"Whatever you want." Mitsuhiro could tell that Conan didn't want to give up, so he didn't want to say anything more.
He knew that Conan had a peculiar obsession with catching criminals.
"I'll go upstairs first then." Seeing that there was no new progress in the case, Kōyū said goodbye to Conan and prepared to go back to the car.
He doesn't have that kind of obsession.
But just as he was getting on the bus, a chance glance made Guangyou stop in his tracks.
"What's wrong?" Conan noticed this.
“I didn’t expect this…” Kōyū stopped halfway through his step, walked back to Conan’s side, and shook his head. “It’s really surprising.”
"What's wrong with you?" Conan was a little confused. "What didn't you expect? Why are you surprised?"
"Conan, take a closer look," Kōyū asked, pointing in a direction.
"Have you noticed anything strange?"
"What's strange?" Conan was still a little puzzled, but when he looked in the direction Kouyu was pointing, he instantly understood.
"So that's what you meant." Conan understood what Mitsuyu had just said, and he agreed.
"Indeed, it was quite surprising."
They both already knew the killer's identity and had evidence.
As if he were talking to the murderer, Conan stared intently at the killer, a confident smile playing on his lips, and said softly:
"Although I know this was just you letting your guard down because you were nervous..."
"No matter what, you can't explain this decisive mistake."
"This will be your fatal mistake!"
"Alright, let's get in the car first." Kōyū interrupted Conan's show-off behavior and said with a hint of speechlessness, "You should go and talk to the professor first."
As is customary, to avoid being disbelieved by his own deductions, Conan must deduce under someone else's identity.
Since Uncle Mori, who is usually used, is not here, Conan can only choose Professor Agasa.
Instead of standing there spouting threats at thin air, it would be better to talk to Professor Agasa and explain what happened, so he can cooperate.
"Oh." The feeling that Conan had just managed to cultivate vanished instantly.
This was the second time he had been interrupted tonight, and Conan couldn't help but feel a little resentful as he looked at Kōyū.
Being suddenly interrupted is not a pleasant feeling, much like being halfway through reading a mystery novel only to have the culprit spoiled, which makes Conan very unsatisfied.
However, he can also distinguish between what is important and what is urgent.
The most urgent task now is to catch the murderer and get the truth back to the victim, rather than arguing with others over some meaningless issues.
He merely glanced at Guangyou with a slightly resentful look and said nothing.
The two then returned to their campervan.
From the moment Kōyū got into the car, Ai's gaze remained fixed on him. Only after he sat down next to her did she ask him a question.
"Did you find it?"
"Yes, we've found it." Kōyū nodded to Ai and added, "I also know the identity of the culprit."
"Who is it?" Ai asked, glancing out the window.
“That’s the person.” Guangyou pointed at the murderer and exclaimed, “I was quite surprised when I first found out.”
"It's really surprising." A hint of surprise flashed in Ai's eyes.
Actually, the murderer left a pretty good impression on her.
Perhaps because of those few incidents, she felt that the murderer was alright and didn't seem like the kind of person who would do such a thing.
But the reality is quite the opposite.
"Perhaps he has some unspeakable difficulties," Ai said, looking at the murderer who had left a good impression on her through the window.
"Probably." Guangyou also believed that the murderer had some unspeakable secret.
After saying that, Guangyou suddenly thought of something and smiled to himself:
"If it were Conan, he would definitely say with a righteous expression..."
"No matter the reason, it cannot be a justification for taking a life."
This is one of Conan's famous quotes.
"I wonder what that unspeakable secret is..." Guangyou came back to his senses, looked at the murderer, and seemed to be deep in thought.
…
The bright moon hangs high in the sky, its pure light filtering through gaps in the clouds and spilling into the grove.
Inside the campervan came Reiji Fukuura's somewhat impatient voice.
"We've already said that several times!"
Shifting the focus to the car, Fukuura Reiji and the other two were sitting in their seats, while Inspector Megure and Takagi stood by the table.
Looking at Takagi, Fukuura Reiji repeated:
"Around 7 p.m., we drove this campervan up the mountain looking for Tai Mei. When we passed through here, there was nothing on the road..."
"When we finished watching the fireworks and were about to return to the camp, we found Tammy lying in the middle of the road covered in blood."
"The broken wooden fence fell onto the road above."
He couldn't possibly be mistaken.
He didn't see anything on the way up the mountain except for the wooden fence.
After Fukuura Reiji finished speaking, Iiji Takuto asked, also puzzled:
"And didn't you say that yourself, Detective?"
"Judging from the damaged fence on the mountaintop, the location where the wooden fence fell, and the spot where Tai Mei fell to the ground, the three locations are almost in a straight line."
"Moreover, there were bicycle tire tracks next to the damaged section of the fence on the mountaintop..."
"Moreover, the bicycle was stuck in the woods outside the guardrail on the road where the wooden fence fell down."
