Chapter 883 Solving the Case

"And when we passed through here, we opened the skylight and stuck our heads out," Iiji Takuto said, pointing to the skylight.

"We didn't see anything on the road at the time."

"You stuck your heads out of the skylight?" Inspector Megure looked up at the skylight and suddenly said, "Don't you know how dangerous that is?"

"..." Iiji Takuto was stunned.

"..." Kousuke and Conan were also visibly taken aback.

Isn't this supposed to be a murder investigation? How did it suddenly turn into traffic safety education?

"Cough cough..."

Sensing the slightly strange looks from the crowd, Inspector Megure realized that now was not the time for lecturing.

Fortunately, he had encountered similar situations before, so he quickly regained his composure.

Then, Inspector Megure coughed twice and asked without changing his expression, "Excuse me, why did you stick your heads out at that time?"

“We did the same thing when we came last year, because that way we could see the fireworks from the mountains,” Iihiro Takuto honestly replied.

“I said back then, ‘I’ll do this again next year,’” Haruka Tendo explained. “And it was also because I could see the fireworks that I thought I’d let those kids see them too.”

“However, you can only see it at the bend, and then you can’t see it after the bend,” Fukuura Reiji added. “You can see it for about ten seconds.”

"If we first use some clever method to avoid the corpse, and then open the skylight..." Inspector Megure stroked his chin.

Before Inspector Megure could finish speaking, Reiji Fukuura interrupted him impatiently.

“Inspector, that’s impossible. If we want to avoid it, we’ll have to switch lanes.”

“As long as you change lanes, the people in the car will definitely feel it, and running over them will have the same effect.”

After recalling it, Conan admitted it.

"Indeed, the car did not swerve during the period before and after the sunroof was opened."

"If this car had a dashcam, there wouldn't have been so much trouble," Guangyou said, shaking his head with some regret.

"Kuangyou, look at the skylight." Ai suddenly said to Kuangyou, seemingly having seen something.

"What's wrong with the skylight?" Guangyou looked up at the skylight, and after seeing it, he raised an eyebrow and chuckled. He was initially puzzled.

"So that's how it is. No wonder."

"Hmm?" Conan, having just come to his senses, noticed Kōyū's expression and asked, "Have you discovered something?"

"Look at the sunroof yourself." After casually saying this to Conan, Kōyū took Ai's hand, got up from his seat, and got off the bus.

"Skylight..." Conan looked up at the skylight upon hearing this, then frowned and stared at it.

"What's that? Why is there a strange line on the edge of the skylight?" Conan stared at the line, deep in thought.

Since Guangyou said so, this line must be something very important.

Moreover, it is not normal to find a line on the sunroof.

There must be something fishy going on here!

After staring at the line for a few seconds, a possibility suddenly popped into Conan's mind.

"Could it be...?"

Remembering Kouyu's reaction earlier, Conan didn't even say hello to Professor Agasa and the others. He jumped out of the car and ran to the back of the campervan.

There is a ladder at the back of the campervan that allows people to climb onto the roof.

After arriving at the back of the car, Conan didn't linger for a second and climbed directly up the ladder to the roof.

Climbing onto the roof of the car, Conan saw Kōyū crouching next to the sunroof.

He took out his watch from his pocket, turned on the built-in flashlight function, and, using the light, walked to the skylight and squatted down.

"Is it confirmed?"

Their thoughts were similar, so even though Conan didn't explicitly confirm anything, Mitsuyoshi understood what he meant.

"Hmm." Guangyou touched the dark red line with his hand, then smelled it, and nodded.

"It is indeed blood, and it has already begun to congeal. If nothing unexpected happens, then this blood is Shirafuji Yasumi's."

"So that's how it is." Conan looked at the bloodstain that had congealed into a line, a knowing smile appearing on his lips.

“I have figured out this case, and judging from the current situation, only someone with superb skills could have done it.”

"You mean Reiji Fukuura?" Mitsuhiro thought for a moment after hearing this, but did not nod, still frowning slightly.

For some reason, he felt that the case was not so simple.

"Bang!"

A sudden sound from behind made the three of them turn around and look.

Then, the three saw Genta and Mitsuhiko following behind them, as well as Ayumi who had accidentally fallen, and a flashlight that was about to roll off the car.

Looking at the flashlight, Ayumi used her hands to prop herself up and said, "My flashlight..."

However, she didn't need to pick it up; Yuan Tai, who was standing in that direction, simply picked up the flashlight for her.

"Thank goodness you didn't fall." Ayumi breathed a sigh of relief. "Genta, thank you."

"It's just a small matter." Genta scratched his head a little embarrassedly and chuckled twice.

"Are you alright?" Ai walked to Ayumi's side, put her hand on the latter's shoulder, and asked.

"I'm fine." Ayumi shook her head, and when she saw it was Ai, a surprised smile immediately appeared on her face.

"Thank you, oh...oh..."

Ayumi felt a little embarrassed because she couldn't bring herself to say it.
