"Wuhu, Wuhu!"
Chen Feng held the item in his hand, and upon seeing its color, he instantly transformed into a monkey, beaming with joy.
The item had a dark yellow sheen and was quite large; Chen Feng estimated it to be worth over 20,000 yuan.
Chen Feng happily packed up the goods and continued walking forward.
An hour passed quickly, and Chen Feng found four or five more items, but unfortunately they were all silver. However, Chen Feng was still very satisfied.
Today's income has exceeded Chen Feng's expectations; he calculated it and it's almost 50,000 yuan.
He carried his tools and walked towards the Wuling van. Soon after, he got in the car and drove towards the Zhang family compound.
The drizzle was still falling, but Chen Feng was finally able to change out of his wet clothes, which was a relief.
As I drove the car into the courtyard, I found that some people were already eating inside, but there were only two or three of them.
The others don't seem to have returned yet.
Chen Feng first carried his bag and clothes, took a shower inside, put on clean clothes, and then comfortably came out to get his food.
The soup for dinner was seaweed and egg drop soup, with plenty of ingredients, unlike the school cafeteria Chen Feng used to attend.
That bowl of soup was real soup; there was no seaweed or egg drop soup at all.
After taking a sip of the hot soup, Chen Feng clicked his tongue and picked up a piece of sweet and sour pork with his chopsticks.
Freshly made food tastes better; canned goods are just garbage.
On the other side, Zheng Ping and his group also set up a campfire, and everyone sat around it, waiting for the food to cook.
"Haha, isn't it strange? Here, the sky is cloudless and the weather is perfect, but it rained all day at Fengzi's place," Yin Xing said, looking at the weather forecast.
"Really? It rained all day?" Zheng Ping asked curiously, peeking out.
"Of course, the weather forecast can't be wrong, take a look." Yin Xing turned his phone over to show him.
"Damn, it's true. Fengzi is really suffering. What a waste of a day," Zheng Ping said regretfully.
"That's for sure. Besides, it'll rain all day, and the car will be so damp. It won't be comfortable to sleep at night, and even eating will be a problem. You won't have any firewood to start a fire either," Yin Xing said regretfully.
“Fengzi has a windproof stove, but he has to cook the rice first before he can heat up the dishes. This whole process takes at least an hour before he can eat,” Huang Fei said after calculating.
"Well, that's great. Besides, nothing is easy to do on a rainy day. Even washing rice can get you soaked in the rain." Zheng Ping grinned.
"The problem is he gets tired of eating canned food every day. It's a pity Fengzi isn't here, otherwise he could have eaten my stewed white meat." Zheng Ping smelled the aroma from the pot and was intoxicated by it.
Stewed Four Whites is a classic dish from Northeast China, which includes frozen tofu, cabbage, glass noodles, and pork belly. Today, because someone has a cold, we don't have any medicine.
So Huang Fei went to the hills and replenished his supplies, which allowed them to finally have a decent meal.
"Absolutely! This dish smells amazing, and the best part is there's meat in it. It's a shame Fengzi can't have any." Yin Xing fanned the dish with his hand and said exaggeratedly.
"What can Fengzi eat? He just eats canned food every day. It's nothing like what we eat," Zheng Ping joked smugly.
"It's so damp at night, but it's so dry here, haha. If I sent a picture of this to Fengzi, he'd be drooling with envy." Huang Fei was overjoyed.
"Oh dear, the more I talk about it, the hungrier I get. Hurry up and let's eat, I can't wait any longer," someone said, carrying a bowl of cooked rice.
"Alright, alright, it's ready to eat. Come on, let's dig in." Zheng Ping took the pot off the table, and as soon as he opened the lid, a wonderful aroma wafted out.
Everyone gathered around the pot, slurping and eating with gusto; it smelled absolutely delicious.
"Oh, right, when I went to the supermarket, I also bought some semi-finished seaweed and egg drop soup. You just take a piece and soak it in hot water, and it turns into a bowl of soup."
"It's been a while since I've had soup, let's make some," Huang Fei suggested.
"Okay, okay, this stuff is great. Quickly boil some water, we'll have some soup later. My goodness, eating stewed white meat and drinking soup, this is just too wonderful." Yin Xingguang was already incredibly satisfied just thinking about it.
Take out the small sealed pot and place it on the fire; the water will boil in a little while.
The water boiled quickly, and everyone took a piece of freeze-dried food and used their own cups to soak it in the soup.
Yin Xing stirred it with his chopsticks and was utterly amazed to see the soup that had taken shape. He had never used this kind of thing before.
Yin Xing took a slurp and his face lit up with a big smile.
"Feeling good, another day that Fengzi would envy."
Yin Xing laughed heartily.
Since Fengzi wasn't around, everyone made fun of him, which was a rare occasion where they were doing better than Chen Feng.
"My brother Feng is probably about to cry when he sees our food. You guys are secretly eating the good stuff without me, right?" Huang Fei chuckled.
"Look at these slices of pork belly, they smell so good! And these glass noodles, I remember Fengzi loves glass noodles."
Yin Xing picked up a piece of vermicelli with his chopsticks and shook his head, as if eating it for Chen Feng, and then ate it all in one big bite the next second.
"But to be honest, it's only because we've had a good harvest these past few days that we're willing to eat like this. We have to thank Fengzi for it."
"There's so much stuff here, and it's huge. I can make six hundred yuan a day. I wouldn't have dared to dream of this before."
Zheng Ping remarked with some emotion, "Six hundred a day! That's almost as much as my monthly income used to be."
“Of course, I’m taking some people shopping today, and I’ll probably spend two or three hundred. This place is really nice, and there’s no one else here.” Huang Fei nodded in agreement.
"If you're already spending two or three hundred, then Lin Nian must be spending even more. How much are you spending today?" someone asked Lin Nian curiously.
Lin Nian blinked while holding the lunchbox and said a number.
"A little over a thousand."
Upon hearing this, everyone instinctively covered their faces and sighed.
The difference between people can sometimes be greater than the difference between a person and a pig.
How come when they were still making six or seven hundred, Lin Nian had already made over a thousand?
"We still have to thank Fengzi. Without him, where would we have earned these six or seven hundred?" Zheng Ping said, taking a bite of rice.
"When I see him again next time, I'll cook him a nice meal to treat him."
Everyone was actually grateful to Fengzi. If it weren't for Chen Feng, they would still be making dozens of dollars a day from shopping, and they wouldn't be able to earn so much.
"Thank you as much as I am, but I still have to be angry with him." Yin Xing chuckled and took out his phone to make a video call to Chen Feng.
I have to tease Chen Feng properly today and annoy him.
“That’s right.” Zheng Ping grinned and squatted down as well.
"I have to show him what's in this cup later," Huang Fei said impatiently, holding the cup.
After a few rings, the call connected, and Chen Feng's face appeared on the screen; he seemed to be chewing something.
"Fengzi, are you eating?"
Everyone's attention was focused on Chen Feng, and they didn't even notice where Chen Feng's background was.
