Chapter 89 begins to stir things up.

After walking for half a day, stumbling along the muddy paths, just as Chen Feng was about to change direction and explore back, the system suddenly beeped.

"bite!"

“There is precious metal within a three-meter radius of the host!”

Hearing the sound, Chen Feng stopped turning and chuckled instinctively.

"So you won't make a sound unless I leave, huh?"

After scanning the area with his eyes, Chen Feng picked up the detector and began to investigate point by point.

The detector finally sounded after it had almost completely scanned the area.

"Ooh-woo~"

Chen Feng laid the detector down, squatted down, and took out a shovel.

Under the scorching sun, Chen Feng dug through the soil, shovel by shovel, past the detector.

Sweat dripped from Chen Feng's forehead into the pit he had dug. The next second, the sweat, carrying sand and dirt, was swept away by a shovel. When it was discovered that the detector had stopped working, the shovelful of dirt was shoveled away.

Chen Feng wiped the sweat from his forehead with his arm and continued shoveling.

After about seven or eight shovelfuls, the detector went off. Chen Feng's hand holding the shovel trembled slightly, but he continued to pass the shovel through the detector.

"Ooh-woo~"

Chen Feng trembled again upon hearing the sound, and continued to pass through the detector.

"Ooh-woo~"

The detector was still making noise, indicating that the goods were still in the shovel.

Chen Feng then shook the shovel again, his eyes fixed on something that had been thrown out and was moving downwards.

It was a grayish-white particle that Chen Feng recognized all too well.

He casually passed the soil from the shovel through the detector and then flung it away to prevent double yolks, before picking up the silver nugget that had fallen to the ground.

He blew on the silver granules, took out a small bottle, and threw them in; it was about fifty yuan.

Chen Feng stood up, carrying the detector, and hesitated, looking at what was in front of him and what was to his left.

He was trying to turn, but something landed on his feet.

Is this a sign from heaven telling him not to change course?

Touching his chin, Chen Feng decided to walk forward a little further and see if it would work, then turn around.

Taking a step forward, Chen Feng reached behind his back with his left hand, pulled out a bottle of water from his bag, unscrewed the cap, and drank more than half of the bottle in one go.

Although the water was warm, it still took away a lot of the heat, so Chen Feng put the bottle back in.

After walking for about ten minutes without finding anything, Chen Feng shook his head and turned left.

It seems that fate was telling him to know when to stop and to change course; he had misunderstood.

"I really did kidnap him, I really did." Chen Feng turned around slowly, hoping the system would ring out so he could repeat his old trick.

Unfortunately, the system didn't respond until he turned around and took a step. It seems that the same method only works twice.

"Sigh." Chen Feng shook his head helplessly and walked to the left.

Less than five minutes later, the system's voice sounded again, and Chen Feng stopped.

"See, sometimes hitting a wall won't work, you have to turn around." Chen Feng muttered to himself as he gestured with his eyes, then picked up the detector and started probing from the beginning.

This time we were lucky; the detector went off as soon as it scanned the second row of detectors.

"Ooh-woo~"

Chen Feng squatted down, took out the shovel with his backhand, and this time he did not dig directly, but used the shovel to draw a circle and then drew a five-pointed star magic circle in the middle.

"Golden, golden."

Chen Feng put on a solemn ceremony before digging, and with one shovel he broke through the five-pointed star.

As I shoveled the soil with the five-pointed star on it, the detector actually went off.

Chen Feng was shocked when he saw the shovel. He couldn't help but stare wide-eyed and exclaim, "Holy crap?"

He shook off the dirt and then passed it over the detector.

The detector was still beeping, so he shook it again.

After shaking it three or four times, when there was only half left in the shovel, Chen Feng started to scoop it out with his hands.

In no time, they found the item in the shovel; it was a silver coin, worth about sixty.

Chen Feng tossed the silver granules into the bottle, grinned, and walked forward with the detector in his hand.

It has to be said that Chen Feng's formation seems to have some merit. Although it's just silver grains, if each silver grain can be handled so easily, then that's fine too.

After walking for about seven or eight minutes, the system prompted him again. This time, Chen Feng simply took a shovel and created a large magic circle.

I drew a circle with a radius of three meters, and then drew a five-pointed star on it.

Of course, he'd use the old shovel; he was a little reluctant to use the new one.

After finishing the drawing, Chen Feng held his breath, his eyes resolute, and gave a firm shout before taking the detector to begin the probe.

This time, luck was far worse than last time; the goods weren't found until the very end of the circle.

Chen Feng knocked down the detector, squatted down, and took out a shovel. He was familiar with this rhythm; this meant a big shipment was about to be unloaded.

Don't ask why, just go with your gut feeling.

With one shovelful, the detector did not react, and Chen Feng remained unmoved.

"A second shovel will do," Chen Feng muttered before continuing to dig.

The second shovel yielded nothing, Chen Feng muttered to himself.

"A third shovel will do."

Chen Feng continued digging.

"The fourth shovel was also good."

"The fifth shovel is also fine."

"A sixth shovel will also work..."

"…………"

"Twenty-first shovel, come out."

"Twenty-fourth shovel, are you going to come out or not?"

"Thirty-first shovel, you son of a bitch, you idiot..."

It wasn't until he was over thirty that Chen Feng finally managed to shovel the object out, and the detector emitted a familiar sound.

"Your sister's..." Chen Feng cursed as he looked at the shovel.

He shook off the dirt and continued through the detector.

On the third time, Chen Feng started to rummage through it.

He quickly found a grayish-white particle.

Those grains were so small; this was the largest harvest of the day, and they could fetch up to thirty yuan.

Upon seeing that particle, Chen Feng's defenses were immediately breached.

"Go to hell! You buried me so deep, and you're telling me you're only this small?"

"Do you deserve it? Do you deserve to be buried this deep!"

Chen Feng was so angry that he spat out words and cursed several times before calming down. He threw the silver granules into the bottle, picked up the detector, and stood up.

Taking a deep breath, Chen Feng chose a direction and prepared to head there. Before leaving, he looked back at the drawn magic circle.

"Damn it, trash."

After saying that, Chen Feng walked forward.

After exploring for several more hours, Chen Feng collected a dozen or so silver grains, worth about five hundred yuan.

Chen Feng felt his stomach rumbling, so he found a dense thicket of bushes, aimed at the direction of the sunlight, and crawled inside.

This bush is alright; it's just the right size so he can sit without hitting his head, and it provides decent shade.

He took out bread and water from his bag, tore them apart, and started eating.

After finishing his bread, he bit open a sausage with his teeth. He was hot and tired and didn't feel like putting the sausage in his bread. He was content as long as he could eat it.

After finishing his meal, Chen Feng opened another bottle of water; he had already finished the first one.
