Chapter 462 No Electricity

No matter what he did, the machine didn't respond at all. He tried each of the ports, but there was nowhere for it to fall out.

"Holy crap, what's going on?" Zhang Lin asked, puzzled, as he called over Wang Bing.

"Let me see what's going on." Wang Bing took off his helmet, bent over, and started fiddling with it.

The two of them fiddled with it for a long time but still couldn't figure out what was wrong. In the end, they could only stand up and curse.

"Damn it, that bastard Chen Feng, it seems he tampered with the machine after all. I wasted my money buying those tools!" Wang Bing threw his safety helmet on the ground and prepared to call Brother Xu to send someone to repair it.

"Crack!"

The helmet was thrown to the ground, making a cracking sound, and a large hole was punched in the top.

Wang Bing and Zhang Lin: "..."

"This helmet needs to be handled with care, damn it." Zhang Lin was amused and exasperated.

"I feel it's safer not to wear this hat." Wang Bing rolled his eyes, speechless, and called Xu Guang.

"Brother Xu, we've bought all the tools, but the machine isn't working properly again." Wang Bing sat on the ground, fiddling with the cracked safety helmet.

"How could this happen? Didn't you say everything was fine?" Xu Guang asked, puzzled.

“It looks fine on the outside, but it just doesn’t work. Who knows what’s wrong with it?” Wang Bing said, subconsciously breaking off a corner from the crack in his helmet.

"Check inside to see if anything is stuck, and then..." Xu Guang said, and Wang Bing listened, nodding from time to time.

Zhang Lin watched as Wang Bing repeatedly broke off pieces of the cracked safety helmet.

After a ten-minute phone call, Wang Bing finally hung up and stared blankly at the pile of red fragments on the ground.

"One hundred yuan is enough for you to break into tiny pieces. If you keep making that phone call, you won't even have enough for a safety helmet," Zhang Lin said with a laugh.

"I knew something was wrong, I hadn't even noticed it." Wang Bing was a little embarrassed, and got up to check the equipment as Xu Guang had instructed.

Meanwhile, Li Chunlai and two other people were digging a pit in a certain place, inside which were the electric wires they had just cut.

"Brother Feng, tell them to push the switch over there. I'm done here." Li Chunlai tapped the ground with his shovel and sent a WeChat message to Chen Feng.

If you're not particularly familiar with this place, you really wouldn't be able to tell that it's been dug up.

Half an hour later, Wang Bing wiped his oily hands with a rag and shook his head.

"It's not working at all. I don't know what's wrong. It's probably some kind of complicated problem. Could this machine have been faulty since it left the factory?" Wang Bing said, puzzled.

"But it worked perfectly yesterday!" Zhang Lin was equally puzzled. It was truly baffling. Why was the machine malfunctioning when there was nothing wrong with it?

"Forget it, let Brother Xu find a professional repairman." Wang Bing called Brother Xu again.

"Okay, I understand. I'll contact the person right away."

Xu Guang hung up the phone, a serious look in his eyes.

He was absolutely certain that Chen Feng was behind this, but they couldn't figure out where the problem lay.

Chen Feng is capable of such a feat; it seems he must have a master guiding him!

I really underestimated him. I didn't expect him to have such a technically skilled person by his side.

After thinking for a while, he made a phone call and asked the manufacturer to send two repairmen, and to expedite the process.

The manufacturer was stunned. Could such a bizarre thing really happen?

After all, this is a major client, so they didn't delay and immediately sent two engineers by plane to come here.

They waited until almost evening for the engineers to arrive before Xu Guang finally led the two engineers, who were covered in dust from their journey, to the mine.

"Let me see what's going on." The engineer, carrying his bag, began fiddling with the machine.

Xu Guang and his companions stood to the side, all watching intently.

As the engineer examined the area more thoroughly, his eyes grew increasingly incredulous.

"How is that possible? It should have worked perfectly by now."

He had heard about the situation here before he arrived, that someone was deliberately causing trouble. He came full of confidence, as he knew the machine better than his wife.

I thought it would be solved in no time, but I never expected it to be such a difficult problem.

It's incredible that someone could stop the machine from working without causing any damage.

From this perspective, this person's understanding of this machine is simply world-class!

"I'll check it again." The engineer was not giving up and continued to check with his tools, this time even disassembling some parts.

Xu Guang and the others' expressions grew increasingly serious. Wasn't Chen Feng supposed to be just a petty thug? How could he have such a capable person by his side?

"This is a bit tricky," Xu Guang said in a low voice, taking a deep breath.

“Yes, we can’t handle this kind of tactic at all. No matter how many machines we bring, it’s all in vain,” Wang Bing said, also feeling troubled.

"I underestimated you, Chen Feng." Xu Guang lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and said with a hint of melancholy in his eyes.

The assistant that the engineer brought along was always helping the engineer, and in his spare time, he would stroke his chin and stare at the machine in deep thought.

A few minutes later, while the engineer was still bent over disassembling the machine, he couldn't help but ask, "Sir, is there no power? Have you checked the circuit?"

"How could there be no power? Don't give me that bullshit. There are so many people here, do you think they're all idiots? They wouldn't know there's no power?"

"Give me the wrench, I want to check if the hydraulic oil is leaking," the engineer said impatiently.

The assistant handed the wrench to the engineer, who, unwilling to give up, went to the back, looked at the socket, took out a charger from his pocket, and plugged it in.

When he plugged the data cable into the phone, the phone didn't respond at all. He tried again and again, and even used a test pen to poke it several times.

Finally, he realized the truth and, quite speechless, turned around and shouted into the prefab house, "Master, don't dismantle it! There's no electricity here at all!"

Upon hearing this, everyone was stunned. The engineer crawled out from under the machine, his face covered in soot, and stared at his apprentice holding the power strip with disbelief in his eyes.

Xu Guang stared blankly at his apprentice, then turned to look at Wang Bing and Zhang Lin, who both looked completely bewildered.

"No electricity?" Xu Guang asked, his voice filled with astonishment and disbelief.

"No way..." Wang Bing felt a sudden chill and gasped.

So many people spent a whole day inspecting this place, and they even brought in two engineers from the manufacturer, who disassembled the machine and scattered parts all over the floor.

And then you tell me the reason the machine isn't working is because it's not plugged in?!

"There's really no power. I tried it with a test pen, but there's no response." The apprentice directly plugged the test pen into the power strip in front of everyone.

The moment the test pen failed to light up, the engineer's dark face turned bright red. He was furious and stared straight at Xu Guang and the other two!

Are you all fucking idiots? Didn't you know to check if there was electricity first?!
