Carrying the cardboard box containing the orange cat, Kōyū and Ài arrived at the convenience store a few dozen meters away.
A few minutes later, Kōyū and Ai left the convenience store.
Overall, things went smoothly. After some friendly negotiations, the shop assistant agreed to keep the orange cat safe, and now we're just waiting for Naruto to come and pick it up.
Actually, the shop assistant initially wanted to refuse.
The main reason was that he didn't have a cage, and he was worried that the cat was too active and would run around everywhere.
If the cat just runs around randomly, that's fine, but he's worried that it might jump onto the shelves, mess up the neatly arranged merchandise, or bother other customers.
Since he's the only person in the convenience store right now, it's fine if the cat runs around inside, but it would be terrible if the cat followed a customer outside.
Since he agreed to the guest's request for storage, he has an obligation to ensure that the stored items are not lost.
That's why he initially wanted to refuse.
However, looking at the thousand-yuan bill handed to him along with the cardboard box, he couldn't bring himself to refuse.
Before he could even speak, the customer put down the cardboard box and went to buy several more bags of cat food, the kind that was rather high-end and expensive.
This action completely shut him up.
So, with a smile on his face, he accepted the cardboard box and agreed.
Convenience stores offer a storage service, so this isn't against any rules. Besides, the customer has already bought something, and the purchase amount is more than enough.
That's what he told himself.
After settling the orange cat and leaving the convenience store, Kōyū and Ayā prepared to head to the supermarket.
You can buy things at convenience stores, but Guangyou still wants to go to a large supermarket.
Looking back at the convenience store's address, Guangyou took out his phone and sent the address to Chengshi via text message.
Not long after he sent the message, Chengshi replied with a text message that read "OK".
Putting away his phone, Kōyū turned to Ai and said with a smile, "Let's go to the supermarket."
"Mmm." Ai responded and turned her head to look at the convenience store behind her.
"Alright, let's go."
Seeing her like this, Kōyū first took Ai's hand, then smiled and comforted her, "It's not like you'll never see it again. I'll take you to play with it when I have time."
"Mm." Ai turned around, gave Kouyu a faint smile, and said softly, "Let's go."
"Mm," Guangyou nodded in response.
After they finished speaking, the two went to the supermarket.
The supermarket was not far from the convenience store. After walking for about twenty minutes, the two arrived at a large supermarket nearby.
...
Pushing the shopping cart, Kōyū looked around, while Ai followed beside him, her eyes scanning the shelves next to them.
A few minutes later, the two arrived at the snack area, and Guangyou slowed down.
He doesn't have the habit of eating snacks, but he can buy some candy or something.
Pushing the shopping cart to the candy shelf, Guangyou scanned it from top to bottom.
There are many kinds of sugar, but I didn't see the one I wanted.
"Is this what you want?" Ai stood in front of the shelf that Kouyu was facing away from, stood on tiptoe slightly, and took down a bag of lollipops from it.
Turning his head to look, Guangyou smiled and nodded, "That's right."
After confirming she hadn't taken the wrong one, Ai tiptoed and grabbed another bag. She walked to the shopping cart, put both bags of lollipops in, and then asked, "Any more?"
"I don't have any more." Guangyou only wanted to buy some lollipops; he wasn't interested in anything else.
Those candies were eaten too quickly; lollipops last longer.
Looking at the shopping cart, which contained nothing but two packs of lollipops, Kōyū looked up at Ai and asked, "Ai, aren't you going to buy anything?"
"I don't need to." Ai shook her head, looked at Kōyū, and reminded him, "You should also eat less sugar, so you don't get sick from it later."
"Don't worry, I'll control the amount." Guangyou felt a warmth in his heart, smiled and nodded in response.
Pushing the shopping cart, the two left the snack section. Kōyū continued to look around, looking for anything he wanted to buy, and occasionally glanced at Ai.
Aside from the ingredients, Guangyou didn't have anything specific he wanted to buy at the supermarket this time; he was just browsing aimlessly.
He could easily find the ingredients at the market or convenience store, but he just wanted to experience shopping at the supermarket with Ai.
For most people, going to the supermarket is nothing special; it's a very common thing.
However, at this moment, Guangyou could feel a faint warmth.
Just like before.
He didn't say what he wanted, but Ai immediately found what he wanted among so many kinds of candy, and at the same time, she also showed concern for him.
Slowing down, Kōyū turned his head to look at Ai, who was looking at the surrounding shelves, and smiled faintly.
Ai followed beside him, her gaze occasionally sweeping across the shelves, but mostly lingering on Kyou.
She didn't have anything she wanted to buy; she came here simply because Guangyou wanted to, nothing more.
After she arrived here, Ai felt that it was pretty good.
Although I didn't buy anything, the process of browsing felt like...
They're like family.
"Perhaps I should remove the 'seems' part."
Looking away, Ai smiled slightly and hummed a song softly.
If you listen carefully, you'll notice that she's humming the same song that Guangyou sang to her before.
That song, the one he sang to her under the snowflakes.
