Roses have many symbolic meanings.
Different quantities have different meanings.
"What is the meaning of a single flower?" Xiao Ai raised an eyebrow.
Although she didn't know all of them, she did know a few.
Smiling and nodding, Kwangyu said:
"Um."
"The meaning of a rose is: 'You are the only one in my heart'."
"That's what I wanted to say to you too."
As if she hadn't heard, Ai was too busy admiring the bouquet of roses in her arms to look up. She asked, "..."
"say what."
"It seems this girl wants me to say it to her in person, rather than explaining the meaning of the flowers."
It was obvious. Although he couldn't always guess Ai's thoughts, he was absolutely certain he wouldn't be wrong this time.
Anyone with a brain wouldn't be wrong.
Since Ai wanted to hear it, Kousuke did.
Just as he was about to speak, he noticed that Ai kept glancing in his direction.
This made Guangyou even more certain that he had not guessed wrong.
Pretending not to notice her subtle movements, Kwangyu continued:
I said...
"Ai, you're the only one in my heart."
As soon as he finished speaking, Guangyou noticed that the corners of the girl's lips curled up slightly, but then quickly returned to normal.
"This girl's got a bit of a tsundere attitude..."
While feeling helpless, he also had to admit that the tsundere Ai was quite cute.
Seeing that Ai's gaze hadn't left the roses, Kōyū asked:
"You heard me this time, right?"
"No." Ai's tone was calm, but to Kōyū, there was a hint of arrogance in it.
You didn't hear the first sentence, but you heard this one?
However, he still granted Ai's wish to hear it again, and he said it once more:
"I just said..."
"Ai, you're the only one in my heart."
After saying that, Kwangyu waited for more than ten seconds before asking:
"You heard me this time, right?"
"What would you do if I said I didn't hear it?" Ai looked up, her gaze finally shifting from the rose to Kousuke's face.
This was practically a freebie question, so Guangyou answered very quickly:
"If you didn't hear me, then I'll say it again."
After he finished speaking, he heard Ai say:
"Then I didn't hear it."
Her tone was normal, and he couldn't detect any shyness in her voice, but he noticed that her earlobes, hidden under her tea-colored hair, were slightly red.
She is, after all, a girl.
It's normal for a young girl to react normally when she says something like this in front of someone she likes.
However, Kōyū also had to admit that Ai-chan was very good at hiding her true feelings.
If he hadn't inadvertently noticed her slightly red earlobes, he might have been kept in the dark.
“Then I’ll say it again,” Guangyou said.
It's fine to say it again, even if you make him say it several times.
Unlike the previous two times, this time Ai was looking at him.
After gathering his emotions for a moment, he slowly moved closer to Ai.
Only when he could see his reflection in Ai's icy blue eyes did he softly say:
I said...
"Ai, you're the only one in my heart."
The two looked at each other for a few seconds, then he asked again:
What about this time?
Did you hear that?
"Yes, I heard you." Ai nodded slightly, her lips curving upwards in a beautiful arc.
After receiving Ai's response, Kousuke repeated himself without any warning:
"Ai, you're the only one in my heart."
The suddenness of the statement startled Ai.
After she realized what was happening, Guangyou smiled and explained:
"Buy three get one free, promotional offer."
"Who cares?" Xiao Ai pouted and turned to look at the bouquet of roses, her smile still on her lips, showing that she was in a good mood.
She could feel the emotions in Guangyou's every word.
This is a very mysterious feeling.
Emotions are invisible and intangible, yet they can be truly felt.
It was clear she was being a bit arrogant, but Guangyou didn't call her out on it. He chuckled a few times, picked up the milk tea on the table, and took a small sip.
It might be because of my mood.
He felt the milk tea was a little too sweet.
Mmm, it tastes good.
After admiring the roses for a while, and reflecting on their experiences from when they first met until now, Ai suddenly called out Kouyu's name:
"Guangyou..."
"Hmm?" Kōyū put down his cup, looked at Ai, and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Come closer," Ai said softly, her cherry lips slightly parted.
She spoke softly, but Guangyou, sitting right next to her, heard her clearly.
This wasn't the first time something like this had happened, and he wasn't the kind of guy who didn't understand anything; he had already guessed how things would unfold.
He moved his face closer to Ai's, just as she had instructed.
Ai also withdrew her gaze from the roses and moved it to Kōyō, who had given her the bouquet, and leaned closer as well.
The distance between the two grew closer and closer.
The atmosphere became increasingly enchanting.
This wasn't the first time the two of them had done something like this, but their reaction was still as if it were the first time:
Slow down and approach slowly.
It was as if he wanted to give himself some time to prepare mentally.
However, no matter how much they deliberately slowed down, the distance between them was still just a little bit.
Soon, the two were close enough to feel each other's breath, and their lips were about to touch.
However.
Right now.
A sudden sound of footsteps reached their ears, instantly dispelling the romantic atmosphere between them.
