Chen Feng continued digging in the pit, lifting the soil above his head with each shovelful before sending it out.
If the sand is blown in a good direction, it's fine; but if it's blown in a bad direction and the wind happens to blow it all back, it will fill Chen Feng's head with sand.
And so, Chen Feng dug shovel by shovel until he finally felt he had reached the object.
He threw the shovel outside, replaced it with a small spade, held a flashlight in his right hand and the spade in his left, and began searching for goods.
After shoveling soil around and finding nothing, Chen Feng picked up a shovelful of dirt, held it above his head and ran it over the outside of his house. If he didn't see anything, he tossed it away and took another shovelful.
When Chen Feng tried to shovel down again, he didn't go down; he felt like he had hit a big rock again.
He used a small shovel to pry the stone out.
But when the shovel dug around, Chen Feng was immediately stunned.
The stone reflected a dark yellow luster, making it seem less like a stone.
Upon seeing this, Chen Feng excitedly threw away the shovel and began rubbing the gold back and forth with his left hand. As the area he rubbed grew larger, Chen Feng's eyes widened more and more.
I'll knock your mother's head off!
Seeing this, Chen Feng could no longer resist. He grabbed a shovel and pried the large piece of gold out of the ground.
When the gold revealed its true form, it reflected a dark yellow luster under the flashlight.
For a moment, Chen Feng's breathing became rapid. He stared blankly at the piece of gold, feeling as if he were in a dream.
The reason was simple: Chen Feng had never seen such a large piece of gold before. Compared to this piece of gold, the large gold nuggets he had previously found were nothing, not even worth mentioning!
Chen Feng picked up the gold and grinned from ear to ear. It was so heavy that he couldn't even lift it with one hand!
That must be so heavy!
Chen Feng packed his things and couldn't wait to carry the gold out of the pit.
It wasn't very noticeable while it was in the pit, but when the gold was taken out of the pit and the bright sunlight shone on it, the sense of awe became even more pronounced.
Chen Feng hugged the gold, wiped the dirt off it with his hand, and couldn't help but chuckle to himself.
"Haha, hahaha, hahahaha, haha."
He said to trust yourself, because your intuition will never be wrong for no reason!
If Chen Feng really missed out on this huge piece of gold, he wouldn't just regret it for the rest of his life, he'd regret it to death in his next life too!
He touched the gold in his pocket, clearly delighted with it, and grinned from ear to ear.
All he wants to do right now is shout something to the heavens.
"Cool!"
As for how much this piece of gold is actually worth, Chen Feng can no longer estimate it.
He knew it was very heavy, extremely heavy!
Back in the car, I put the gold in the trunk and then took out the 17,000 yuan gold nugget I'd found that morning to compare it.
The contrast is even more striking when the two pieces of gold are placed side by side!
That piece of gold worth 17,000 looked utterly insignificant compared to this huge piece of gold.
He's not even worthy of being called a son, let alone a grandson!
Chen Feng is now feeling refreshed and even doesn't feel hungry anymore. He's so happy that he even wants to do a little dance.
He had only one thought in his mind: he wanted to find a scale to weigh the gold and see how heavy it really was!
"Hehe." Chen Feng touched the gold with his left hand and took out his phone with his right hand to check the time.
It's already past three o'clock.
That means he dug for more than five hours, almost six hours, to find this big piece of gold.
Because of this piece of gold, the shovel broke and the leg was injured.
But when that piece of gold came out, it was all worth it.
If every time he broke a shovel, he could find a piece of gold like this, then Chen Feng would rather break shovels every day. He would keep a whole box of them in his car, hahaha.
He casually pulled a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, took a deep drag, leaned back in the car, looked up at the sky, and slowly exhaled a puff of smoke.
The large piece of gold was right next to him, and Chen Feng looked incredibly dashing.
That's right, this is the real life of a gold prospector!
What were I before? Bullshit. I was nothing but a scavenger, not a gold prospector.
After finishing his cigarette, Chen Feng stuffed the large gold nugget into a box, drove straight home, and said, "I'm not going to shop around today. I'm not going to shop for anything. I'm just going home for dinner!"
He needs to borrow a scale later to weigh himself properly and see how heavy he really is.
Moreover, once the excitement wore off, Chen Feng was so hungry that he couldn't keep going even if he were asked to continue rummaging around.
Soon Chen Feng drove back to Xia Yingying's villa and parked his car in the same spot he had parked the day before.
There are several parking spaces available right now; I guess they haven't come back yet.
Chen Feng took the windproof stove, preparing to start a fire to cook, and then took out a box of mutton hot pot.
He was getting hungrier and hungrier as he looked at it, and he even wanted to open it and eat it cold.
Chen Feng packed some rice into the lunchbox, but he deliberately grabbed a little extra, intending to follow his usual method.
I tried cooking the rice first, then heating up the dishes, but then I realized that wouldn't work.
"This whole thing takes so long, it wouldn't even last an hour."
Chen Feng glanced at the villa, then carried the lunchbox and stove inside, intending to ask Xia Yingying for some hot water so that the rice would cook faster.
After putting all the equipment on the table by the door, Chen Feng looked at the spiral staircase, hesitated for a moment, and then shouted.
"Hello, hello, I'd like to order some hot water."
Chen Feng's voice seemed to be heard upstairs, and soon the sound of high heels could be heard.
Xia Yingying walked down wearing a dark blue long dress.
She seemed somewhat surprised to see Chen Feng.
Why are you back so early?
She glanced at the watch on her wrist and spoke.
It's only four o'clock! No gold prospector comes back this early.
"I'm hungry and too tired to work. Can I borrow some hot water? It'll make cooking faster." Chen Feng waved his lunchbox and laughed.
Xia Yingying looked at the set of utensils on the table and understood what he was going to do. She nodded without saying anything and turned to get the kettle to boil water.
Although the villa was large, people like Chen Feng could only loiter around the entrance; she wouldn't let them in.
The kettle boils water much faster than the small alcohol burner on the stove. Xia Yingying quickly brought over a kettle of boiling water.
"Thanks."
Chen Feng took the kettle, poured boiling water into the aluminum lunchbox, and after it was almost full, he put the lid on, lit the alcohol burner, and placed the lunchbox on the stove.
Xia Yingying was right next to him, watching his every move, and she found it quite interesting.
This was the first time she had ever seen gold prospectors cook like this. In fact, although she came into contact with gold prospectors every day, she had never really seen their daily routines.
If she weren't forced to, she wouldn't want to stay here even for a single day.
Chen Feng finished doing all this and handed the kettle to Xia Yingying, who took it and spoke.
"You are one of the very few people who say thank you."
Xia Yingying intended to return the kettle, but then she noticed the fine sand covering Chen Feng's head.
"How did you get so dirty? Is it very windy today?"
