“It’s quite attractive, and I’m quite interested in it too…” Kōyū said seriously, but was interrupted by Conan before he could finish.
"Then let's go to Osaka together." Conan felt that the matter was completely settled.
“But…” Kōyū changed the subject and said, “I refuse.”
He refused so quickly that Conan didn't even have time to react. He continued, "If nothing unexpected happens, we'll leave on Saturday, spend a few days in Osaka, and then come back to go to school."
"I just said I refuse." Mitsuyu thought Conan hadn't heard him clearly, so he repeated himself.
There were no other sounds in the room; it was very quiet, so Conan could hear everything clearly.
His neck, like a rusty machine, slowly turned his head to look at Guangyou, who was sitting on the edge of the bed with a serious expression.
A few seconds later, Conan opened his mouth, seemingly incredulous, and asked, "What did you just say?"
Guangyou was speechless after hearing this.
Is Conan hard of hearing, or did he not explain it clearly?
Or perhaps Conan didn't understand what he just said at all?
Seeing Conan's somewhat bewildered and confused expression, Kōyū coughed lightly and said, word by word, "I said, I refuse... Now you understand, right?"
He heard it clearly, but Conan was still a little confused.
They seemed really interested just a moment ago, so why did they suddenly refuse?
The changes were happening too fast, and Conan felt he should take a break.
He gestured for Kōyū to be quiet, and Conan frowned, closing his eyes to recall their conversation.
...
"If we really go to Osaka, we'll have to stay there for at least a day or two."
"I can still mooch a few meals off them."
"It does look quite tempting."
"Hmm... what you said is really intriguing... if nothing unexpected happens, I really don't have anything planned for my day off."
"The assorted pancakes are also quite good. There are indeed some small shops that are particularly delicious but not well-known, and not even mentioned in tourist guides. To be honest, they are quite attractive."
"Hiking is really not very interesting."
...
After recalling the events, Conan felt somewhat lost.
This conversation clearly shows they're very interested.
According to the normal procedure, shouldn't the next step be for Guangyou to nod and agree?
Why the sudden refusal?
Opening his eyes, Conan looked at Kōyū and asked with a hint of confusion, "Why?"
"There's no reason why," Kōyū glanced at Conan and explained, "It's simply because I don't want to go."
"You seemed really interested just now," Conan rolled his eyes at Kouyu and said irritably, "I thought you agreed."
I shouldn't have trusted this guy who doesn't play by the rules.
"I am interested, but that has nothing to do with whether I agree or not." Guangyou shrugged, trying to defend himself. "It is indeed very attractive to me, but I still don't want to go."
“…” Conan looked at Kōyū and remained silent.
What else could he say?
I'll have to postpone the takoyaki thing until I have the chance to go to Osaka in the future, then I'll invite Heiji to eat it.
Conan withdrew his gaze from Kōyū, pursed his lips, and thought to himself, "This guy..."
Kouyu was naturally unaware of Conan's inner thoughts. Seeing that Conan had no intention of continuing the conversation, Kouyu decided to end the topic.
"Alright, I'm going to take a shower now." Guangyou said, then stood up, grabbed a set of pajamas, and walked out of the room.
...
Half an hour later.
After taking a relaxing bath, Kwang-woo opened the bathroom door and left, returning to his room.
At this moment, Conan was lying on his own bed, with his hands behind his head, looking at the ceiling.
Hearing the door open, Conan glanced at it, then turned back to look at the ceiling.
His hair wasn't completely dry, so Guangyou didn't immediately crawl into his warm bed. Instead, he went straight to the window, leaned forward slightly, placed his hands on the edge of the window, and looked out.
I don't know when it suddenly started raining.
Dark clouds obscured most of the night sky, and silvery raindrops fell continuously from the inky black sky.
After looking up at the night sky, Guangyou turned his gaze to the streetlights along the roadside.
Just as he returned, the streetlights still shone brightly, guiding latecomers home.
A scene gradually appeared before his eyes, and he couldn't help but smile.
Pushing open the window, a small crack appeared, and a cool evening breeze blew into the room through the crack, brushing against Guangyou, which felt quite comfortable.
"Hey, Kouyu, can you close the window?" Conan pulled his hands out from behind his head, tugged at the blanket, and said speechlessly, "You're not cold, but others are."
"Sorry." Guangyou immediately closed the window after hearing this.
Then a silence fell between the two. Kōyū admired the rain scene outside the window, while Conan lay on the bed, preparing to sleep.
After a brief silence, Kōyū finally asked, "Conan, are you asleep?"
Conan, lying on the bed with his eyes closed, replied, "I'm going to sleep."
“Actually, you could have just had Heiji bring Kazuha to Tokyo,” Kouyu said, ignoring Conan’s rambling. “We could take them to the newly opened theme park.”
A few seconds later, Conan sat up in bed and said, "That's not impossible, but will they agree to it?"
"He'll probably agree, Heiji's got nothing better to do anyway," Kōyū said, turning around and leaning against the window frame.
