"Why didn't you sleep a little longer?" Guangyou asked, leaning against the door frame.
After greeting Kousuke, Ai turned around to continue preparing breakfast. Hearing Kousuke's question, she replied, "I can't sleep."
"So you got up to prepare breakfast?" Guangyou asked, watching her busy figure.
"Mmm." Ai replied without turning her head, and added, "Besides, you were the one who helped me prepare these past few days."
"It's nothing." Guangyou smiled. He never took such things to heart, nor did he ever think about what reward he would get for doing such a thing.
If he had such thoughts, then the flavor would change.
“But it’s not a small matter for me, after all…” Ai paused for a second before continuing, “After all, you’re the first person besides my family to prepare breakfast for me.”
"You..." Guangyou didn't know what to say to the girl for a moment, and remained silent for a while as he watched her figure.
He then said, "You should know that I'm willing to prepare breakfast for you for the rest of my life, and I've never expected anything in return from you."
"If you really want to know what I hope to get in return, then I hope to see a smile on your face, the kind that comes from the heart."
"I know." Ai stopped what she was doing, turned around and gave him a genuine smile. "I've always known."
"Good to know." Guangyou nodded, took a breath, and straightened up.
"Go wash up." Ai turned around and continued preparing breakfast, urging him to wash up. "Breakfast will be ready soon."
"Um."
After Kōyū left the kitchen doorway, Ai turned back and glanced at the spot where Kōyū had been standing, then chuckled softly.
She hummed a tune softly as she prepared breakfast.
If Kōyū were still here, it wouldn't be hard to tell that Ai-chan is humming "Snow Flower".
When she hums a certain part of the song, Ai will also sing a line or two softly.
"Whether it's a night of smiles or tears..."
"I will always be by your side..."
...
After washing up, Guangyou braced his hands on the edge of the sink.
He gazed at himself in the mirror for a while, then couldn't resist reaching out and stroking the contours of his cheek.
It's not narcissism.
Instead, Kwang-yu realized that he could no longer remember what he used to look like.
I only remember him as being very ordinary, not as handsome as he is now.
"Why am I thinking about these things?" Guangyou turned on the tap, scooped up a handful of cool water, and splashed it on his face.
"call..."
After repeating this several times, Guangyou finally straightened up and dried his face with a towel.
He braced his hands on the edge of the sink and looked at his reflection in the mirror again, repeating the same actions as before, but his mindset had undergone a subtle change.
Exhaling at himself in the mirror, Kōyū murmured to himself, "It's all in the past now."
He rarely thinks about these things, and when he does occasionally think about them, he always thinks, "It's all in the past."
I never paid any attention to it.
Or perhaps it was that dream I had this morning.
Besides the bus about to explode and the hospital ward, he also dreamed of many scenes from the past:
For example, the first time I met her.
For example, the first time I sang "Snow Flower".
...
Besides dreaming about Ai Haibara, I also dreamed about other people, such as Ran, Conan, and Uncle Mori...
But I never dreamed of my former self.
Now that he's fully awake, he can remember things from the past, and he remembers many things very clearly, but he has suddenly forgotten what he used to look like.
I could clearly remember what that person looked like if I just wanted to.
Although memories may become blurred over time.
But what he forgot was not others, but his former self.
That's why Guangyou was standing in front of the mirror and touching his cheek just now, as if he felt a sense of unfamiliarity with himself.
This feeling of unfamiliarity came and went quickly, and Guangyou soon composed himself and stopped thinking about these things.
Even if you think about it, approach it with a calm mindset.
"Anyway, it's all in the past, there's no point in thinking about it too much." Guangyou exhaled again, and a layer of white mist immediately covered the mirror.
His reflection in the mirror was blurred.
He reached out and wiped the mirror, watching his reflection gradually become clearer, and Guangyou suddenly chuckled.
"If I can't remember, I can't remember." Guangyou reached out and touched his cheek, tracing the contours of his face.
"This face is more handsome than the previous one, and that's enough."
Although his looks aren't particularly striking, not as good as Daniel Wu or Takeshi Kaneshiro.
But he had regular features, delicate eyebrows and eyes, and his eyes were quite beautiful.
He's definitely handsome, and he hasn't fully grown up yet, so he might become even more handsome in the future.
This face is much better than the previous ordinary face.
Moreover, he also works out and has a good physique, which causes his charm to "skyrocket." Although it doesn't really help him, it's better than nothing.
If that's the case, what else is he thinking?
Do you want to go back to your old, ordinary face?
Unless he has a cat pancake, how could he possibly think that way?
After composing himself, Guangyou cleaned up the traces left from his washing up, washed the towel, and then pushed open the door to return to the living room.
When he returned to the living room after washing up, Ai was still in the kitchen preparing breakfast, and Ran and the others were still in their rooms, probably still in bed.
It's still early, so it's normal for people to still be sleeping.
