What's wrong with me today? What the heck is going on? I actually got three gold medals right at the start of the day!
This has never happened before.
The gold nugget was estimated to be worth around four hundred yuan. Chen Feng put it in a bottle and couldn't help but laugh out loud.
From morning until now, I haven't even taken out the bottle containing silver; instead, I've been constantly trying to take out the gold bottle.
This is truly an eighty-year-old man getting into a bridal sedan chair for the first time.
Putting the bottle in his pocket, picking up the detector, and standing up, Chen Feng couldn't help but laugh out loud, feeling a sense of unreality.
He would only dare to do such a thing in his dreams, mainly because the chances of encountering it are too low.
He walked forward carrying the detector, crashing into any bushes he saw. Anyone who didn't know him would think he had some kind of peculiar hobby, enjoying the burning sensation of being scratched.
About half an hour later, on a flat area with many gravel, Chen Feng's system rang.
Chen Feng stopped when he heard the sound, took a deep breath looking at the gravel under his feet. He disliked this kind of terrain full of gravel the most.
Exploring is difficult, digging is difficult, and even standing still is not easy.
After scanning the area with his eyes, Chen Feng stepped onto the gravel and began to probe it, somewhat bewildered.
As he scanned the rows, Chen Feng stumbled several times, nearly twisting his ankle, because he couldn't keep his footing.
"Go to hell! Where did all this rubble come from? Why don't you clean it up?"
Chen Feng muttered.
It took him ages to explore the area, and he only found the goods at the very end. Chen Feng couldn't help but purse his lips in exasperation.
He squatted down, picked up a shovel, and began clearing away the rubble in front of him, prying all the stones off.
Then he cleared away the pebbles under his feet to make a place to stand.
Having learned from his previous experience, Chen Feng was smarter this time. Since the cargo was always this deep, he simply took a shovel and dug twenty or thirty times, creating a large pit in front of him.
Wouldn't that make the efficiency as fast as flying?
Without further ado, Chen Feng grabbed a shovel and began digging vigorously at the ground, shoveling up shovelfuls of soil. When he got tired, he switched hands until the pit in front of him grew larger and larger.
Feeling that it was about time, Chen Feng picked up the detector and probed into the pit.
The detector did not sound, indicating that Chen Feng had already taken the goods out.
We pulled the detector onto that mound of earth, and it went off the next second—just as expected.
Chen Feng used a shovel to shovel the soil from the small mound, estimating that he could get the goods out in just a few shovelfuls.
The first shovel went over the detector, but nothing happened. Chen Feng threw the soil into the pit and then shoveled a second time.
The second shovel still made no sound, so Chen Feng continued to pour soil into the pit, and then took a third shovel...
And so, Chen Feng slowly filled in the pit. Chen Feng was dumbfounded as he looked at the scene before him, and the more he shoveled, the more puzzled he became.
"Dude, what's going on?"
Chen Feng scooped up the loose soil he had dug out and put it in a shovel, preparing to run it over the detector.
Before he could even use the detector, just as he picked up the shovel, he saw something lying quietly on the ground.
Chen Feng blinked as he looked at the object, still holding the small shovel in his right hand.
"What the hell? So I scooped the goods out with my first shovel, and now I'm still digging here, and digging this deep!?"
Chen Feng flung the dirt out of his shovel, his words filled with utter helplessness.
He reached out and picked up the item, a smile returning to Chen Feng's face.
It was a gold nugget worth about five or six hundred, but it wasn't round; it was an irregular shape.
"This is outrageous! It's gold! Did I just stumble upon a gold mine?"
Chen Feng grinned and put the gold nugget into the bottle.
I've already won four gold medals in a row. Is it possible to win five gold medals today?
If I could really get five gold medals in a row, that would be so awesome!
Chen Fengguang was thrilled just thinking about it. He picked up the detector and walked to the side, where there were loose rocks and it was difficult to walk.
He took a few steps, looked back at the rubble, pondered for a moment, and then walked back.
In case there's still stock here, it's okay if it's difficult to walk.
The place wasn't big; Chen Feng walked through it in just a few minutes. Unfortunately, there was only one piece of gold in the place, and the system showed no sign of responding.
Chen Feng could only walk to the side, where he found it more pleasing to the eye.
He still ran into any bushes he saw. Chen Feng thought that if he came here to pan for gold again, he would have to wear long sleeves, otherwise these branches would really scratch his arms.
Perhaps a beekeeper's suit would be a good idea. If Chen Feng wore it, he could walk around this mining area without fear of bushes or anything like that.
But that's just wishful thinking. That outfit looks so hot. If I actually wore it, I'd suffocate inside the clothes before I even got scratched by the bushes.
About half an hour later, and you know what? Chen Feng just kept going up to the bushes he saw, and the system actually gave him a prompt.
"bite!"
“There is precious metal within a three-meter radius of the host!”
Chen Feng stopped when he heard the sound and turned to look at the bush next to him.
If the bushes were sentient, they would be sweating profusely under Chen Feng's meaningful gaze.
The fate of the last shrub is still fresh in our minds.
In fact, Chen Feng was also a bit troubled. He really didn't want to pull up trees anymore. Last time, it took him almost an hour to pull up one tree, and he was exhausted.
It would be best if the goods were right next to the bushes; the bushes would feel secure, and he would have peace of mind.
Chen Feng used the detector to probe back and forth. When he found a bush, he deliberately stretched it downwards, just in case the goods were hidden at the very bottom of the tree trunk like last time, and he missed them.
That being said, it's only because the shrubs aren't very thick. If they were like big trees, even if Chen Feng knew the goods were underneath, he would be helpless and could only watch.
With just the two small shovels in Chen Feng's hands, it would take an unknown amount of time to pry the big tree out, and he should be prepared to break the shovels.
"Ooh-woo~"
The detector went off about seven or eight centimeters from the roots of the shrub.
Chen Feng carefully examined the surroundings and confirmed that the goods were not in the exact center of the bushes, but rather on the side, probably with some bush roots pressing down on them.
It's so much easier to cut a few roots than to uproot the whole shrub.
Once the location was confirmed, Chen Feng breathed a sigh of relief; thankfully, his worst fears hadn't come true.
However, the bush next to it is probably the one that is truly relieved, as it is the one that least wants the cargo to be crushed underneath it.
Chen Feng bent down and crawled under the bushes, took out a small shovel and knelt down.
