Chapter 378 You Sleep in the Pit

Finally, having no other choice, Huang Fei put the item in his pocket and covered it tightly with his hand.

This is the safest way; you can feel the presence of the goods at all times without them being thrown away.

And so, Huang Fei, clutching his thigh, walked home in a rather strange manner.

As soon as he entered, his father was smoking by the door while the others were chatting. Huang Fei's strange posture immediately caught their attention.

"No, can you be normal for once? What are you doing?" Huang Fei's mother sighed helplessly.

This kid is such a worry. We just had some serious business to attend to a few days ago, and now he's causing another strange occurrence.

"You got shot in the thigh? Why are you still covering it?" his father said with a deep frown, looking utterly exasperated.

Who would be so kind as to walk like this? What kind of child did they give birth to?

"What? You're the one who got shot! I have something inside, goods for Fengzi, worth hundreds of thousands. You're kidding me."

Huang Fei rolled his eyes at his father, annoyed.

"What kind of goods are worth over 100,000? Let me see them," his father asked suspiciously.

"You can only look, not touch. I can't afford to pay for it if you lose it." Huang Fei took it out of his pocket and showed it to them.

"This looks like a child's toy. Who would buy something worth tens of thousands of dollars?" His grandfather glanced at it and said with some disbelief.

"Just kidding, this thing is called gold-wrapped silver, it's extremely rare. The yellow stuff here is all gold, pure gold, solid!"

"Fengzi told me, otherwise would I be taking it so seriously?" Huang Fei scoffed.

"Pure gold, and solid?"

"That's quite valuable. You'd better keep it safe and don't show off and lose it. Pure gold is no joke." Upon hearing this, his grandfather immediately became serious and dropped his previous expression.

"Okay, I'm going inside." Huang Fei put his things in the drawer before taking off his clothes and getting onto the kang (a heated brick bed).

The next day, Huang Fei and his group headed towards the abandoned mine in the small village, their loads full. Huang Fei kept touching the contents of the mine in his pockets, and eventually it became a habit.

After shifting gears, he casually touched his thigh, and someone who didn't know better would think he had heat rash.

Once they arrived at their destination, Huang Fei checked his pockets and then, with a sigh of relief, called Chen Feng.

"Fengzi, the items have been delivered safely. When are you coming to pick them up?"

"You went to the abandoned mine in the small village?"

"We've arrived, just arrived."

"Just wait." Chen Feng hung up the phone and said to Xia Yingying at the dinner table, "I'm going out to get something, so I won't be able to pick up the dishes for you."

"What do you want?" Xia Yingying asked casually.

"I'll bring that piece of goods I mentioned before back to you later." Chen Feng smiled, grabbed his coat, and went out to call Lin Nian.

"Let's go for a stroll."

The two quickly drove to the abandoned mine in the small village. They were sitting together warming themselves by a fire, and Zheng Ping was still holding the diamond-shaped piece in his hand.

"Hey Fengzi, is this thing really worth over 100,000 yuan?" Zheng Ping asked curiously, looking at the object.

"Of course, what did you think?" Chen Feng handed out a pack of good cigarettes to everyone.

"Here you go, this thing is heavy to hold," Zheng Ping grinned.

Chen Feng took the goods, chatted with them for a while, and then headed back.

When he rushed back, there was still light in Xia Yingying's hall.

Chen Feng knew he was waiting for him, so he pushed open the door and went in.

"You're still waiting for me?" Chen Feng said with a smile.

"No, I can't sleep." Xia Yingying sat in the chair, holding her phone without even looking at Chen Feng.

"Okay, here you go." Chen Feng tossed the diamond-shaped block over.

Xia Yingying reached out and caught the diamond-shaped block, then examined it carefully.

"My goodness, there really are things this neat and orderly! You're incredibly lucky!" Xia Yingying exclaimed, looking at the rhombus-shaped blocks.

"Who knows how much it'll sell for? I'll contact Chairman Qi tomorrow and deliver it to him," Chen Feng said, sitting down and lighting a cigarette.

"Don't smoke so late at night." Xia Yingying glanced at him.

"Oh." Chen Feng obediently stubbed out his cigarette.

You were the one who said you could smoke, and you're the one who said you couldn't. Women, huh?

"What will happen to Lin Nian if you leave tomorrow? Why don't you take him with you?" Xia Yingying suddenly remembered.

“He’s not going. He means that he’s free tomorrow anyway, and even though he doesn’t have a car, he’s going to walk over to buy some goods.”

“I had already dug the pit beforehand, but I thought about it and decided against it. It’s quite a long walk there, not worth it.”

"If he can't stay put tomorrow, let him do whatever he wants at your mine," Chen Feng said, pouring himself a glass of water.

"Is it just a matter of sending the person over?" Xia Yingying asked hesitantly.

"Yes." Chen Feng nodded.

"Then I'll take him tomorrow. I don't have anything else to do anyway. What time in the morning?" Xia Yingying said.

"In that case, I'll trouble you. I'll be leaving at seven in the morning, so you can take him there at seven."

Chen Feng smiled.

"Okay, I understand. Here's your stuff back. I'm going to sleep now." Xia Yingying handed him the things and said decisively.

"Okay, I'm off then." Chen Feng waved and walked out of the villa, carrying his things.

"Your sister Ying will take you to our place tomorrow, at seven in the morning," Chen Feng told Lin Nian when he got back.

"Sister Ying is dropping me off, will she pick me up and bring me back?" Lin Nian asked with some concern.

Over the past few days, other people have come to try their luck, and Lin Nian has seen Xia Yingying's attitude towards them.

It's completely different from following Chen Feng.

To be honest, Lin Nian was a little afraid of Xia Yingying even when Chen Feng wasn't around.

"No, you can sleep at the mine tonight. There are ready-made pits, you can just squat in one, and it'll be sheltered from the wind." Chen Feng's tone was quite serious.

"Brother, don't tease me. You really want to sleep in the pit?" Lin Nian looked troubled. He didn't want to sleep in the pit because it was cold.

"You know I was just teasing you? Do you think she'd pull you back or throw you into a mine?" Chen Feng said, leaning against the small bed, utterly speechless.

This child is good in every way, except that he is too honest.

"Oh, hehe, it's good that you've brought me back. By the way, bro, where am I going to sleep tonight? I have nowhere to sleep if you don't come back." Lin Nian suddenly realized.

"Didn't I tell you? You're sleeping in the ditch, damn it, do you think I can go all day? Do you think I won't come back at night?" Chen Feng rolled his eyes at him and said irritably.

"Oh, as long as there's a place to sleep, that's fine. I thought I was going to go into the villa. Find me a room to sleep in. I wouldn't dare be alone with her in the villa without you here. Even if we're not in the same room, I'm still afraid of her."

Lin Nian couldn't help but mutter to himself.

Upon hearing this, Chen Feng turned to look at Lin Nian, completely speechless with anger.

They even offered to find you a room in the villa. I didn't even say I wanted to sleep in the villa, and you still want to go in the villa?

I shouldn't have come back tonight; I should have let you sleep in the pit.
