Chapter 728 Fantasy on the Green Land

After walking for a few minutes, Kōyū found Mōhiko hiding behind a park bench.

"If we get found, there's nothing we can do about it." Mitsuhiko scratched his head and said, "Then I'll go wait for you by the bench."

"Okay, go ahead."

After saying that, Guangyou continued his journey to find the "culprit".

Five minutes later, Conan was found.

When Kouyu found him, Conan was yawning boredly, looking like he was about to fall asleep.

"You're taking a long time to get here," Conan said, looking at Kōyū. "I thought you'd catch me sooner."

"I just called Heiji, so I was a little delayed," Kouyu rolled his eyes at Conan and explained. "Besides, I wasn't looking very hard, so don't be so smug."

If we hadn't made that call, we could have saved a lot of time.

"Did he agree?" Conan asked, following closely beside Kōyū.

"Is that even a question?" Kōyū said to Conan while looking around. "He definitely agreed. I'll just call him again on Friday to confirm the exact time of the meeting."

"That's fine then." Conan responded and then didn't say anything more, continuing to follow beside Kōyū.

After walking about ten meters, Guangyou couldn't help but ask him, "Do you really want to keep following me?"

"Is there anything wrong with it?" Conan asked, surprised.

After a moment of silence, Guangyou nodded: "Alright, then you can continue following along."

This sentence made Conan feel that something was wrong, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

A few seconds later, Conan suddenly thought of something, frowned, looked at Kōyū, and asked, "Who have you caught now?"

"Only my family's left." Kōyū's lips curled up, he slowed his pace, turned to look at Conan, and had a playful expression on his face.

"Oh..." Conan nodded, stopped, and said, "I'll go back to the bench and wait for you."

"Not coming along?" Guangyou teased with a smile.

"No, thank you." Conan shook his head decisively and said, "I still need to eat when I get back."

"Then I won't keep you any longer." Guangyou couldn't help but chuckle twice.

"Even if you asked me to stay, I wouldn't," Conan said, flashing his signature crescent-shaped eyes. "I'll go wait for you on the bench."

After saying that, Conan turned around and walked towards the bench without any hesitation.

Withdrawing his gaze, Guangyou turned around, looked around, and said softly, "There's only one left..."

Now only Ai Haibara hasn't been found yet.

I wonder where that girl is hiding.

Glancing at the already golden sky, Guangyou quickened his pace, muttering to himself, "I need to hurry."

...

Seven minutes later, in the park's green space.

Children ran and played on the green space, while elders stood by, watching with smiles on their faces.

Older people, like grandparents, will often grumble as they watch their younger relatives chasing and playing around, "Be careful, don't get hurt."

The younger generation always responded nonchalantly, "Okay, okay, you guys are so long-winded."

Even if the younger generation complains that they are long-winded, the elders still smile.

Without wasting too much time on this heartwarming scene, Kwang-yu's gaze quickly swept over the green lawn, and then a smile appeared on his lips.

He didn't rush over; first, he took out his phone and sent a text message to Conan.

"I might be back a little late. I have some things to take care of here. Tell the kids not to wait for me."

After a while, Conan replied, "Then I'll head back first. Keep an eye on the time. I've left your backpack at the park security office."

After quickly composing the message, Guangyou pressed the send button: "Understood, I'll be careful."

After putting his phone away, Guangyou took a step towards the figure sitting on the green grass.

"You're so slow," Ai said, sitting on the grass, hugging her knees and looking ahead. "I've been sitting here for a long time."

"Something came up and I was a little late," Kōyū explained softly as he sat down next to Ai.

"Hmm," Ai replied, without asking why Kousuke was late.

The two sat side by side on the green grass, watching the children chase and play, and seeing the smiles on the faces of the elders, their hearts gradually calmed down.

Thanks to the nearby low-rise houses, the golden afterglow shone unobstructed on the lush green grass, which reflected a golden light.

That's why they were able to appreciate this beautiful scenery.

"It's so beautiful," Guangyou murmured, gazing ahead.

"Mmm." Ai also looked ahead and softly echoed, "I really like this feeling."

“I like it too.” Kōyū turned to look at Ai and said softly, “I like this sunset, and I also like the feeling of being with you.”

"Mmm." Ai leaned slightly, resting her head on Kouyu's shoulder, and responded softly.

"Are you free on Saturday?" Kōyū asked, wanting to bring Ai along as well. "I'm planning to go to the newly opened theme park on Saturday. Do you want to come?"

"I should be free." Ai thought for a moment and reminded him, "But I remember the weather forecast said it might rain in Tokyo that day."

"Let's talk about it on that day," Kōyū said, taking Ai's hand. "Let's enjoy the scenery for a while, and then I'll take you home."

"Okay, let's watch for a little longer before we leave." Ai looked at the heartwarming scene that they both found so touching, her eyes half-closed, her gaze softening.
