"Class reunion?"
Walking home from school, Kōyū looked at Ai beside him.
"Um."
After nodding, Ai showed Kousuke the text message Akemi had just sent her, saying:
"My sister asked if we wanted to go to her elementary school reunion this Sunday."
"We're going to her elementary school reunion?" Guangyou asked, somewhat puzzled. "Is that appropriate?"
"Who knows what my sister is thinking?" Ai shrugged.
She wasn't sure what Akemi was thinking either. When she asked Akemi earlier, Akemi didn't answer, but just said, "You'll find out when you get there."
"Are you going?" Ai wanted to ask Kōyū's opinion.
After thinking for a moment, Guangyou agreed, "Since Sister Mingmei wants us to go, then let's go."
"Um."
"Oh, right."
Remembering something that had recently happened, Kōyū asked Ai again, "Ai, have you found a house yet?"
"No," Ai shook her head and said, "There are empty rooms nearby, but my sister and I don't think they're suitable."
Originally, Ai lived there for safety reasons, but now that the organization has been completely wiped out, there is naturally no longer any concern about that.
Perfect timing, she also wanted to live with her sister.
Incidentally, she also wanted to make room for Professor Agasa and Fusae to be alone together.
Recently, Professor Agasa and Fusa have made rapid progress.
With the help of Guangyou and the others, who created opportunities for them, the two of them, though not yet having made a direct confession, were close enough.
It's only a matter of time before the two confirm their relationship, move in together, and even file for marriage.
"Speaking of which, there seems to be a vacant room in an apartment building near the office." Kōyū recalled the vacant room information he had inadvertently glimpsed this morning.
Upon hearing the word "nearby," Ai raised an eyebrow almost imperceptibly, and said in a calm tone:
"Then you can ask around for me later."
"If possible, after attending my sister's class reunion this weekend, we can go and look at houses together."
“Okay,” Guangyou readily agreed.
After dropping Ai off, Kōyū prepared to return to his agency.
He hadn't walked more than a few steps when he saw Shinichi Kudo carrying a bag, walking towards him from a distance.
"Judging from this, you still haven't sorted it out?" Guangyou's tone and expression were full of teasing. "Tsk tsk tsk, you're not very good at it."
"There's nothing I can do," Shinichi Kudo said helplessly. "I tried to ask her out, but she wouldn't go, saying she already had plans with Sonoko."
Since Shinichi Kudo confessed to Ran, their relationship has become somewhat strained.
It wasn't exactly a Cold War.
On weekdays, Ran did not avoid Shinichi Kudo, but they simply communicated less and no longer walked home from school together.
Even if they happen to go back together, Ran won't talk to Shinichi Kudo; she'll only talk to Sonoko and Mitsuyu.
Based on Mitsuyu's experience, he felt that Ran seemed to have not fully accepted the fact that Conan was Shinichi Kudo.
Shinichi Kudo also tried to mend their relationship, but as he said, Ran did not accept his invitation.
"Good luck." Guangyou patted his arm, then prepared to leave.
In contrast, he was quite relaxed.
On the day Shinichi Kudo confessed, he naturally aroused Ran's suspicion because of his good relationship with Conan.
Fortunately, his acting skills were superb, far superior to Sister 2.08 million. Coupled with his impeccable identity and various proofs of his identity, this dispelled her suspicions.
But what about Shinichi Kudo...?
It still depends on him.
"Kuangyou, do you think our relationship... will be affected?"
Hearing such a misleading remark from Shinichi Kudo, Kōyū stopped in his tracks, glanced at him, and said:
"We are just friends, good friends, there is nothing else strange about us."
Seeing that Kōyū seemed to have misunderstood him, Shinichi Kudo quickly explained, "It's not the two of us, it's me and Ran."
"I know, I was just joking with you."
After waving his hand and explaining to Shinichi Kudo, Kōyū finally answered the previous question, saying:
"I think you don't need to worry."
"Right now, Xiaolan hasn't accepted this fact yet, and she hasn't figured out how to face you next."
"And you did quite a lot of things when you were still Conan."
"As for what it is, I don't need to tell you, do I?"
As he spoke, he raised an eyebrow at Shinichi Kudo, his eyes practically radiating mischievousness.
"Cough cough cough...that's true."
Even without Mitsuyu saying it directly, Shinichi Kudo understood what Mitsuyu meant.
They didn't discuss this issue in detail, but Kōyū offered Shinichi some advice based on his own experience:
"Besides, she'll definitely be a little angry if you keep it from her."
“She and my husband are a bit similar in this respect. Although they know they can’t help much, they still want to try their best to share the burden.”
"And it's something like this where a single mistake could be fatal, so it's normal for her to be angry."
"Keep being more proactive, but don't cling to me all the time."
"Do small things within your ability, such as accompanying her to club activities and handing her water afterward."
"Prepare a small apology gift with care."
"She's not the kind of girl who doesn't understand people."
"A gift?" Shinichi Kudo rubbed his forehead, leaned against the wall, and said with some distress, "It's not like I've never given one before."
"You call that a gift?"
Thinking of the gift Shinichi Kudo mentioned, Mitsuyu couldn't help but scoff:
