"I think Heiji's reasoning is pretty weak too." Kazuha twitched her lips, somewhat speechless.
“Yeah, that’s true to some extent.” Kōyū nodded in agreement and complained, “That client might really have a problem, but Heiji’s reason is really a bit far-fetched.”
"Guangyou, did they say when they'll be back?" Xiaolan washed her hands and prepared to wash the ingredients, asking, "If they're coming back very late, then we won't prepare dinner for them yet."
Since the food will just get cold anyway, I might as well not prepare it and just make a few extra portions for them when they come back.
After placing the ingredients on the counter, Guangyou thought for a moment and said, "It seems they didn't mention a specific time, but it should be in the evening. They said they could check if there are any suspicious figures around."
"Then we won't prepare their dinner for now," Xiaolan said, putting some of the ingredients aside. "We'll talk about it when they get back."
"That's good, so that no one will eat it if we make it," Guangyou agreed.
Just as he was about to tie on his apron, Guangyou heard Xiaolan say to him, "Guangyou, you prepared breakfast, so let me and Kazuha prepare dinner."
"All right."
Without much formality, after hearing Xiaolan's words, Guangyou put the apron he had just picked up back in its place and replied, "I'll go out and rest for a while."
"Okay, I'll call you when dinner is ready." Ran smiled and nodded to Kouyu, then said to Kazuha, "Kazuha, could you help me wash these?"
"good."
Listening to the sound of flowing water and the two girls talking, Guangyou left the kitchen and went straight to Xiaolan's door, where he gently knocked on the door with his knuckles.
"Knock knock knock~"
A few seconds later, a clear, cold female voice came from the room.
"Come in, the door's unlocked."
