had just seen. “Tamagawa Joji is indeed wealthy, but his company is still far from being on par with the top conglomerates…”
At this point, Ai paused slightly: "If you compare him to the Suzuki Group, then his money is nothing at all. His total assets are not even comparable to that of the second young lady of the Suzuki Group who stood up for you."
"I see. What about the rights aspect?"
After saying that, Kōyū felt something was wrong. Why did Ai compare Tamagawa Joji and Sonoko?
This is like comparing a kindergarten child to Usain Bolt in a race—there's absolutely no comparison.
But the next second he realized what was going on, and then pretended to sniff the air, asking, "Ai, can you smell a faint smell of vinegar?"
"You're overthinking it." Ai didn't dare to meet Kousuke's eyes because she was indeed feeling a bit uneasy. She really wanted to help with what happened last time, but in the end, someone else had to step in and resolve it.
Kōyū simply looked at Ai with a meaningful gaze, without saying a word.
"What are you looking at?" Ai turned her head and stared into Kousuke's eyes, but it didn't last long. A few seconds later, her gaze involuntarily drifted away, and she continued to stubbornly say, "I only smelled the sulfur of the hot spring, and I didn't smell any vinegar at all."
Kōyū, who was leaning back on the beanbag chair, changed his position and looked at Ai without saying a word.
Ai finally couldn't hold back any longer. She raised her hand and slapped Kōyū, saying, "Do you want to keep listening or not? If not, I'm going back to sleep. Honestly."
"Of course I want to, please continue," Guangyou said with a smile. "This time I definitely won't interrupt you."
After rolling her eyes at Kōyū, Ai continued, "As for power, he doesn't have real power, but he's on good terms with many powerful people, and their relationships are very good."
Upon hearing this, Guangyou nodded knowingly and silently memorized the information.
"Oh, right, I forgot to mention earlier, he also has very good relationships with many conglomerates, such as the Suzuki Conglomerate..."
At this point, Ai glanced at Kouyu, and seeing that he was still listening attentively to her, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief and continued, "He has long-term economic ties with some of the Suzuki Group's businesses. Although the amounts are not large, they are very stable."
"What about the others?" Guangyou pressed. "Doesn't this person have any rivals in the business world?"
After a moment, Ai shook her head and said, "Based on the current information, there aren't many. The few rival companies are all due to economic conflicts with him, but nothing major has happened."
"If that's the case, then this person is quite capable."
Guangyou suddenly admired Tamagawa Joji. The business world is like a battlefield, and there aren't many people who can navigate it all smoothly without making many enemies.
Putting business matters aside for the time being, Kwang-yu was more concerned about the political situation.
Judging from what Ai Haibara mentioned earlier, Tamagawa Joji is very successful in politics, which is quite impressive.
The saying "entering the officialdom is like entering a deep sea" is not just a saying, especially in a small island nation like Japan. If you choose the wrong party, say the wrong thing, or do the wrong thing, the consequences can be unimaginable.
"That's all I've found out so far," Ai said. "Given enough time, I should be able to find out a little more..."
Halfway through her sentence, Ai felt her hand being pulled by Kōyū, and she swallowed the words that were about to come out.
"That's enough," Guangyou said with a smile. "Thank you for your hard work."
"It was just something I did on the spur of the moment," Ai said softly, looking away. "I was bored staying in my room anyway."
"Wait here for a bit." Guangyou stood up from the beanbag chair. "I need to go back to the changing room to change my clothes."
Ai looked up and asked in surprise, "Aren't you going to soak a little longer?"
Kōyū bent down, reached out and gently pinched Ai's nose, smiling indulgently, "In your words, I think that's enough."
After saying that, Guangyou turned around, pushed open the door, and walked out.
Sitting on the beanbag chair, Ai recalled what had just happened, subconsciously touched her nose, and smiled faintly.
Back in the changing room, Guangyou opened his locker, took out his clothes, and started getting dressed.
The hot spring was indeed comfortable, and the environment was quite nice, but Tamagawa Joji and Uncle Mori kept chatting, which ruined the tranquil atmosphere.
Rather than soaking in a hot spring listening to two middle-aged, greasy men chatting, he'd rather leave early and go look at the stars with Ai or something.
He soaked in the hot spring simply to relax his body, which had just recovered, and after soaking for more than ten minutes, Guangyou felt that he was almost done.
It felt like I had unloaded several pounds of weight, making walking much easier, and even restoring a lot of my flexibility.
After trying out two punches, Kōyū nodded in satisfaction: "I feel like I can control my strength much better than when I was just recovered. I guess I still need to relax a bit sometimes."
After putting on his shirt and coat and making sure he hadn't left anything behind, Guangyou closed the closet door, walked out of the changing room, and returned to the room where people were supposed to rest.
"Let's go." Kōyū walked up to Ai and extended his hand to her. "Let's go for a walk for a while."
