Chapter 697 The Agreement

Eating too much chocolate can be cloying, so after the two of them ate a few, they put the lid back on.

There's plenty of time to go back and enjoy it at your leisure.

"Do you like these gifts?" Guangyou quietly leaned closer and asked.

"Yeah, I like it." Ai responded, then rested her head on Kouyu's shoulder and said in a voice only she could hear, "So silly..."

The weight on his shoulders softened Guangyou's gaze, and he enjoyed the atmosphere between them.

Gazing ahead, Guangyou's thoughts were racing.

Isn't this the kind of life I've been pursuing?

Once all this is over, I must find some time to take her to travel around the world.

The clouds in the sky gradually increased, and the sky became increasingly gloomy. Half of the sun had already hidden behind the clouds, and it looked like it was about to rain.

However, the two people sitting on the sofa did not notice the change in the weather outside.

After enjoying a moment of peace, Kwang-woo opened his eyes and turned his head slightly to look at the girl leaning on his shoulder.

A delicate fragrance lingered around my nose, and through her bangs, I could vaguely see her face.

After smiling, Kwang-yu turned back to look ahead, then closed his eyes again.

There are still so many things on my to-do list that I haven't done yet.

I'm getting more and more excited about the future.

After a while, Ai suddenly said, "I have to go and study it."

“Mm,” Guangyou replied.

Although the two said this, neither of them got up.

After a while, Ai said again, "I really need to go and study this."

"Mm," Guangyou replied patiently.

...

Half an hour later, just as Ai was about to speak, Kōyū seemed to sense something and responded with a "Hmm".

Upon hearing his response, Ai was taken aback for a moment, then couldn't help but chuckle softly.

"What are you laughing at?" Guangyou said with a deliberately stern face. "What's so funny? Don't laugh!"

It would have been better if she hadn't said anything, because as soon as she finished, Ai laughed again.

"Laugh, laugh," Kōyū suddenly sighed. "I just can't do anything with you."

"This is the first time I've celebrated this holiday," Ai said softly, leaning on his shoulder.

"This is my first time celebrating this holiday too," Guangyou said softly.

Then, the two fell into a brief silence, perhaps reminiscing about the past, or perhaps looking forward to the future.

A moment later, Kōyū suddenly patted Ai's hand and said, "Um, Ai, can I go to the restroom?"

"Okay." Ai straightened up and made room for Kousuke.

Guangyou stood up from the sofa and walked towards the bathroom.

After resolving the issue and leaving the bathroom, Kōyū saw Professor Agasa standing behind the sofa, seemingly looking at something on the table.

"Doctor, what are you looking at?" Guangyou asked as he walked in.

"I didn't see anything." Professor Agasa snapped out of his reverie, quickly took a sip of tea, and then chuckled dryly a few times.

But he wasn't a professional after all, and Kōsuke still noticed that Professor Agasa had a nostalgic expression on his face.

It seems to be related to that matter.

Sitting back on the sofa, Ai leaned closer and asked, "I feel like the Doctor is acting a little strange."

It would be strange if it didn't work.

After all, she was his first love, whom he still loves to this day.

“I know why.” Kōyū glanced at Professor Agasa and said, “The professor was just thinking about his first love.”

"First love?" Ai asked, somewhat surprised. "Are you sure?"

“Hmm.” Guangyou picked up the jewelry box, pointed to the ginkgo leaf symbol on it, and said, “Their story is related to ginkgo.”

"What story?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Ai sensed something was wrong and asked, "By the way, how do you know all this? The Doctor has never mentioned having a first love, let alone a story related to ginkgo."

How could I not know?

Although his memory is hazy, Guangyou still vaguely remembers the story about the ginkgo tree.

However, he couldn't tell Ai any of this, partly because he himself couldn't remember very clearly, and partly because Ai wouldn't believe him even if he did.

He had said it before, but Ai never believed him.

"I'm from..." Kōyū paused, preparing to start rambling, "I'm from..."

After thinking for a long time, he still couldn't come up with a suitable reason. Guangyou could only sigh and say, "Actually, I've forgotten where I found out, but it really happened."

“Okay.” Ai observed Kousuke for a while and found that he didn’t seem to be trying to hide it from her, so she believed his story.

"What I can tell you is that we will see her sooner or later." Guangyou took out his phone, glanced at the time, and after a moment's hesitation, decided to give up.

"Hmm." Ai nodded, then rested her head on Kouyu's shoulder again and said, "Let's wait until that day to talk about it."

Ten minutes later, Guangyou checked the time and said, "It's getting late, I should go."

"All right."

Although Ai enjoyed the tranquility between the two of them, she wasn't the kind of person to be unreasonable. After nodding, she straightened up and made room for Kousuke.

"Then I'll go and look into it." Ai put the handbag back into the gift box, picked up the box of chocolates she had made, handed it to Kōyū, and said, "Don't forget this. Be careful on the road. And also, don't forget."

"I won't forget." Guangyou took the box of chocolates, waved his phone, and smiled. "It's just sending you a text message when I get home, don't worry."

"You still dare to say that?" Ai glanced at Kousuke and said, "If you really haven't forgotten, then what happened before?"
