Chapter 752 Hattori Heiji's Amazing Move

"What do you want to tell me?" Kazuha looked at Hattori Heiji, a hint of expectation in her eyes.

"It's that..." Hattori Heiji avoided Kazuha's gaze, a visible blush rising on his face, and said somewhat awkwardly, "Every time you tremble all over... it's that..."

...

Upon hearing this, the three eavesdroppers outside the door all smiled in unison.

The only difference was that Kōyū only had a smile on his face, while Rin and Conan had a blush on their faces in addition to smiles.

The three of them were basically thinking the same thing: "Which one?"

...

“It’s that…” Hattori Heiji suddenly chuckled and said, “Your ponytail tied at the back just happened to tickle my neck, and it really makes me feel incredibly itchy.”

The scene immediately fell silent.

Not only those inside the room, but also the three people outside fell silent.

They never expected Hattori Heiji to say something like that.

"Why don't we go back?" Guangyou said softly to the other two. "I think Kazuha-neechan must be in a bad mood right now."

"Okay, let's go up first." Conan and Ran nodded in unison.

After agreeing on the terms, the three of them quietly went upstairs.

...

Inside the office, Kazuha's smile became somewhat stiff.

After staring at each other for a few seconds, Kazuha suppressed his anger, chuckled coldly, and said to Hattori Heiji, who was standing in front of him with an embarrassed look, "Well, I'm really sorry."

Taking a deep breath, Kazuha tried to calm herself down, but the disappointment lingering in her heart could not be dispelled for a long time.

With a cold expression, Kazuha strode past Hattori Heiji, pushed open the door, and headed straight for the third floor.

...

Two minutes later, in Xiaolan's room.

Thinking that Ran was unaware of the situation, Kazuha repeated the whole story to Ran.

In order not to disturb Ai, who was sleeping, the two deliberately spoke in a low voice.

"Ran, how could Heiji say something like that under those circumstances?" Kazuha sighed, her face full of disappointment. Recalling Kouyu's thoughtful behavior, she said softly, "I really feel the huge gap between people now."

"If Heiji were even half as good as Kouyu, he wouldn't be so clueless about the situation."

Before Ran could comfort her, Kazuha started to console herself, then sighed and said, "But Heiji is just that kind of person. I actually expected this outcome, but I still feel a little disappointed."

"Don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunities in the future." Ran gently patted Kazuha's back and comforted him softly. "Maybe Hattori-kun wants to find a suitable place to plan a romantic confession."

"I hope so." Kazuha nodded, her mood improving considerably after being comforted by Ran.

"Oh, I still need to hang the teru teru bozu (sunny doll) out." Xiaolan suddenly remembered something, got up and picked up the teru teru bozu from the table.

At the same time, she whispered to Kazuha, "Kazuha, why don't we go together? We can wash up and go to sleep while we're at it. It's getting late."

"Yes, it is getting late." Kazuha nodded after a short while and said softly, "Then let's hurry up and get some sleep. We have to go out tomorrow."

After making their decision, the two quietly left the room.

Beside the bed, Ai lay in bed, already asleep. She had a faint smile on her lips, and it was unclear what she was dreaming about.

Shortly after Ran and Kazuha left the room, Ai parted her cherry lips slightly and uttered a syllable almost silently.

"You..."

...

In the bathroom, Guangyou had just finished showering.

"This feels so good!" Guangyou changed into his pajamas, stretched comfortably, exhaled, pushed open the door, and walked out of the bathroom.

Back in his room, Kōyū immediately spotted Hattori Heiji sitting in a chair, looking rather downcast.

Although he knew what had happened, in order not to expose that they were eavesdropping outside the door, Kōyū pretended to be confused.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, Kōyū looked at Hattori Heiji and asked, puzzled, "Hattori, why do you have that expression? It's not like you."

"Just now... never mind." Heiji Hattori didn't intend to tell the two what had just happened. He sighed and said, "I guess I accidentally made Kazuha angry."

He had no idea that Conan and Kouyu had overheard the whole thing outside the door.

Apart from Kazuha's reaction after hearing those words, the other two basically knew.

“Well, there’s nothing we can do about that.” Guangyou sat cross-legged on his bed and said, “But she shouldn’t be angry for long. She’ll be fine soon. Go buy her a gift later as an apology.”

What Hattori Heiji did just now was really unfair. Kazuha had already taken the initiative to express herself, so he shouldn't have said something so jarring.

"Your ponytail tied at the back just happened to tickle my neck, and it really makes me feel incredibly itchy."

Look at that, how straight must one be to say such a thing?

If it were up to Kōyū, if he wanted to take this opportunity to directly express his feelings, he would say, "Kazuha, I've liked you for a long time."

If he doesn't want to be so direct and wants to plan a more romantic and formal confession later, he would say, "Kazuha, if possible, I hope you won't tremble when you're hiding behind me, because I will protect you."

It seems straightforward, but there's still a lot of room for maneuver in this statement.
