The next day, Huang Fei got up and drove to the city to buy vegetables, pork, charcoal, and some daily necessities.
The remaining people were on the riverbank, helping Li Chunlai put on his diving suit.
"Remember that spot from yesterday? Just sweep it up there," Chen Feng instructed.
"Don't worry, it'll be swept clean." Li Chunlai made a gesture, put on his helmet, and went into the water.
Chen Feng has already bought a radio online that can communicate underwater, and it should arrive in a few days.
Of course, the courier can't deliver here; it can only be mailed to the city, and Huang Fei will have to pick it up later.
Li Chun went underwater, grabbed the vacuum tube, and continued to suck up the mud. Although Lin Nian had sucked up the last part yesterday, the river wasn't too turbulent, and the difference in the silt at the bottom of the river was still noticeable after a night's work.
And so, Li Chunlai, like a cleaner, sucked up all the silt from the bottom of the water without leaving a trace, and then sprayed it vigorously from the back of the gold-absorbing ship.
Bored, Lin Nian sat down next to Chen Feng and couldn't help but suggest, "Brother, why don't we get another money-making ship? That way we can have another team working."
"Otherwise, it would be a waste if one person did the work while the other three were idle."
Upon hearing this, Chen Feng shook his head and said, "There are only five of us in total. Two boats are a bit risky. It's easy for an accident to happen if we're not careful. Besides, this is just the beginning. It's relatively calm here."
"Look at that river down there, it's very urgent over there, the two teams simply can't make it."
"Don't worry, I reckon you guys will have a lot to do later on, no one's going to be idle."
"Yes, it's quite rapid over there." Lin Nian looked down at the river downstream and nodded subconsciously.
Li Chunlai continued to suck the mud for over an hour, kicking away small stones when he encountered them, and stopping when he encountered large stones, moving the stones away, and then continuing to suck the mud below.
As he continued to suck, he discovered that he seemed to have sucked up a large rock from the bottom of the river.
Because there was a crack and an angle underneath, Li Chunlai lay down and took a look, and confirmed that it was indeed a large rock, not a riverbed.
He casually put down the vacuum tube, placed his feet on the riverbed, reached his hand in, and then lifted it up forcefully.
He thought the stone would be lifted up slowly and moved away little by little, just like before.
To Li Chunlai's surprise, the large rock did not budge at all when he exerted force, and there was no sign of it moving at all.
Undeterred, he mustered all his strength and lifted it up again, but the result was the same; the large rock still didn't budge.
This left Li Chunlai somewhat bewildered. He lay down and carefully examined the crack. Could he be seeing things? Was this a crack that had been eroded out?
Actually, the rest of the rock is stuck to the riverbed.
However, after looking at it carefully for a while, he still couldn't figure out what was going on. Instead, because he tried to lift it several times without success, he became uncertain.
He picked up the vacuum tube and continued to suck up the surrounding area. Once he had sucked up the entire area, he would know whether it was a large rock or just an exposed riverbed.
As the vacuum tube began to suck up with full force, this area was quickly exposed to Li Chunlai's view.
When the true form of the stone was revealed to Li Chunlai, he was utterly shocked.
The large rock covered a considerable area, almost twice the size of Li Chunlai's outstretched limbs.
He put down the vacuum tube, grabbed one corner again, and with all his might, gritted his teeth and lifted it upwards.
This time, Shi Tou's response made Li Chunlai break out in a cold sweat.
"Damn, the stone moved! It really is a stone, not a riverbed!" Li Chunlai wiped his face with his mask, superficially wiping away sweat, his words filled with seriousness.
Now it's clear that this isn't a riverbed; it's really just rocks.
The next problem is that he can't move such a big rock at all. What should he do?
Having no other choice, Li Chunlai thought for a moment and then swam to the surface of the water with the vacuum tube in his arms.
Whether to try to move it, skip this rock and continue absorbing other places, or go back and listen to Brother Feng's opinion.
When he reached the shore, Chen Feng and Lin Nian were both somewhat surprised, and then they went forward to pull him ashore.
After all, Li Chunlai had returned in just over an hour.
"Brother Feng, we've run into trouble. There's a big rock down there. What do we do?" Li Chunlai asked, taking off his helmet and catching his breath.
"Big rock, how big is it?" Chen Feng asked upon hearing this.
“It’s huge. Let me put it this way, I tried my best, and I could only move it a little bit,” Li Chunlai replied, sitting on the ground.
"So big?" Lin Nian asked in surprise.
"Where is it?" Chen Feng stood up and looked at the river.
"This is probably the place," Li Chunlai said, standing up and pointing to a spot on the river.
Following his instructions, Chen Feng used the system to investigate again and immediately found out which place it was.
After all, there was a spot that was spotless, except for a pile of gold in the middle, and it looked like there was quite a lot of it, so it was very conspicuous.
"What should we do, Brother Feng? Should we just skip over it and keep sucking?" Li Chunlai asked.
"No, there must be gold underneath. We can't jump, and there's no way we can jump."
"If we can't get rid of this rock, then there will only be more and more situations like this, and then there really won't be any more opportunities to jump over it."
Chen Feng's gaze was deep; he had already anticipated the situation he would face next.
"What can we do? We can't move this rock at all." Li Chunlai was at a loss.
“Don’t we still have a diving suit? Why don’t I put it on and go down with Chunlai to get it?” Lin Nian suggested from the side.
This is Chen Feng's code of conduct: whenever possible, he will prepare two sets of equipment in case of emergency.
So he bought two diving suits and prepared a lot of parts for the money-making boat, just in case things got delayed.
"It's unlikely. Even with all his efforts, Chunlai could only move the boulder slightly. Even if you went, you'd only move it a couple of times, not solve the problem," Chen Feng rejected the suggestion.
"We don't have any extra diving suits. We'll have to go down and carry them all," Chen Jianguo said helplessly.
"Forget it, it's too dangerous for everyone to go down and move things. Someone has to stay on the shore. Besides, it's not very effective underwater anyway. Five people going would be a waste. We have to think of another way." Chen Feng shook his head.
"If that doesn't work, we can tie the stones together with rope, and then we can pull together from the shore. We don't have to move the stones ourselves."
