Chen Feng walked forward for about four or five minutes when the system beeped. He touched his wet hair and looked around.
Having determined the location, Chen Feng took a few steps to the left and squatted down to start digging.
Chen Feng thought he could finish digging the hole quickly, shovel by shovel, but when he tried to dig again, his shovel bounced back.
"Um?"
Chen Feng poked the bottom with the shovel in confusion, but it still felt bouncy, which completely baffled him.
Whose land still has springs?
He dug around in the ground with a shovel and then saw something black peeking out from the ground.
He reached out and pinched it, then dug deeper, and only then did he see that the black thing actually had patterns on its side.
Upon seeing the familiar pattern, Chen Feng suddenly realized what it was.
"Damn it, who the hell drove the car away and left the tires here?"
Even digging for gold and finding a tire made Chen Feng shake his head in disbelief.
The goods are under the tires; if you want to find them, you have to move the tires out first.
He reached out and tried to pull it, but Chen Feng couldn't move it. He could only dig around the tire first, and then dig around the middle of the tire as well.
Once he felt it was about time, Chen Feng grabbed one end of the tire and lifted it up.
Chen Feng dug out a tire, pushed it out a bit, and then set it aside.
Chen Feng stepped on it, and found that the tire was completely flat. In fact, when he stepped on it, he could see a large hole torn in one side of the tire.
No wonder someone would leave a tire here. The tire is so badly damaged that it can't be repaired. I don't know what scratched it.
He abandoned his idea of reusing the waste and turned back to digging the hole.
Before long, Chen Feng dug to the desired depth. He put down the large shovel, switched to a small shovel, and began squatting down to work the soil.
Shovel after shovelful, the detector soon went off.
Chen Feng shook the shovel, but because the soil was a bit wet, it was not easy to shake, so Chen Feng used his hands to slowly dig the soil down.
After a few quick searches, without needing a detector, Chen Feng could see where the goods were, and he reached out and picked them up.
It's a silver nugget, probably worth forty or fifty yuan.
Chen Feng rubbed the silver granules on his leg and then put them into a small bottle.
After cleaning up his mud-covered tools, Chen Feng continued walking forward.
Chen Feng was fine with the rain; a little rain actually made him feel quite cool.
The problem is that these tools get covered in mud when it rains, making them uncomfortable to hold, which annoys Chen Feng.
After walking for more than ten minutes, Chen Feng's system beeped again. He looked around, put down the detector, took a few steps to the right, and squatted down.
Holding a shovel, Chen Feng dug the soil one shovelful at a time. After about seven or eight shovelfuls, he suddenly shoveled down, but couldn't move it. The shovel head went in a few centimeters and then couldn't go any further.
He moved it back and forth, but it still didn't work. Chen Feng guessed there were stones underneath, so he took back the shovel and dug under the stones, trying to pry them out.
The shovel did indeed go in, and Chen Feng flicked it, seeing a silvery-white object being thrown out.
"?"
Chen Feng looked at the object in the distance and walked over. The object was reflective and long, so it probably wasn't silver.
Upon closer inspection, Chen Feng discovered that it was actually a wrench, and he bent down to pick it up.
The wrench was in pretty good condition, almost like new, with no signs of rust. Chen Feng tapped it and found it to be of excellent quality.
A wrench like this would cost at least thirty or forty yuan outside.
"Damn, what's going on today? Why are we digging up all sorts of weird and strange things?"
Chen Feng chuckled, wiped the wrench, and tossed it into his bag.
Even digging out a wrench would be fine, saving him the trouble of buying one; it's better than digging out a tire.
Turning back, Chen Feng continued digging the pit he had just dug, constantly kicking up sand and soil, and the pit quickly took shape.
He switched to a small shovel and began shoveling soil.
In no time, he got the goods out and started peeling them off bit by bit.
After passing through the detector several times, Chen Feng searched back and forth with the shovel and pulled out a single silver coin.
This silver coin is estimated to be worth twenty or thirty dollars, and it's smaller than the previous one.
"Alright then, adding a wrench won't save you a lot of money." Chen Feng smiled and put the silver granules into the small bottle.
Based on what he had just seen about the tires, Chen Feng could even imagine what had happened.
Someone's car must have broken down here, and they got out to change a tire.
As a result, the wrench was left lying on the ground after use and could not be found. In addition, the tire had such a big hole that it could not even be repaired.
In a fit of anger, he probably drove off, abandoning the tires.
"What a pitiful man."
Chen Feng couldn't help but laugh out loud while packing up his tools.
After all, you can sell used tires for scrap metal and get a couple of dollars.
Carrying his tools, Chen Feng saw a figure panning for gold in the distance.
I guess that's the owner of that car.
The person seemed to have seen him too, and looked up in his direction.
Chen Feng glanced at him, then turned to the side, not joining him.
Seeing that Chen Feng had left, the man continued to look down at the goods without reacting.
After all, it's common to run into people at paid mining sites, and everyone values harmony; nobody wants to cause trouble for no reason.
About seven or eight minutes after Chen Feng turned the corner, the system beeped again.
After glancing back and forth, Chen Feng confirmed the location of the goods. He squatted down, picked up a shovel, and began digging.
The rain seemed to be getting heavy. Chen Feng usually felt unbearably hot, but today, after spending several hours in the rain, he even felt a bit chilly, especially when a breeze blew, making him feel quite cool.
If it were a hole, it would be a little more comfortable; walking in it would be even colder.
The problem is, wearing clothes is useless; no matter how many clothes you wear, you'll still get soaked.
All I can say is that the mutton hotpot I ate this morning was worth it; my stomach feels so warm. If I had eaten cold bread this morning, Chen Feng would be shivering right now.
As Chen Feng began digging, his body warmed up.
He dug the hole one shovelful at a time, and soon a hole appeared. Chen Feng wiped the rain off his face, squatted down, and started to dig the soil with a small shovel.
After about three or four shovelfuls, Chen Feng found the goods. He dug through the soil bit by bit, and finally, after half a day, he picked them up.
It was a small gold nugget, probably worth a little over a thousand.
"good."
Chen Feng smiled and put the small gold nugget into the bottle.
A gust of wind blew by, and he rubbed his shoulders, unable to help but shiver.
Chen Feng took out his phone and checked the time.
It's 10:40 now. If the weather stays like this and there's no sun, he'll go home for dinner early. He's really starting to feel the strain.
Carrying his tools, Chen Feng walked forward for about seven or eight minutes before the system beeped.
For some reason, this place seems to be a bit low-lying, and there's even some standing water.
Chen Feng placed the detector in a high place and took a look.
