Guangyou felt as if a cold wind had blown behind him, which made him stop talking instantly.
"What's wrong?"
Ai didn't notice anything amiss. She only saw that Kousuke's usually gentle face suddenly turned serious as he asked, "What were you trying to say?"
"I feel like something's not right."
Guangyou frowned. He had felt this way before, but each time it came, it was accompanied by a major event that could affect his life.
However, there are exceptions. Occasionally, when the air conditioning is set too low, he feels a chill down his back. But there is no air conditioning now, and the Ferris wheel cabins are sealed.
Ai asked in confusion, "What's wrong?"
Guangyou didn't respond. He turned around and looked out the window, then pointed to the ground and said, "Look, everyone on the ground is running towards the exit. Something must have happened."
Ai leaned forward and looked at the ground. Just a moment ago, there were many people around, but now they had all disappeared in less than ten minutes. She absolutely did not believe that nothing had happened.
Guangyou squinted. He saw three figures chasing each other on the ground. One was running in front and two were chasing behind. Because of the height, he could not clearly distinguish who the three people were.
"police?"
Guangyou saw that one of the people seemed to be holding a pistol, but the person being chased did not stop. Instead, he jumped over the fence and disappeared from his sight.
"Oh no, this guy might be up to something."
A plan immediately popped into Guangyou's mind: take the tourists on the Ferris wheel hostage and use them to negotiate with the police.
They could either use the Ferris wheel structure to evade the gunfire and escape, but judging from the two figures slowly approaching from behind, that seems unlikely.
The two people behind did not continue to chase, but approached cautiously, which meant that the person was still within the Ferris wheel's range and in their line of sight.
There's nothing to cover the area around the Ferris wheel, so there's nowhere to run. If someone keeps hiding here, the police will eventually form a perimeter, and unless they can fly or burrow underground, they definitely won't be able to escape.
The remaining possibility is that the person is using the tourists on the Ferris wheel as hostages as bargaining chips. What puzzles Guangyou is how this guy controls the tourists on the Ferris wheel, including himself.
"Squeak..."
Guangyou felt that the Ferris wheel beneath his feet had stopped moving; in other words, they were now trapped in the sky.
Ai instinctively moved closer to Kousuke, grabbing the hem of his shirt with one hand, and asked, "Will you be alright?"
"It's okay, trust me."
Kōyū reached out and pulled Ai into his arms, gently comforting her, "Nothing will happen."
"Um."
Ai nodded, and with Mitsuyu's affirmative reply, her initial nervousness subsided.
Even so, it's not enough.
Guangyou didn't understand why that person did this. If it were him, he would definitely use the controller to speed up the Ferris wheel and shorten the time it takes for the Ferris wheel to complete one rotation.
This was done to get all the tourists out of the Ferris wheel cabins, as only hostages under their control could play a greater role in negotiations with the police.
"Could he be that bald cape-wearing hero?"
Guangyou couldn't help but chuckle. "If that's the case, then one punch from him would indeed kill us all, so it would definitely be effective."
"What bald cape hero?"
Ai pressed her head against Kousuke's chest, the faint sound of his heartbeat making her feel even more at ease. "Is it your new nickname?"
"How could that be? My hair is perfectly healthy."
Even in this situation, Kwang-woo still joked as usual, "By the way, if I really went bald, would you mind?"
"you guess?"
Ai seemed to forget their current situation, pressing her head against Kousuke's chest and whispering.
"I'm not going to guess anymore. Just tell me after this is over."
Actually, he thought that if he were really that bald man in the old-fashioned yellow cape, it wouldn't be a bad idea.
His strength goes without saying; no matter what kind of monsters or demons they are, a single ordinary punch is enough to finish them off.
Unfortunately, he wasn't... Even though his training intensity was even greater than Seth's, he still didn't reach even half... less than one percent of Seth's level.
I shook my head, deciding to stop thinking about these unrealistic things.
At this moment, Guangyou was trying to figure out what that person was thinking.
If someone wants to take the tourists on the Ferris wheel hostage, they should try to take control of the entire Ferris wheel.
Only by putting the lives and deaths of tourists in his own hands can he have a voice.
Otherwise, the police could simply assign a sniper to disqualify him from negotiating.
Of course, if the sniper is Guangyou, he can take care of that person regardless of whether they have hostages or not.
Then Guangyou began to examine his current situation. He should be at the highest point of the Ferris wheel now.
Although the view is open here, under these circumstances, this place is the most dangerous.
To sum it up in one sentence: "There's no way to go to heaven or to hell."
Trying to escape without any tools is like a miser laying an egg—a pipe dream.
Even he wasn't confident he could climb down from here without tools.
"I wish I had Kidd's hang glider."
When Kōyū thought of Kaito, whom he hadn't been separated from for long, he suddenly missed that arrogant face.
If he had Kaito's equipment, he could have escaped with Ai using a hang glider right now.
