Chapter 391 Hello Auntie

Xia Yingying held her rice bowl with her head down and didn't say anything. Chen Feng changed the subject, and the two of them eased up a bit.

After finishing his meal, Chen Feng went to his car to get his clothes, and when he came back, he told Xia Yingying, "I'm going to take a shower."

"Wait a minute, there's nothing for showering inside. I'll go upstairs and get it for you." Xia Yingying looked at the clothes he was carrying, thought for a moment, and then went upstairs.

"Actually, I don't need much to take a shower." But as Chen Feng was speaking, Xia Yingying went upstairs, so Chen Feng could only wait for her downstairs.

A short while later, Xia Yingying came over carrying three bottles.

"What are all these?" Chen Feng asked, puzzled, as he took them.

"Shampoo, body wash, and conditioner," Xia Yingying pointed out to him one bottle at a time.

"Wow, it's so complicated for you guys to take a shower. I usually just need a bar of soap and shampoo," Chen Feng said with a grin, holding the bottle.

"There are still several bottles I haven't brought for you." Xia Yingying rolled her eyes. It seems what they said online was really true.

A man uses a handkerchief to wipe himself from head to crotch, right?

Chen Feng shrugged, carried the things inside, and came out a dozen minutes later with his hair soaking wet.

"You're done washing already?" Xia Yingying looked at him in surprise.

"Yeah, otherwise, it's only because I haven't washed my hair in a long time that it took so long; otherwise, it would have been over much sooner," Chen Feng said, drying his hair.

"Do I need you to take the things out?" Chen Feng asked as he was wiping, only to realize that the things were still in the bathroom.

"No need, let's talk about it later." Xia Yingying wasn't in a hurry, so she shook her head.

The two were chatting idly when a car pulled up outside, and soon four people walked in.

An elderly middle-aged couple, along with a young man and a woman of similar age. The young man's arms were covered in tattoos, and he looked like a hoodlum.

When she saw them come in, Xia Yingying's pupils contracted for a moment, her eyes filled with surprise, and she looked at them with a complicated expression, her lips tightly pursed.

Chen Feng was puzzled as to why this whole family had come to pan for gold, but unexpectedly, the young man spoke first: "Sister, you're doing quite well here. This big villa is all yours now. Why didn't you tell us?"

Upon hearing this, Chen Feng stared wide-eyed at the young man.

sister?

What's going on?

"Why are you here?" Xia Yingying asked the four of them coldly.

"We've come to see you. You're really rich now, aren't you? You've grown wings and don't even recognize your family anymore, have you?" The middle-aged woman in the lead spoke loudly and her tone was rather impolite.

"I don't need you to look at me. If there's nothing else, you can leave." Xia Yingying turned her head and spoke coldly.

"What kind of talk is this? We've come all this way to see you, and this is how you treat us?"

“We really wasted our lives giving birth to you. They say a married daughter is like water spilled from a bowl, heartless and thoughtless. In the end, I am still your father, and she is still your mother.”

The tall, middle-aged man had an angry look on his face.

"How could I have given birth to you for nothing? Didn't I bring you back a million? Now that the money is all spent, you've remembered me again?" Xia Yingying said with a self-deprecating smile.

"What are you saying? If it weren't for me, would you be living in this big villa and living such a good life?"

"Don't take your blessings for granted! You have so much to complain about. Who can I complain to?" the middle-aged woman scolded, hands on her hips.

After she finished speaking, she looked at Chen Feng, whose hair was still wet.

Who are you?

"Hello, Auntie, I'm Xia Yingying's friend." Chen Feng waved and greeted her with a forced smile.

It seems these are Xia Yingying's family members; it's only right that I greet them.

Xia Yingying's mother looked Chen Feng up and down, as if she had noticed something, but she didn't say anything and continued to look at Xia Yingying.

“Xia Yingying, I know you have money now, and that man is dead.”

"Your younger brother lost money in business before. As his older sister, it's not a problem for you to help him out, right? Give him two million." Xia Yingying's mother finally revealed the purpose of her trip.

"Two million?"

Xia Yingying's eyes were full of disappointment, as if she had expected it all along.

"So you haven't contacted me for six years, and this time you're only here for money, is that it?"

“I don’t have a single penny. If that’s all, you can leave now,” she said, taking a deep breath.

"Stop pretending. With such a huge gold mine in your hands, living in a villa, and driving luxury cars, who would believe you if you said you weren't rich?"

"If you say you have no money, then sell your villa, sell your car, and get the cash. If you have no money, why are you living in such a nice place? What are you pretending for?" the young man said with a sneer.

"Xia Jie, why should I sell my house and car to give you money? Do I owe you or do I owe you? Tell me!" Xia Yingying glared at Xia Jie and said angrily.

Xia Jie was furious at Xia Yingying's words, but he didn't know what to say for a moment.

His mother chimed in, "He doesn't owe you anything, but you owe me!"

"I raised you all these years, and now that you're rich, shouldn't you repay my kindness in raising you?"

"Besides, he's your brother. How can you be so heartless as to watch creditors come knocking on your door every day to collect debts? Don't you have any conscience at all?!"

"I paid back what I owed you six years ago. Isn't one million enough? How much more do you want?" Xia Yingying became increasingly agitated.

"Not enough, far from enough! You can never repay my kindness in raising you!"

"If it weren't for me, you wouldn't even have this life. What will you use to repay me!" the middle-aged woman glared and shrieked.

“That’s right, we are your parents, and this is how you treat us? Are you even human?” Xia Yingying’s father pointed at her and shouted back.

"Who isn't human? Have you ever treated me like your daughter?!"

"Where were you when Gao Xiaowen beat me? Where were you when others pointed fingers and cursed at me? You were counting money!"

"Back then, I cried until my tears ran dry. You threatened to kill yourselves to force me to marry Gao Xiaowen, all for that one million yuan dowry!"

“You’ve only ever had Xia Jie as your son, never me as your daughter.”

"I said that very day that we would sever all ties and owe each other nothing!"

"You promised it yourselves, have you all forgotten!" Xia Yingying said through gritted teeth.

"Blood is thicker than water. Can kinship really be severed by just a few words?"

"Back then I thought you were just being immature, but now you think you're still immature? We're all doing this for your own good."

"Without us, could you live in a mansion and drive a luxury car?"

"Look at your furniture, any one of these pieces would be worth a lot of money."

"You'd rather spend money on these useless things than give it to your brother, right? He's your own brother! Xia Yingying, do you even have a heart?!"

Her mother, wearing muddy shoes, casually picked up a delicate vase and shook it back and forth.
