Conan wasn't very interested in the carousel.
In his view, most of the people riding the carousel are children, or girls who are afraid to ride thrilling rides.
Of course, this is not absolute.
But based on what he sees so far, that is indeed the case.
Most of the people in line were children, and most of them were accompanied by their parents.
Secondly, there are those young and beautiful girls who look to be in their twenties.
That's why Conan was amazed that Kousuke still had a childlike heart when he learned that Kousuke wanted to ride the carousel.
After all, he knew some of the details about Guangyou.
At the time, he was thinking that perhaps it was because of his past experiences that Guangyou was interested in carousels.
But now, Conan realizes he was wrong.
"Still a child at heart?" Conan leaned on the railing, propping his face up with his hand, and couldn't help but purse his lips as he recalled what he had just said.
"No wonder Guangyou had that smile on his face just now."
Ignoring the temporary dog food distribution point behind him, Conan turned around, leaned against the railing, and turned his gaze to the roller coaster not far away.
There were many people queuing to ride the roller coaster. Guangyou had been on the carousel for several minutes, while Xiaolan had just gotten on the roller coaster.
"Roller coaster..." Conan looked at the slowly starting roller coaster, his expression somewhat complicated, as if he had remembered something.
Behind him, on a carousel.
"Ai, do you remember the last time we rode the carousel?" Kōyū leaned his head against the pillar that held the carousel in place, tilting his head to look at Ai.
"Hmm." Ai nodded, the scene from that time flashing through her mind. Coming back to her senses, she looked at Kouyu.
He said to Guangyou in a nonchalant tone, "I haven't settled the score with you for what happened that time."
"What's going on?" Kousuke feigned ignorance and stared at Ai. "What accounts are we set up?"
“It’s okay if you don’t remember.” Ai could tell that Kousuke was pretending, but she didn’t call him out on it. She just said to herself, “It’s enough that I remember.”
"Tell me," Kōyū smiled at her. "I just want to know what score Ai wants to settle with me."
"I won't say." Ai glanced at Kousuke and then looked away.
"Alright then." Guangyou didn't press the matter further.
However, he still did not look away.
He looked at Ai just as he had before.
His eyes were full of smiles and affection for the girl.
The carousel spun a few more times, and Ai glanced at Kouyu out of the corner of her eye.
Their eyes met in mid-air, and Ai quickly looked away, her expression calm, as if nothing had happened.
However, the breeze from the rotating machine ruffled her hair, and Kōyū caught a glimpse of the faint smile on Ai's lips.
...
A few minutes later, the carousel gradually came to a stop.
Walking up to Ai, Kōyū extended his hand and said with a smile, "Let's go outside and wait for a while, and have some milk tea while we're at it."
While talking to Ai, Kousuke raised his other hand to indicate that there was still more than half a cup of cherry blossom milk tea left in his hand.
"Hmm." Ai didn't take what had just happened to heart. She placed her hand in Kousuke's palm, got up, and followed Kousuke toward the exit.
...
"Conan, what are you looking at?"
Hearing the sound, Conan turned his head and glanced at the exit, replying, "I wasn't looking at anything, I was just waiting for you guys."
"Have Xiaolan and the others finished playing yet?" Guangyou asked, taking a sip of his milk tea.
After so long, the milk tea had cooled down a bit, but that didn't affect its flavor.
On the contrary, the taste actually got better for Guangyou.
The cherry blossom flavor in the milk tea was stronger, and it was sweeter than before.
"Well, it's not too bad."
Even after swallowing the milk tea, the rich aroma of the milk tea and the fragrance of cherry blossoms still linger on the lips and teeth.
"Just finished playing." Conan had been focused on the roller coaster since the beginning, his eyes following it the whole time.
Watching the roller coaster slowly move to its highest point and then plunge down.
He didn't look away until he saw the roller coaster slow down and pull into the station at the very end.
"They should be here soon," Conan said to Mitsuyu, leaning against the railing. "Let's wait here."
"Hmm, this milk tea is pretty good."
"It tastes pretty good," Conan replied instinctively after hearing that.
"By the way, what are we having for lunch?"
"Let's talk about it later." Conan suddenly felt something was off, but still replied, "Let's wait for Ran and the others to arrive first."
"That's true, then I'll listen to you and we'll talk about it later."
Upon hearing this, Conan felt increasingly uneasy.
With his eyebrows slightly furrowed, Conan turned his head to glance in the direction of Kouyu, and then revealed his signature crescent-shaped eyes.
He thought to himself, "What am I even fantasizing about?"
If you follow his gaze, you can see Kōyū leaning against the railing not far away, tilting his head to talk to Ai.
Noticing the gaze, Kōyū turned to look at Conan and asked in confusion, "Conan, why are you looking at me like that?"
"It's nothing," Conan replied casually, turning his head expressionlessly towards the roller coaster.
"Oh." Seeing that Conan didn't want to say more, Kōyū, though puzzled, didn't press the matter. He simply responded and turned back to continue chatting with Ai.
A few minutes later, Xiaolan and the others arrived at the carousel and met up with Guangyou and the others.
