Chapter 644 A Satisfactory Answer

Sometimes, actions speak louder than words.

The moment Ai hugged him, Kōyū already sensed something was wrong. Could there be some misunderstanding between them?

Then that familiar, cool voice rang in my ears: "You're so stupid..."

After casually ruffling her hair, Guangyou smiled and asked, "What's wrong with me? Why did you suddenly call me stupid again?"

After hearing this, Ai didn't know what to say to him. This guy was still pretending.

She looked so sad just now, but now she's putting on a smiling face.

Based on her understanding of Guangyou, he was just trying to escape and didn't want to hear the answer to the question.

Trying to hypnotize oneself is actually not a very successful method.

"Aren't you stupid?" Ai left Kousuke's embrace, looked up at him, and said with a hint of resentment, "You put on that sour face before even hearing my answer. If you're not stupid, who is?"

These words reassured Guangyou somewhat; he might have really misunderstood something. However, he still stubbornly insisted, "It was just that the wind was too strong, and sand got into my eyes..."

As he spoke, Guangyou's voice grew softer, clearly indicating that he knew his words were not very convincing.

Ai rolled her eyes at Kouyu and retorted, "Who do you think would believe what you're saying?"

The next second, Guangyou blurted out: "Whether you believe it or not, I believe it."

"I just can't do anything with you." Xiao Ai chuckled. "Then I'll trust you this once."

After this lighthearted conversation, the atmosphere eased, and the two looked at each other with smiles on their faces.

"Alright, after all this fuss, it's time to tell you my answer." Ai's smile faded, and she said seriously, "Are you ready to hear it?"

Guangyou nodded: "Of course."

After what had just happened, he already had an answer in his mind; he wasn't sure, but it was pretty close.

“My answer is I don’t know. Just like you said, you’re not that old in real life, much younger than an older man, so I can’t relate to you.” Ai and Kousuke looked at each other and continued, “There are unknown functions in the equation, so I can’t calculate the answer.”

This answer was exactly what Mitsuyu expected. He wasn't disappointed. He nodded and smiled again, saying to Ai, "I've answered your question. Now I'll take you back."

"Wait a minute, I have two answers, and I haven't finished yet." Ai grabbed Kouyu's hand and said, "That was the rational answer."

"A rational answer?" Guangyou stopped and turned around, puzzled yet expectant. "So, there's also an emotional answer?"

Faced with Kouyu's questioning gaze, Ai nodded without flinching: "Yes, so can you wait until I finish speaking?"

She had wanted to tell Kwang-yu the answer directly, but before she could say it, Kwang-yu misunderstood her.

"Okay." Guangyou looked at the girl in front of him with expectant eyes. "Go ahead, I'm listening."

"The other answer is that I don't care." Ai felt her earlobes getting hot, pursed her lips, and smiled slightly. "That's probably the answer you wanted to hear, right?"

Indeed, just as Ai said, this was the best answer in Kōyū's heart.

Upon hearing the best answer, Kōyū smiled and walked towards Ai, reaching out to pull her into his arms and whispering, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that question."

“It’s my fault.” Ai also reached out and hugged Kousuke. “If I hadn’t brought this up, if I had been able to give the answer sooner, none of this would have happened.”

“That’s right, it’s all your fault,” Guangyou suddenly said with a mischievous grin.

"..." Ai was stunned. The sentimental atmosphere just now vanished instantly. They were just blaming each other, how did it turn into this in the blink of an eye?

After regaining her senses, Ai didn't say anything. She just stretched out two fingers and pinched the soft flesh on Kouyu's lower back, but she didn't twist it, as if she was giving Kouyu a chance to explain.

Sensing the threat at his waist, Kōyū quickly changed his tune: "This time it was my fault. If I had listened to your answer properly, this wouldn't have happened."

“That’s right.” Ai loosened her fingers from the soft flesh and said with a slightly arrogant tone, “This time it’s your fault.”

Guangyou squinted and said indulgently, "Okay, okay, my question."

The two of them hugged and enjoyed the peace for a while. The atmosphere was nice, but something about the place felt off.

"Oh, right, there's something else I wanted to say to you."

During this time, Ai had already made up her mind. A resolute look flashed in her eyes as she pursed her lips and said, "Consider this a supplement to my previous answer."

"Add something?" Kōyū looked at Ai with smiling eyes. "Go ahead and say it, I'm listening."

Looking into the boy's eyes, Ai took a slight breath.

This incident made Ai realize once again just how fragile Kousuke, who appeared strong on the surface, truly was inside.

He never teared up when facing life and death on the Ferris wheel, nor did he ever think of giving up.

But this time she sensed despondency in Guangyou and saw him personally put a mask with a smiley face on her.

All of this is because the boy lacks a sense of security, just like her.

It's not usually noticeable, but once someone touches on what's most important to you deep down, this unease will erupt like a volcano.

There is only one way to quell this volcano: give it enough security.

"I don't care about your past identity, nor do I care about your real age."
