Chapter 720 A Secret

Putting these thoughts aside for the time being, Kōyū came back to his senses and glanced at Ai leaning on his shoulder.

After a few seconds of stunned silence, a smile appeared on his face. He closed his eyes, tilted his head, and gently rested his head on hers.

Both of them were enjoying the atmosphere.

Peaceful, serene...

They all hope that this kind of life can continue.

With his eyes closed, Kwang-woo's lips curled up slightly as he muttered to himself, "It will definitely happen."

In fact, he was confident of this.

Time slipped away quietly in a peaceful and serene atmosphere...

As dusk fell, a few scattered stars dotted the night, twinkling and emitting a faint light.

After a while of tenderness, Kōyū opened his eyes, glanced at the time, and said, "Ai, it's getting late, I'll head back now. I have school tomorrow."

Ai, who was leaning on Kousuke's shoulder, slowly opened her eyes, sat up straight, glanced at Kousuke, nodded, and whispered, "Okay, I'll remember when we get back..."

"I'll remember to send you a text message." As soon as he heard the first half of the sentence, Kōyū guessed what the second half meant. He reached out and gently pinched Ai's nose, smiling. "Don't worry, I won't forget."

After saying that, Guangyou stood up from the sofa, holding the candy stick, took out the lollipop he had in his mouth, and glanced at it.

Only one irregularly shaped little sugar ball remained.

He decisively put it back in his mouth, bit off the candy ball with a little force, and chewed the lollipop pieces, making a "crunch crunch" sound.

"Alright, I'm leaving now." Kōyū threw the candy stick into the trash can, said goodbye to Ai, and prepared to leave.

As he passed the kitchen, Guangyou glanced at it out of the corner of his eye, but didn't stop, and simply pushed open the door and walked out.

After stepping out the door, Guangyou slowed his pace.

Looking around, it was as if he were admiring the scenery.

Actually, most of the surrounding area is residential, so there's not much scenery to enjoy.

Most of the available flowers, plants, and trees are now enclosed in other people's yards. The only things you can "enjoy" on the street are a fleeting stray cat and a telephone pole.

Perhaps only the occasional sound of couples arguing in roadside houses remains.

This is still a regular occurrence, not every day, but you can hear it once or twice a month when Guangyou walks by.

For example, there wasn't any tonight; the road was very quiet.

The streetlights cast bright rays, guiding passersby.

He's not in a hurry to go back, otherwise he wouldn't stop every few steps.

By the light of the lamp, Guangyou looked at the surrounding walls, as if there was something on the walls that could attract his attention.

Guangyou took another small step forward, stopped, looked up, and glanced at the night sky.

The moon was bright and the stars were few. The soft, silvery moonlight bathed the entire city, and the quiet streets seemed to be covered with a layer of light silver powder.

Looking up at the night sky, Guangyou muttered to himself, "It should be about time..."

However, nothing happened.

Guangyou took a small step forward.

As if he had discovered something, he took a few steps toward the wall and squatted down, looking down at the empty ground.

Two minutes later, a clear, cold voice broke the quiet atmosphere.

"You forgot to take the chocolate." Ai said, holding a gift box, as she slowly walked towards Kyou.

The gift box contained nothing but the chocolates she had made herself.

Several minutes had passed since Kōyū left, but Ai only walked for a dozen seconds before she saw him again.

This shows how slowly Guangyou walked, and it also shows that he was not in a hurry to go back, as if he was waiting for something.

Seeing Kōyū squatting on the ground, Ai glanced at the empty ground, then at him. He didn't look like he had lost something and was squatting on the ground looking for it. Instead, it was as if something on the ground was attracting him.

She asked, somewhat puzzled, "Did you lose something?"

"No..." Kōyū supported himself on his knees, stood up, looked at Ai, and smiled, "No before, but now I do, and it's the kind of thing I'd never get tired of looking at for a lifetime."

Upon hearing this, Ai's smile faded.

By the light of the moon and the streetlights, Guangyou could clearly see the smile on her face and couldn't help but smile back.

"You even forgot your chocolate." Ai smiled, but her tone remained flat, as if there was something else hidden in her words.

Realizing this, Kōyū quickly understood what she meant. As he took the gift box from Ai's hand, he reached out and ruffled her hair.

Feeling the soft strands of hair slip through his fingers, he whispered, "I won't forget."

"Then I'll trust you one more time," Ai said, glancing at Kousuke.

"Don't worry," Guangyou replied softly.

"Is there anything else you want to say?" Ai asked, looking at Kousuke.

Originally, she just wanted to deliver the chocolate that Guangyou had left in the refrigerator, but after seeing Guangyou's strange behavior, she vaguely realized something.

"Hmm... there really is." Kōyū actually wanted to tell Ai about the cat cafe.

She had previously refused to adopt a cat for her own reasons, but the cat cafe was different.

There, she could pet cats without any psychological burden.

However, the cat cafe idea is just a concept for now. We can tell her when things are finalized or when the cat cafe officially opens.

"What's wrong?" Ai asked, confirming her suspicions.

At the same time, she had some doubts. She guessed that Guangyou might have something to tell her, but she didn't know what it was.
