Chen Feng pulled him inside, and the five of them went into the shop.
Behind the counter were a mother and her daughter. The proprietress was sitting on a stool looking at her phone, while the girl had placed her phone on the counter and was standing, looking down at it.
"Hello, how about a box of Yuxi cigarettes?" Chen Feng said casually, leaning against the counter.
"Okay, twenty-three."
The little girl looked up and reached out to give him a Yuxi cigarette.
The girl had slightly dark skin, a round face, and two dimples when she smiled. She was actually quite pretty and looked like a girl who could manage a household.
"How old are you this year?" Chen Feng asked, taking a cigarette.
"Me?" The girl was taken aback.
“Yes.” Chen Feng smiled.
"I'm twenty-one," the girl replied after a moment's hesitation.
Upon hearing this, the proprietress looked up and glanced at the group of people. She didn't recognize the others, but she recognized Li Chunlai and the young man who frequented the place.
She could roughly guess what it meant, so she smiled and didn't stop them.
"Twenty-one, graduated?" Chen Feng asked.
"That's all. There's nothing else to do, so I'll just stay home and help out at the shop." The young girl was a bit more outgoing than Lin Nian, perhaps because she had been running a shop and dealing with people since she was little.
"Are you dating anyone?" Chen Feng asked bluntly.
Upon hearing this, the little girl covered her mouth and smiled shyly, then shook her head.
“That’s perfect. I have a friend who’s also single, and he likes you. Why don’t you two give it a try?” Chen Feng said quite directly.
"What the heck?" The girl turned her head away embarrassedly, not knowing how to answer the question.

Upon hearing this, Lin Nian blushed to the roots of his ears and didn't dare to look up.
"It's true, I'm not kidding you." Chen Feng was still discussing it.
"You're not talking about him, are you?" the little girl asked, looking at Li Chunlai.
"What are you talking about? How could I possibly be interested in you?" Li Chunlai joked.
"You make it sound like I'd be interested in you, pshaw." The girl snorted.
Li Chunlai has lived in this village since he was a child and often comes to the store; the two of them have known each other for a long time.
"My brother has taken a liking to you. Come on, say hello to her." Li Chunlai pulled Lin Nian over and pushed her in front of her.
The girl and Lin Nian looked at each other, then both turned their heads away in embarrassment. With the unspoken truth suddenly revealed, who could bear to look at the other?
Seeing that neither of them spoke, Chen Feng took out Lin Nian's phone and said, "Hey girl, whether you're interested or not, add me on WeChat first."
"You can't force feelings. If you're compatible, you can talk more. If you're not compatible, you can just be friends."
It wasn't that Chen Feng was too blunt; it was mainly because Lin Nian was too quiet and reserved. He guessed that every time Lin Nian came to buy something, he would just take the item, pay, and run away without saying a word to his family.
If things continue like this, by the time the girl has a child, Lin Nian probably still won't know what her WeChat ID is.
Hearing this, the girl covered her mouth, turned her head away, and laughed without answering. Seeing this, her mother smiled and said, "Let's add it first and see what happens."
Hearing her mother speak, the girl turned to the side and handed the QR code to Chen Feng.
Chen Feng scanned the QR code with Lin Nian's phone and gave an OK sign.
"Alright, let's hang out sometime sometime. We're off now." Chen Feng waved and handed his phone to Lin Nian.
As soon as Lin Nian heard that they were leaving, he ran even faster than Chen Feng.
"Hey, hey, where are you going? You haven't paid for your cigarettes yet." Chen Feng pulled him back, gesturing for them to go first and for Lin Nian to stay and pay.

Lin Nian scanned the QR code with his phone to pay, and he didn't dare to look up the whole time. He ran away as soon as he finished paying.
The girl couldn't help but laugh when she saw Lin Nian's simple and honest appearance.
"What do you think of him?" the proprietress asked after everyone had left.
"I don't know," the girl replied, pursing her lips.
"The young man is a bit shy, but otherwise seems quite decent. Let's get to know him first. You're twenty-one already, it's about time you got married," the proprietress said.
"We'll see, Mom. We don't know what it will be like yet," the girl said, her face growing redder as they talked.
"What a pity. Actually, I had my eye on the one who was talking. He should be Chen Feng, right?" the proprietress said with some regret.

"Are you still embarrassed? If you're still embarrassed, the girl you like will be snatched away by someone else. There are plenty of people who want a young girl like that in her prime," Chen Feng threatened him.
"Then... what should I do? Should I ask him out to the city tomorrow?" Lin Nian asked, mustering his courage.
"I'm asking you to show off a bit, not to just run away with the person. First, chat with them, talk about everyday things, and wander around the village when you have nothing to do."
"You rascal, you're going to drag her straight to the city? Why don't you just let her bring her ID and get married directly?" Chen Feng said with a laugh.

"What are you afraid of? Take her for a ride in your BMW tomorrow, and I guarantee you can get anything done," Huang Fei said with a smile, patting him on the shoulder.

Lin Nian didn't realize Huang Fei was joking at all, and instead answered very seriously.

"Why don't we give it a try?" Huang Fei hesitated for a moment and looked at Li Chunlai.
"Give it a try?" Li Chunlai squinted one eye, somewhat hesitant.
