Conan took the vase, glanced at the bottom, and asked in surprise, "What's this?"
"Look, this is just a child's scribbles, right!"
"I noticed that pattern too!" said Genta, who was standing by the fireplace.
Ayumi, who was jumping on the sofa, also said that she had noticed a similar pattern.
Genta picked up a candlestick from the fireplace, and Ayumi took a plate from the cupboard.
Conan frowned as he looked at the pattern. He didn't think it was just a child's random doodle; on the contrary, the regularity of the pattern made Conan think it was...
“A code!” Kōyū gave Conan the answer. “This doesn’t look like a child’s doodle. On the contrary, the regular patterns on it are more like a code.”
Before they could solve the previous code, another one appeared. The three members of the detective team decided to put the pattern code aside and solve the code on the floor first, so they could finish what they started.
Conan showed no interest in the cipher that Professor Agasa had come up with. Looking at the cipher pattern that resembled graffiti, Conan chuckled and said, "Professor, do you remember the dancing doll?"
Professor Agasa thought for a moment and said, "Ah, you mean that strange pattern in Sherlock Holmes where a group of dolls are lined up and dancing? Was that a code he deliberately made people think it was a child's doodle?"
"This does look a lot like a dancing doll, but what do these patterns mean?"
Conan, completely baffled, wanted to ask Kōyū if he had any clues, but when he looked up, he found that Kōyū was not in the room: "Doctor, have you seen Kōyū?"
"No." Professor Agasa held the candlestick and looked around. "Wasn't it just here a moment ago?"
Conan didn't think too much about it and turned back to continue observing the patterns. He had originally thought it would be a boring activity, but these patterns that he couldn't understand at first glance aroused his great interest. He smiled, a smile that was somewhat creepy.
"What's wrong? You seem very happy." Professor Agasa felt a chill run down his spine from Conan's laughter. "You've already cracked the code?"
"No, not at all." Conan shook his head, unable to hide the smile on his lips. "The old man and the coin are still a mystery, as are these codes, but my uncontrollable curiosity is pounding inside me."
Professor Agasa was somewhat exasperated by Conan's curiosity: "Your detective blood is boiling again, isn't it?"
Professor Agasa glanced at the bottom of the candlestick in his hand and hesitated for a moment: "Come to think of it, I feel like I've seen this pattern somewhere before?"
"What? I've seen it before!" Conan wanted to decipher the code immediately. "Where did you see it? Professor! Think quickly!"
Professor Agasa was exasperated: "What are you rushing me for? I'm an old man! My hair is all white! And I'm balding in the middle! Can you please stop rushing me like that! Let me think about it!"
Conan: "..."
Mitsuhiko looked at Conan, who was doing nothing, and said with some resentment, "Conan, come and think about it with me! What are you standing there for!"
Genta crossed his arms and nodded: "That's right! You're the only one in our group who didn't do a proper treasure hunt!"
"But there's still Kousuke!" Conan didn't want to be the only one being criticized. "He didn't help either!"
Yuan Tai took a lollipop out of his pocket: "Guangyou gave us a lollipop, which is a way of supporting the operation."
Ayumi, who was standing nearby with a lollipop in her mouth, said, "That's right! Conan-kun just stood there the whole time and didn't do anything!"
Surrounded by the crowd, Conan sighed and said, "Fine!"
Reaching the cipher on the floor, Conan sighed again and explained to the three of them, "mo za ri sa wa so de ru, if you only look at this, you really don't know anything about it, but I think this kind of cipher is composed of the Japanese syllabary, with one letter placed from front to back."
"Following this distance, if we move each letter one position to the right: ya zi ru si yo ta do re....
"Follow the direction of the arrow!"
The three of them were very excited when they learned the meaning of the code.
They didn't know where the arrow was, but they were still very excited as they searched the room for the arrow they had been longing for.
"Stop for a second," Conan interrupted the three of them, who were moving around like headless flies. "Didn't we see a very conspicuous arrow as soon as we entered this room?"
The three looked around the room: "There's only dust."
Conan pointed to the clock on the wall: "That's the clock!"
"clock?"
The three looked at the clock, but still didn't understand what Conan meant.
Conan explained, "The hour and minute hands on this clock aren't like that at 6:30."
The three of them were still confused: "Maybe the clock is broken and has stopped."
Conan slapped his forehead: "Think about it carefully. On a normal clock, when it reaches 6:30, the hour and minute hands should be slightly separated."
"Now that they are completely aligned, it means that someone deliberately adjusted them to make the hour and minute hands overlap."
After Conan said that, if they still didn't understand, they would really be fools. The three of them quickly ran to the bottom of the clock.
Below the clock was a pile of playing cards. Conan continued, "The Ace of Spades in the middle is held in place by a thumbtack."
Following the direction pointed to by the Ace of Spades, I found the chess piece on the table.
The pieces were also arranged in the shape of an arrow.
The arrow pointed to the room opposite. The group went into the room, and after observing the entire room, the three members of the detective team found that there was no arrow.
