"Let's send it as you said."
Having decided to send the text message and figured out how to send it, Conan stopped hesitating, pressed the button, and began editing the message.
Conan did not follow Mitsuyu's instructions exactly in the text message; instead, he modified some of the content according to his own speaking style.
After editing the text message, Conan stared at his phone screen for a few seconds before sending it.
Conan put his phone away immediately after sending the text message.
Not long after, Conan felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He took it out, glanced at the text message, and smiled.
"What did Ran reply to you?" Kōyū asked, glancing at Conan.
"See for yourself." Conan handed his phone to Kouyu and showed him the text message.
"Oh, it's pretty much what I expected." Guangyou glanced at it and then looked away; the content of the text message was exactly what he had anticipated.
There's nothing particularly exciting about it, like sweet nothings between the two of them.
Come to think of it, if there were such content, Conan would definitely not let him see the text message.
In this respect, Conan is quite stingy.
Yes, he's the same.
Despite not being able to see Conan's expression through the mask, Mitsuhiro could still imagine what Conan's expression looked like under the mask.
Worried that Conan might accidentally let something slip, Kōyū said, "Be careful when you talk to Ran on the phone these days, don't let anything slip."
"Don't worry." Conan stopped smiling and nodded.
The two then fell silent. Conan and Ran exchanged text messages, while Kōyū simply rested his hand on the edge of the car window, watching the street scene flash by outside.
...
A few minutes later, the bus slowly came to a stop in front of the station.
After getting off the car, Kōyū and Conan went directly to Beika General Hospital.
After going through the basic procedures, it was confirmed that Conan had a fever.
The reason was catching a cold, probably from the night he went camping.
The doctor prescribed some medicine for Conan and instructed him to drink more hot water and eat more fruit to supplement vitamins, and to exercise more to improve his immunity.
Since Conan only had a low-grade fever and didn't need injections or IV drips, the two left the hospital after getting the medicine.
"Did you hear that? The doctor said you need to exercise more," Kōyū said to Conan, taking a sip of the water he had bought while waiting at the hospital.
Look at him, he exercises regularly, his physical fitness is excellent.
To sum it up in one sentence, "As long as he's in good physical condition, minor illnesses like the common cold can't catch him at all."
"I will work out," Conan replied, sniffing.
"Alright, let's go back now." Guangyou checked the time and said, "Or we can go have lunch first, it's about time."
"Let's go have lunch first." Conan raised his hand, gesturing to the bag he was carrying. "Let's find a place to take the medicine first."
“Okay.” Kōyū thought that he would let Ai do her research in peace today and wouldn’t disturb her, so he nodded in agreement.
The two arrived at a restaurant near the hospital. Just after ordering and sitting down, Guangyou felt his phone vibrate in his pocket.
I took out my phone and saw it was a text message from Ai.
After reading the text message, Guangyou smiled and muttered to himself, "This girl..."
The text message contained only one sentence:
"Let's go eat."
This text message has two meanings:
On the first floor, Ai wanted him to know that she had gone to eat lunch on time.
On the second floor, Ai was also reminding him that it was time to have lunch.
"I just came out of the hospital and am about to have lunch at a nearby restaurant."
After editing the text, Kōyū also took a picture of the restaurant's menu and sent it to Ai.
Not long after, he received Ai's reply.
The reply was still only one short sentence:
"Okay, take care of yourself, don't catch a cold too."
"I understand. You should also take care of yourself. Take a break if you get tired of research." Guangyou quickly edited the text message and replied.
A dozen seconds later, Ai replied:
"I'll be careful. I'm going to eat now."
"Um."
After replying to the text message, Guangyou put his phone in his pocket, sat down, and watched the flow of people in and out of the restaurant, waiting for his lunch to be served.
...
After spending half an hour eating lunch, Kouyu and Conan didn't rush to leave, but sat in the restaurant for a while longer.
After Conan finished taking his medicine, the two left the restaurant.
The two men didn't have much to do, so after leaving the restaurant, they went straight to the bus station to wait for their train.
After waiting at the station for a few minutes, the bus bound for Beika Town slowly pulled up in front of the station.
The two got into the car and sat in the two adjacent empty seats in the back. Guangyou took out his phone and browsed the web at a snail's pace.
Let's see if there's any news about smartphones lately.
The search revealed that there were indeed some, but it wasn't good news. Guangyou didn't see any news about the smartphone's release; he only saw that it had been delayed.
It was said that there was a vulnerability in the phone's operating system, which caused the test device to explode on the spot.
Therefore, the release date has been postponed indefinitely.
Upon seeing this message, a large black question mark seemed to appear on Guangyou's forehead.
"So it really is Explosion 7?"
Shaking his head and inwardly remarking that this mobile phone manufacturer resembled a certain Samsung, Guangyou continued browsing the web.
As they approached Beika Town, Kōsuke saw some better news.
