17 Days of Scavenging

17 Days of Scavenging

As he spoke, the Third Young Master gestured to the person next to him to reveal the face of the snow-haired boy.

Only then did the slow-witted little robot realize that the human in front of it was talking to it.

He didn't let anyone else do anything; instead, he confidently raised his head and looked at the human in front of him with a strange expression: "Hello, is there anything I can help you with?"

A hint of amazement flashed in the Third Young Master's eyes. He hadn't expected that the unusual color of the person's hair and pupils would not make the whole person look out of place at all, but instead give people a different kind of beauty.

If he had just said he wanted this person to stay with him for a few days because he was annoyed that the guy was tactless and dared to block his way, now he actually wanted to keep the person in his palace.

Thinking this, the Third Young Master's attitude was no longer as frivolous as before: "Which palace are you from? How about transferring to my place? I am the Third Young Master of Qing Kingdom. There are plenty of good things at my place, and your life will definitely be better than yours now."

The little robot slowly began to understand what the human was saying.

—Are you transferring me to another work location? Does "good stuff" mean there's good garbage?

The little robot was curious about "good trash," but unfortunately, it was a trash can with principles, and its work area had been set, so it couldn't change its position at will.

However, the little robot was also a little reluctant to miss out on the good trash. After thinking for a moment, it tried to negotiate with the human in front of it: "Excuse me, could you wait a moment? I need to finish my current work first, and then I can go to you."

That's a strange statement.

Before the Third Young Master could say anything, one of the people surrounding him sneered, "Oh, look, they've even served this? Who do they think they are, making our Third Young Master wait? Even Wanwan from Miaole Garden doesn't have this kind of pomp!"

"Who has the audacity to put our Third Young Master at the back of the list? Tell us, and we'll go and reason with them ourselves."

"But I must say, no wonder the Third Young Master takes a liking to him, he's quite handsome, isn't he? If you get tired of him later, could you give him to me to try?"

"Go away, don't scare them." The Third Young Master waved them away, then looked at the snow-haired boy again. "Don't worry, someone of my status wouldn't stoop to such a thing as forceful robbery. If you really don't want to, I won't force you."

"But you should think it over carefully. I never mistreat those who follow me."

As he spoke, fearing that the young man in front of him might not have any idea, the Third Young Master casually picked up a string of jade pendants from his waist and showed them to the young man.

"Look, isn't this pretty? It's made from a meteorite from outer space. Not to mention the entire Qing Kingdom, even if you include the other countries, no one else has such a large piece to make into an accessory, right? If you're willing to follow me, I can give you something like this if you want!"

Upon hearing this, the young men around him couldn't help but show expressions of surprise.

Then, one by one, people complained, some genuinely and some feigning, that the Third Young Master had become ungrateful for a beautiful woman. They couldn't even borrow such a fine thing to play with, yet now he was so generous as to give it to a pretty girl.

The third young master wore a smug look on his face, confidently waiting for the person in front of him to agree.

The moment I showed off my jade pendant, this little beauty kept looking at me. She must like it. How could she not agree to my request?

However, to his utter surprise, while the little robot was indeed in that ring, its focus was quite different from that of the humans.

After receiving the same answer from several scans, the little robot was certain it wasn't mistaken. It then scanned the Third Young Master again before saying seriously, "I'm sorry, this item..."

Before the little robot could finish speaking, the Third Young Master's expression had already turned rather unpleasant after being rejected time and again.

"Alright, you've got guts. If you're not happy, then you're not happy. It's not like I absolutely need you. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We'll see how you fare after this. If you want to come back to me again, you'll have to beg me."

"I might not be willing even if you beg me; it depends on my mood."

The surrounding youths became gloating, and they mocked and belittled the snow-haired boy even more recklessly.

The little robot, whose words were interrupted and who had no habit of interrupting, watched them silently the whole time, without taking their words to heart at all.

He was only thinking about when these humans would stop so he could finish speaking.

The third young master, annoyed, stopped them, saying, "Alright, didn't we say we were going to play polo? Let's go. I'll wait for someone to come begging to me later."

The group then prepared to leave.

The little robot didn't have a chance to speak at all.

However, just as they took half a step with laughter, a hand warmer flew through the air in an arc and landed firmly on the Third Young Master's shoulder with a thud.

The hand warmer fell to the ground, scattering its silver charcoal wires everywhere, with a few sparks flying towards the people around it.

The young men surrounding the Third Young Master hurriedly scattered, patting their clothes as if afraid they might catch fire somewhere.

The third young master, who had been hit hard, was furious and was about to curse in the direction from which the hand warmer had been thrown.

"Which dog dares to be so...father!"

With a thud, the Third Young Master, upon recognizing the person who had entered, quickly knelt down.

The young men around them forgot about swatting the sparks and knelt down one after another.

"Greetings, Your Majesty!"

It was His Majesty the King who threw out the hand warmer.

The king's gaze was deep, his face extremely grim. Seeing his son kneeling on the ground, he couldn't hide his anger: "You just said, who should beg you?!"

The third young master's heart skipped a beat.

At this moment, his mind, which had been basking in the praise of the youths, finally came back to life and he suddenly realized that the eunuch beside the snow-haired boy looked somewhat familiar; he seemed to be the one who worked for his father!

Now, this eunuch is standing beside the snow-haired boy...

Once he understood what this meant, the Third Young Master turned pale.

The king didn't look at the third prince again, but went to the little robot and asked him kindly if he had anything to do.

The little robot shook its head, completely unaware that the humans' previous words were meant to humiliate it.

The little robot only focused on one question: "Excuse me, do you still need this stove?"

The snow-haired boy squatted on the ground and pointed to the gilded landscape furnace that had been slightly deformed from being smashed.

It's as if it's saying, "If you say no, I'll pick it up right away."

The king's anger subsided for a moment.

I had heard before that the Immortal Master's hobbies were extraordinary, and seeing them now, it's true.

Putting aside the fact that the immortal master clearly wanted the hand warmer, even without the immortal master's presence, the king would not want something that had been broken and was flawed. So he shook his head, indicating that he did not want it and would leave it to the immortal master to do with.

So, under everyone's watchful eyes, the little robot carefully picked up the hand warmer, not even leaving behind the scattered silver charcoal threads, and put them all inside.

Even though the embers of the burning charcoal were still glowing red, he still picked them up without hesitation.

The fingers that had been in close contact with the charcoal fire remained fair and slender throughout, without a single burn mark, not even a hint of redness, as if they hadn't picked up burning charcoal at all.

This scene left everyone around speechless.

One young man, not believing in superstition, also secretly touched the piece of silver charcoal closest to him.

What if this kind of charcoal really doesn't get hot to the touch when it burns? he wondered.

Then, a scream clearly showed his fate.

After tidying up everything on the ground, the little robot stood up, exuding an air of satisfaction.

Immediately afterwards, the people around witnessed another miracle besides taking the charcoal with his bare hands—the boy slapped the stove against his chest, and it vanished!

Even the king, who had already heard about this, suddenly narrowed his eyes.

Not to mention the Third Young Master and his companions, who thought "Snow-Haired God" was just a story and didn't pay much attention to it!

The group of young men who had been spewing foul language earlier all went limp and collapsed to the ground, unable to even kneel.

Those with a weaker constitution were already covered in cold sweat.

The king's gaze toward the little robot grew even more intense. He kicked the third young master, who was still kneeling on the ground, and said, "Get over here and apologize to the immortal master!"

The third young master lowered his head and apologized through gritted teeth: "I'm sorry, I was blind and offended the immortal master. I hope the immortal master will be magnanimous and not hold it against me."

The little robot, who had just picked up a piece of high-quality trash and was still thinking about how to repair the hand warmer, suddenly heard a human apologizing and was inexplicably bewildered.

What happened? Why are you apologizing?

The little robot wondered, "Perhaps there are other people besides this 'immortal master' that humans talk about?"

Thinking this, he ignored it.

He glanced at the eunuch who had led the way and said, "We've already wasted so much time, let's keep going."

As for the king who suddenly appeared here, the little robot didn't think it was because of him.

This entire palace is the other party's territory. They can appear wherever they want, so what does it have to do with me?

The king and his son, who were also ignored, were speechless.

The king kept a composed expression, revealing nothing. The third prince, however, seemed to be experiencing such disrespect for the first time, his eyes filled with resentment.

So you're a celestial master, huh? I'll expose all your tricks and charades! You'll regret it when you fall into my hands!

The third young master stared intently at the snow-haired boy's back, muttering to himself.

Then the boy stopped in his tracks.

His heart skipped a beat again: ...Could it be that powerful, able to hear everything I'm thinking?!

The little robot, of course, wasn't equipped with mind-reading capabilities. He suddenly stopped, only remembering that he hadn't finished speaking when he was interrupted.

Now that none of the humans are speaking, it's the perfect time for him to continue.

The little robot looked at the Third Prince, then at the King, and thought it would be better to tell his human father this directly.

Then, the little robot pointed to the jade pendant worn by the third young master and said seriously, "After confirmation, this item of yours is a coral stinging stone. It contains stinging elements, which are highly toxic. Close contact with humans will cause poisoning."

"I just scanned your body, Third Young Master, and I regret to inform you that you have been stung by poison, and the severity has reached moderate to high. You need to treat it immediately, or it will endanger your life."

Everyone: "!"

King: "!!"

Third Young Master: "!!!"

The third young master was furious, his face turning red with rage: "What kind of damned immortal master are you! How dare you curse me! Father, his blatant offense is a slap in the face to the Qing Kingdom! Seize him now!"
