Thinking of this, Guangyou asked, "How long have you been standing here?"
"Not long," Ai replied, "about ten minutes."
The next second, Kōyū placed his hand on Ai's cheek to check the temperature. It was a little cool. Then, his tone was slightly reproachful: "You said you should have just waited for me to pick you up. What were you waiting here for, you silly thing?"
"It's good exercise." A barely perceptible smile flashed across Ai's lips as she casually replied before trying to change the subject, "Have you had breakfast?"
Looking down, Kōyū noticed that Ai was carrying a thermal bag in her other hand. He guessed that the girl had gotten up early to make breakfast inside, so he said, "She hasn't eaten yet. She's going to go over there and buy something."
"I made a little too much breakfast this morning." Ai took a bento box out of her bag and handed it to Kousuke. Her voice was cool and clear, just like the morning breeze. "It would be a waste if you didn't eat it."
I took the bento box, opened it, and saw a piece of fish with sauce on top of the white rice. The blanched broccoli added a touch of green to the bento, and there was some pickled radish in the corner.
This classic Japanese breakfast still looks quite appetizing.
After closing the lunchbox lid, Kōyū looked up and smiled at Ai, saying, "We'll eat it in the car later."
"Okay." Ai nodded and said calmly, "Then you should let them come down. If we go now, the competition should be starting soon."
Then, Kōyū called out to the third floor, summoning Conan and Ran, who were resting upstairs, to come down.
