At this moment, Chen Feng had a big question mark in his mind about Zhang Richeng.
"What are you doing? What are you looking at? Do you want to beat him up?" Qi Minglin couldn't help but push Chen Feng and laugh when she saw him staring at Zhang Richeng.
"Why would I hit him for no reason, haha." Chen Feng turned around and laughed.
Chen Feng could only keep this question to himself for the time being. It would be too abrupt to say it now, and if the other party really was only thinking about the country, then it would be too hurtful for him to say it out loud.
"How far are we from the next city?" Chen Feng asked.
"The next city...it seems to be about a three-hour drive away?" Qi Minglin recalled her earlier question.
"Three hours? Why wait until tomorrow? We have nothing to do here anyway, let's pack up and leave now," Chen Feng suggested.
"So rushed now?" Qi Minglin said honestly that she wanted to leave tomorrow; she wanted to stay here a little longer.
She even wanted to see the rare earth ore with her own eyes after it was mined.
"Nonsense, we've already searched for all the mines, what are we still doing here? It's a waste of time. Hurry up and pack your things," Chen Feng urged.
Upon hearing this, Qi Minglin pursed her lips and secretly spat at him.
Why is he more anxious than I am? Who is the exploration team leader between us?
"Everyone pack your things. We'll be leaving in two hours to go to the next city."
"We'll set up camp and eat once we get there," Qi Minglin said, clapping her hands.
Everyone was chatting and relaxing when the plans suddenly changed, and they had to set off now.
"Wow, so eager?" someone said, patting their butt and standing up.
"Nonsense, we've already searched for all the mines, what are we still doing here? It's a waste of time. Go pack your things." Qi Minglin urged.
Upon hearing this, Chen Feng suddenly felt a bit strange.
No, why does this sound so familiar?
Hearing this, everyone had no choice but to slowly stand up and begin packing their things.
Meanwhile, Zhang Richeng was sitting in the tent, legs crossed, looking utterly worried.
"Forget it, it's already like this, how much worse can things get? I don't believe Chen Feng can pull any more tricks, damn it."
He was trying to comfort himself with these thoughts when, a second later, the tent made a clattering sound.
"Holy crap, what's going on? An earthquake!" Zhang Richeng exclaimed in shock, sitting up abruptly and scrambling outside.
"Hey, Brother Zhang, you're in the tent?" The person dismantling the tent said, scratching his head awkwardly as he saw Zhang Richeng crawl out of the tent.
"What's going on? What are you doing?" Zhang Richeng asked in shock, kneeling on the ground without even putting on his shoes.
"Chen Feng said we should pack up and leave now, since we have nothing else to do here anyway. That's why I came to pack up the tent."
"Sorry, Brother Zhang, I startled you. I thought no one was in the tent," the man said with a smile.
"I'll fucking kill you!" Zhang Richeng knelt on the ground, his teeth itching with anger. You damned Chen Feng, you did this on purpose, didn't you?
I told you I wanted to go to Kari, but you refused. I was just lying in my tent for a while, and you even took it apart.
What else do you want? Are you going to kick my rice bowl every time I eat tomorrow?
"Brother Zhang, get up quickly, the ground is cold, put your shoes on," the man said with concern upon seeing the situation.
What he actually meant was, "Brother Zhang, you have no sense at all. Why are you sticking your head out on the ground for no reason?"
Besides, I don't care if you're just sticking your head out on the ground, but you should take your things out of your tent so I don't have to take it down.
"Hmm, damn it, I was thinking of lying down for a while." Zhang Richeng said, climbing back inside, tidying up his things, putting on his shoes, and coming out.
"Indeed, I was just thinking of taking a nap, but I was woken up," the man said, and then continued to pack up the tent.
About an hour and a half later, everything was packed up and loaded into the car.
Qi Minglin gave some instructions to the technicians on site.
"You guys stay here and do your work. We're leaving now. Let me know if anything comes up."
"When you dig out rare earth elements, don't forget to take a picture for me."
"Okay, Sister Qi, don't worry, we'll definitely take pictures of the rare earth as soon as it's dug up, haha." The female technician laughed.
"Um."
Qi Minglin nodded, turned around and got into the car, and the group drove off slowly.
Three hours later, they arrived at the neighboring city.
"Let's set up camp, Master. Let's cook first," Qi Minglin said to the chef.
By the time they had gone back and forth, it was already afternoon, and not only Qi Minglin, but even the chef was hungry.
"Let's get started right away." The chef carried the large pot down and began preparing to start a fire.
After the meal was finished, everyone gathered in twos and threes, enjoying the food immensely.
It has to be said that hunger is the best appetizer.
"Phew, I'm full." Qi Minglin threw the chopsticks into the bowl and put the bowl in front of her.
"Comfortable." Chen Feng lit a cigarette after the meal and took a deep drag.
"After you've eaten your fill, go for a walk around the neighborhood to digest your food," Qi Minglin told him.
"No, it's so late. If I'm going, it'll have to be tomorrow," Chen Feng said, leaning back in his chair and shaking his head as he enjoyed smoking.
"Sigh, you were the one who rushed here, and now you're the one who's not in a hurry. I've discovered you're really shameless," Qi Minglin said speechlessly.
"What's the rush? Good things come to those who wait," Chen Feng said unhurriedly.
As soon as he got out of the car, he explored the entire area, and even took a stroll while cooking.
The result was that nothing was gained, not even a hair.
He already knew there was nothing left nearby, so why bother walking around with Qi Minglin? He might as well sit down and rest for a while.
Let's wait until tomorrow to drive out and explore properly.
As darkness fell, everyone had finished setting up camp and had nothing to do. Someone took out a deck of cards, lit a small nightlight, and prepared to play a couple of rounds to pass the time.
"Brother Chunlai, wanna play a couple of rounds?" someone asked Li Chunlai.
"I'm not very good at it," Li Chunlai said with a smile, scratching his head.
"It's nothing, just for fun, it's very simple." The man stretched out his hand to Li Chunlai, inviting him to join in.
"Okay, what do you want to play?" Li Chunlai asked as he sat down.
"Let's play a game of Landlord (a card game) first, you three know how to play Landlord, right?" the man asked.
“Yes, let’s do it.” Li Chunlai sat cross-legged on the ground, waiting for him to start shuffling the cards.
The three of them weren't playing for big stakes, just one, two, or three yuan. But Li Chunlai was lucky; he won seventy or eighty yuan from the other two in no time.
"Thanks, double the bet if you bring a bomb, six yuan each." Li Chunlai chuckled as he put away the cards.
The two men exchanged a glance, scratched their heads, and continued transferring money.
"Damn it, this is no good today, no cards are coming."
“It’s no use getting cards, buddy, you played pretty well,” the man said to Li Chun.
"Not bad, not bad, I was lucky," Li Chunlai said with a smile.
