Chapter 64 Your money-transferring method is useless!

"That's not small either. I remember the piece you found in the river last time sold for over a thousand." Zheng Ping grinned, admiring Chen Feng's good luck.

"Just lucky. I'll be going now. You get some rest. Don't forget to let me know how things go tomorrow," Chen Feng said, standing up.

“Okay, if you’re free, stay a little longer. Why are you in such a hurry to go home?” Zheng Ping also stood up and said.

"No, I'll go home and tidy up. I'll go buy some food later." Chen Feng waved his hand, pushed open the door, and walked out.

After leaving the house, Chen Feng headed straight for Lu Dahai's house. It seemed that he had probably decided to go gold panning tomorrow, so he prepared some food first.

As soon as Chen Feng entered Lu Dahai's house, someone inside looked towards the door and, upon seeing Chen Feng, eagerly inquired.

"Fengzi, you really found gold in the ground? What happened?"

"Yes, we heard it from people in other villages, so we don't know if it's true or not."

Everyone looked at Chen Feng, who walked in and leaned against the bar, saying, "It's true, just a small piece of gold. You guys are really well-informed."

When Chen Feng admitted it himself, everyone was amazed. It was unbelievable that such an outrageous thing could happen to Chen Feng.

"Now that you've struck gold, you're bound to get some good stuff, right?" Lu Dahai joked with Chen Feng.

"What good stuff do you have? It's been the same old stuff for years," Chen Feng said, rolling his eyes.

“Take two boxes of white ginseng, and then…” Chen Feng looked at the counter, puzzled.

He's really tired of eating bread and sausages every day, and besides, he doesn't have anything else worth bringing.

"And then what do you want? Are you going to pan for gold tomorrow?" Lu Dahai asked.

"Yeah, they probably went. Zheng and the others are all alright," Chen Feng nodded.

"Then how about some bread and milk, and a few sausages?" Lu Dahai said, as usual.

"Is there anything else? I'm so sick of eating bread." Chen Feng felt nauseous just hearing about bread.

"That's all, how about some cookies?" Lu Dahai said, looking at the shelf as well.

"Let's have bread and sausage instead; cookies are even worse," Chen Feng conceded, nodding helplessly.

He doesn't like bringing his own side dishes because he doesn't like eating cold food; he'd be okay with it if he could heat it up at lunchtime.

However, since it was in the middle of nowhere and there was nowhere to heat the food, Chen Feng decided not to bring it.

"Here's some new bread, with pork floss, just for you to change things up," Lu Dahai said, picking it up by the sea.

"OK."

Chen Feng nodded, thinking that changing things up was better than not changing the gun at all.

"By the way, Fengzi, I don't have a detector either. Why don't you go and check my field to see if there's anything there?"

"If the goods actually come out, we'll split them 50/50," Lu Dahai said, also somewhat tempted.

"Forget it, you have so much land, it would take me five or six days to explore it all by myself, and I might not even find anything."

"I think I'll go to the abandoned mine; it's more stable there."

Chen Feng didn't want to bother with Lu Dahai at all. Besides, Chen Feng knew that there was probably nothing in the ground, and it was much more practical to go to the abandoned mine.

"Hey, let's talk this over. How about I cover lunch?" Lu Dahai said, still unwilling to give up.

"I'm not going. Why don't you hire me? Three hundred a day," Chen Feng said, offering a different offer.

Upon hearing this, Lu Dahai immediately fell silent. What a joke! Three hundred a day? How many counterfeit goods would he have to sell to earn that back?

Do you really think selling counterfeit goods is that easy?

"How much is it in total?" Chen Feng asked, taking out his money.

"one hundred."

Lu Dahai said irritably that it was both revenge against Chen Feng and a joke.

"Damn it, what did I buy for a hundred? You better talk to me properly, or I'm leaving." Chen Feng pretended to leave with his things, but Lu Dahai quickly grabbed him.

"Hey, hey, brother, you're my brother, we're thirty in total," Lu Dahai said, yielding.

"That's more like it."

Chen Feng took out thirty yuan and handed it to Lu Dahai, then picked up his things and walked out the door.

After he left, someone inside the room said with some suspicion.

"Do you think this could be true? It sounds so far-fetched to me."

"Could it be that Air Force Chen Feng buried the gold in the ground on his own because he was afraid we'd laugh at him?"

Those around him agreed, saying, "I think it's possible. Finding gold in the ground is too far-fetched, isn't it?"

"We've been farming in our village for decades, and we've never heard of anyone finding gold in the ground. Is Chen Feng really that lucky to find gold in the ground?"

Others disagreed, saying, "No, you can't fool people with this."

"Many people at the scene reportedly saw him take it out with their own eyes, how could it be fake?"

"If one person is blind, then everyone is blind?"

"I think Chen Feng missed the air force yesterday and saved up all his luck for today."

Some people just can't stand seeing others do well, so they'd rather believe Chen Feng fabricated something and created a mystery than believe he actually found gold.

Little did they know that if Chen Feng heard their words, he would definitely look down on them.

He'd rather nobody know he's making money than deliberately fabricate stories to boost his own image.

You're all amazed when you find a piece of gold in the ground, but if Chen Feng told you that there were no short sellers yesterday and he made almost five thousand, wouldn't you be shocked to death?

They'd probably be so red-eyed they wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

On the other side, Song Hui returned from the field carrying the detector, panting heavily. He went into the house, threw the instrument on the ground, and cursed angrily.

"What kind of nonsense is this? There's no gold in this ground. What a load of rubbish! I've stepped in all this mud, and there's nothing here!"

"I think Chen Feng is just messing with us on purpose by spreading this rumor."

His father heard the noise and came out of the house. Upon hearing this, he frowned and said...

"What's wrong now? What are you yelling about?"

"Why are you making such a fuss? You insisted that I go to our land to see if there's any gold. I waded around for hours, but I didn't see any gold."

"What 'Five Ghosts Transporting Wealth' method are you talking about? What did you manage to transport? If you did manage to transport anything, why didn't I find anything, while Chen Feng made a fortune today?" Song Hui said to his father with annoyance.

Song Hui's father looked puzzled upon hearing this and said with some bewilderment, "No way, I studied it thoroughly and I must have succeeded. Otherwise, how could Chen Feng have been in the air force yesterday?"

"Logically, you should have found something to buy today, it shouldn't be like this."

Song Hui's father was still wondering where his metaphysics went wrong, but Song Hui waved his hand impatiently.

"Give me a break, I shouldn't have believed you."

"You spend all your time studying those lousy books. The other day you were even researching how to walk through walls. What are you going to do, walk through Widow Li's wall?"

"Don't get stuck in the wall halfway through your clothes, or I'll have to dig through the wall to rescue you."

"If you like her, just go find her. Don't spend your time studying these useless things."

"You plant a little land but don't weed it. You're always thinking about using magic to tell the insects not to eat your seedlings but to eat other people's."

"How come you're so amazing? Are you trying to fly to the heavens?"
