He smiled somewhat awkwardly and said:
"We plan to take out the time capsule and read it aloud at the class reunion."
"To be honest, it's a little embarrassing to say."
"I don't care," Yanagimachi Takeru said nonchalantly. "Anyway, I've already fulfilled my dream of becoming a firefighter."
“I’m fine with it too,” Seiko Ichihashi chimed in. “Being a doctor has always been my dream.”
“If she doesn’t come, we won’t be able to find the time capsule.” Murata Takumi raised his hand to check the time. “We don’t know when she will arrive.”
Hearing the group discussing this, Kobayashi Sumiko took a card out of her pocket and said:
"Actually, that child handed the card with the location of the time capsule written on it to the teacher."
"However, it is not a map with routes and locations drawn on it."
"But rather..."
As she spoke, she showed the card to the group of people.
When the three of them saw the contents of the card, Guangyou noticed that their expressions had changed.
Having spent a lot of time with Conan, whenever this kind of situation occurred, he would wonder if someone had died again.
But upon reflection, he felt there must be other reasons.
The card contained five points of attention, along with a name:
Go see Monet.
Attacked aircraft.
Don't go to paint.
Doctors cannot lie.
Do not burn the 89 amulet.
And a line written vertically reads "Library Committee Member Akemi Miyano".
"Another code." Guangyou muttered to himself, speechless. "It's one thing that they're all graduates of Teitan Elementary School, but why do they all like using codes? Can't they just be direct?"
"It is said that when the child handed the card to the national teacher, he also said that it contained a message for everyone."
"And some words for my sister whom I rarely see."
"Leave it to me..." Ai muttered softly.
"Then let's go look for it."
Guangyou, who was just complaining, suddenly got excited when he heard this.
He said:
"Since she left a code, it means she wants us to use it as a clue to find her."
"She hasn't arrived yet, and the place isn't set up properly, so let's go find the time capsule first."
Ai looked at Kousuke, who had initially shown little interest but became so enthusiastic after hearing those words, and a hint of a smile appeared in her eyes.
"Okay." The group responded in unison.
...
There was no apparent connection between the six codes, so the group initially planned to search for them one by one in order.
The first sentence, "Let's go see Monet," led everyone to choose the principal's office.
The reason for going to the principal's office to look for clues is that the principal of Teitan Elementary School, Ryujiro Uematsu, is a big fan of the painter Monet.
He often boasted that he had reproductions of Monet's paintings in his principal's office.
Upon entering, the first thing I saw was Murata Takumi's award-winning painting from years ago.
The group then used this as a topic of conversation, chatting and searching for clues.
As they chatted, the topic turned to Akemi, who had left these coded messages.
"What kind of person was she back then?" Kōyū asked Murata Takumi, searching for clues everywhere.
Ai stopped what she was doing and looked up.
She rarely saw her older sister when she was a child, and the number of times she met her sister can be counted on one hand.
Although they are sisters, she doesn't know much about her older sister's life.
“Her?” Murata Takumi thought for a moment and said, “She was a very kind, lively and cheerful girl.”
He recalled the situation and said with a smile:
"Basically, there wasn't a single boy in the class who didn't like her. I was no exception."
"Of course, including me, she seriously rejected all of us."
"After what happened, in that kind of environment, to still maintain this mindset," Guangyou sighed softly, then smiled. "Thankfully, it's all over now."
At this moment, a smile involuntarily appeared on Ai's face.
She and her sister had never talked about these things before.
This was the first time she had learned all this, the first time she had known the details of her sister's life, and the first time she had heard someone else describe her sister in this way.
She wasn't being praised herself, but she felt a sense of satisfaction.
All of this was observed by Guangyou.
He smiled too.
...
After searching for five or six minutes, the group found a Japanese kanji character behind a painting in the principal's office.
The discovery made everyone feel that their line of thinking was correct.
The next sentence is "attacked planes".
This time, everyone found another pseudonym by looking at the clock on the wall of the auditorium.
The third sentence, "Don't go to draw," was found on the doorknob leading to the school roof.
Because of some events that happened back then, the rooftop was listed as a place that was strictly forbidden to go to in the school.
The fourth sentence was "Doctors cannot lie," and the group found another alias under the bed in the infirmary.
Because many children lied about feeling unwell and went to lie down in the infirmary.
All the pseudonyms, when put together, led the group to the library.
After using the computers in the library to look up school materials, the group discovered that the original tool room had been converted into a restroom ten years ago.
The trail seems to have ended there.
However, Kwang-yu had a different idea.
He focused his attention on the last sentence, which seemed to have nothing to do with the code, written vertically: "Library Committee Member Akemi Miyano".
Just as he and Ai were discussing, they heard Kobayashi Sumiko tapping on the keyboard of an old computer, saying:
"When I was the library committee member, this computer was still a new one."
