Chapter 70: The Fight Began

Sure enough, Chen Feng's choice of direction was quite good; he filled the small bottle containing silver granules in just over three hours.

One after another, it's truly a treasure trove.

Chen Feng glanced at the time; it was around 4:30. He put his hands on his hips, looked at the blazing sun, downed the last bottle of mineral water in his bag, and kicked it away.

"What a pity, where is the gold? If only I could get another piece of gold, then I'd have a complete refrigerator." Chen Feng took a deep breath and continued walking forward.

But this time, his luck seemed to have run out. He walked for almost an hour without finding anything.

"God, please don't play this on me, is this all for today?"

Chen Feng dragged his somewhat heavy steps forward. To be honest, he was a little unwilling to have failed to collect enough refrigerators in a day.

"bite."

“There are precious metals within a three-meter radius of the host.”

Upon hearing this long-lost voice, Chen Feng stopped, took a deep breath, drew a range with his eyes, and then carried the detector to conduct a thorough search.

He was so hot and tired that he really couldn't keep going.

If he could have a sip of iced cola right now, he would definitely be fully revived, but unfortunately that's just wishful thinking for Chen Feng.

Even the water I was carrying in my bag was scalding hot, let alone iced cola.

They continued probing slowly until the very end, when the detector finally sounded.

"Ooh-woo~"

Chen Feng pulled out a shovel, placed the detector beside him, and squatted down.

There were a lot of rocks in this area, making it difficult to shovel. I tried several times, but the shovel kept hitting the rocks and bouncing back down.

Chen Feng could only try to scrape away the stones on top first, and then slowly prepare to use the shovel.

While planing, Chen Feng also had to be careful not to send the goods flying.

After digging, Chen Feng pulled over the detector to confirm that the goods were still underneath before lowering the shovel.

Chen Feng shoveled up a shovelful of soil, waved it at the detector, but the detector didn't react. He then flung the soil away and shoveled up another shovelful.

After repeating this process several times, the detector finally sounded.

"Ooh-woo~"

Chen Feng raised an eyebrow and slowly shook off the sand.

After a few moments, Chen Feng spotted the object hidden in the sand.

"well."

Chen Feng looked at the item, sighed deeply, took out the silver nugget worth a dozen yuan, and put it into the bottle containing gold.

I feel hopeless about finding a refrigerator in a day, so I can only add the gold nugget I found in the field yesterday to my list.

Chen Feng stood up, picked up the detector, and walked towards the van. It was almost time to go back.

After walking for about seven or eight minutes, just when Chen Feng had given up hope, the detector he was casually carrying suddenly went off.

Chen Feng subconsciously looked down at his feet, guessing it was just another piece of scrap metal.

Because of the system...

"bite!"

“There is precious metal within a three-meter radius of the host!”

Chen Feng was stunned when he heard the voice.

Holy crap, is it really such a coincidence?

Chen Feng chuckled, pulled out a shovel, squatted down, and started shoveling, omitting even the need to use a detector to pinpoint the location.

With one shovelful, before the detector could even reach the crater, Chen Feng froze, his eyes widening involuntarily.

Because in that crater, two irregularly shaped golden beans lay quietly.

"this……"

Chen Feng was at a loss for words.

Reaching out, Chen Feng picked up the two golden beans, a smile involuntarily spreading across his face.

He never expected that this final shot would result in a double yolk!

It came so easily, as if God knew his refrigerator was missing a door and specially sent it to him; he couldn't refuse it.

"You rascal, God still seems to be on my side, haha."

Chen Feng chuckled, his fatigue vanishing with the sight of those two golden beans.

Neither of the two gold beans was small; Chen Feng estimated that each one was worth about six hundred.

Two of them would cost at least 1200, so the refrigerator is a done deal.

Chen Feng put the two gold beans into the bottle, closed the lid, and happily put them away. He then carried the detector to the van.

He couldn't wait to go back and sell it to buy a new refrigerator.

Just as he was about to get close to the van, Chen Feng saw a group of people gathered around it.

He initially thought everyone had returned and was chatting before getting on the bus, but upon closer inspection, he realized something was amiss.

The number of people is clearly mismatched; it seems to be more than twice the size of Chen Feng's group.

And upon closer inspection, it seems like they're arguing.

Seeing this, Chen Feng quickened his pace, wanting to figure out what had happened.

When Chen Feng got closer, he found that it was indeed the case. Zheng Ping and his group were arguing with the people opposite them. Chen Feng did not recognize those people, and the argument was getting more and more heated, as if they were about to come to blows.

Chen Feng placed the detector next to the car and quickly walked over.

"Go to hell! I found this place first and was planning to come back and buy it later. How did it become yours?" the stranger glared at Zheng Ping and said angrily.

Zheng Ping was furious upon hearing this and pointed at the man, shouting, "You're talking nonsense! You've been following me around for the past hour, and you acted like you were deaf when I told you to leave!"

"I just heard a sound coming from here, and you followed me to investigate too. Are you trying to cause trouble?!"

The man didn't back down at all, and snorted coldly, saying, "I scouted this place before, but I forgot the location and have been looking for it ever since!"

"I was here before you arrived. Don't you know anything about first come, first served?"

Upon hearing this, one of the old gold prospectors on Chen Feng's side scoffed and said, "You're trying to fool us. We didn't see you here when we came this morning."

"Moreover, there is an unwritten rule in the gold prospecting industry: when one gold prospector is nearby, another gold prospector should voluntarily avoid him."

"Which village are you from? Don't you know the rules?"

The man speaking was named Yin Xing. He had been panning for gold with Zheng Ping for a long time, and the two of them had joined the industry together.

"Screw your rules! I'm from Xiaoqiao Village, my name is Li Chunsheng. I've never heard of these rules. The rule here is that if my detector goes off, it's mine. You all get out of here!"

Li Chunsheng sneered and pointed at Yin Xing and his group, cursing them without any politeness.

Upon hearing this, his companions shouted loudly and stepped forward to put pressure on Zheng Ping and his group.

"Yes, this is the rule of our Xiaoqiao Village. Who do you think you are? Get out of here!"

"Get out of here!"

"That's right, get out of our way and don't stop us from making money!"

Zheng Ping and his group were furious upon hearing this. In this day and age, there are still people who openly snatch goods from people's faces. Don't they have any shame?

Chen Feng frowned upon seeing this. He knew Xiaoqiao Village; it was infamous and the saying "poor mountains and bad waters breed wicked people" was absolutely true.

The village is full of unreasonable people who steal chickens and dogs and do all sorts of petty crimes.

That village is not close to Chen Feng's village, so the two villages usually don't have much contact. I didn't expect a conflict to break out here today.
