Chapter 468 You'll be scared to death

He instinctively turned around and saw a female ghost dressed in white with bloodstains on her clothes, disheveled hair, a pale face, and bloodstains on her face, staring at him with dead fish eyes.

"Holy crap!"

Chen Feng was so frightened that he shuddered and shouted, his voice changing drastically. He even dropped the cigarette in his hand and fell off the chair, moving backward on the ground in extreme resistance.

Hahahaha!

"Ha ha ha ha!"

Seeing Chen Feng so frightened, everyone in the room burst into laughter. The female ghost was obviously startled by Chen Feng as well, but then she covered her mouth and giggled.

Hearing the laughter from inside, Chen Feng glared at them and patted his chest in annoyance.

The female ghost was none other than Xia Yingying.

"Big brother, you're the one who came up with the idea, how could you be scared?" Lin Nian laughed so hard he almost passed out.

“Even if someone suddenly stands behind you, you’d be startled, let alone someone dressed like this,” Chen Feng said, taking a deep breath, standing up, and rubbing his backside.

He had bought these clothes for Xia Yingying. He was somewhat prepared, but he was still caught off guard and shuddered.

"Don't even mention you, I'm scared when I look at myself in the mirror," Xia Yingying said, smoothing her hair.

"Damn it, even I was startled, let alone those two. Tonight at one o'clock, I'll go and teach them a lesson." Chen Feng said with a malicious smile.

At midnight, Chen Feng and his group of five or six people stealthily made their way to the mine. To remain hidden, they didn't even turn on their flashlights, relying solely on the faint moonlight to move forward.

Xia Yingying held Chen Feng's hand tightly. It was getting dark, and with things to do later, her heart was pounding.

"Chen Feng, I'm a little scared." Xia Yingying turned to look at Chen Feng and whispered.

"Don't look back at me, I'm scared too." Seeing her wearing this makeup so late at night made Chen Feng's heart pound.

"Won't they be so scared they beat me up later?" Xia Yingying couldn't help but ask.

"No, they're probably scared to death. They wouldn't dare hit you. Besides, I'll be hiding right next to you. If they do anything rash, I'll rush in," Chen Feng said, holding her hand to reassure her.

Upon arriving at the mine, everyone dispersed as planned and hid in a concealed location. Lin Nian took the lead, picking up a pebble and throwing it onto the prefab house.

"Clang, splash..."

Wang Bing and Zhang Lin, who were lying on the ground, suddenly opened their eyes upon hearing the sound and looked at the roof of the prefabricated house.

"What is that thing? It's making a rattling sound," Wang Bing said, frowning.

"I don't know." Zhang Lin looked at the ceiling with a puzzled expression. What could be on there?

"It's probably just the wind blowing it, never mind."

They had patrolled the area several times throughout the night and had only been back for less than half an hour. They planned to take a nap before going back to check if anything was amiss.

Just as they were about to close their eyes, a sound came from the ceiling again, this time more like sand, as if someone was dragging it, and then it made a rustling sound.

"Damn it, what the hell is this? I'll go take a look. You come with me." Wang Bing said, grabbing a flashlight and putting on his shoes.

"Damn, if you're so tough, just go by yourself." Zhang Lin wrapped himself in the blanket, not wanting to move.

"Hurry up, I'm getting creeped out at night too," Wang Bing urged.

Upon hearing this, Zhang Lin sat up, put on his shoes, grabbed a flashlight, and together they opened the door.

After opening the door, all that was in front of him was darkness and emptiness. Wang Bing shone his flashlight around but couldn't see anything.

They walked around the prefab house and, seeing nothing unusual, their anxiety eased slightly.

"I told you, it was just the wind blowing, I was just being paranoid."

Zhang Lin waved his hand and walked over with him. Just before closing the door, Wang Bing looked back and forth carefully.

After confirming that everything was alright, he closed the door and prepared to go back to bed.

After about ten minutes, the rustling sound from the ceiling grew closer, and it even felt like he was dragging his feet.

"Damn it, what is that thing? I feel like there's something on the ceiling," Wang Bing said, feeling a chill run down his spine.

"I don't know, how could there be something on the roof? Could it be a rat?" Zhang Lin was also feeling uneasy.

The footsteps were extremely clear in the darkness. After a few more steps, they finally reached the doorway with a clatter, as if something had fallen down.

Wang Bing and Zhang Lin exchanged a glance, both seeing the other's apprehension.

"Is that thing right at the door?" Wang Bing swallowed and asked.

"Want to take a look?" Zhang Lin said, gripping the flashlight tightly.

"If we don't look, how will we know what's outside?" Wang Bing shook his head repeatedly.

Since he wasn't going out, Zhang Lin naturally wouldn't go out on his own either, so the two of them prepared to lie down.

But with something on your mind, how could you possibly sleep? Wang Bing would look up every now and then, as if afraid that something might suddenly be standing at the door.

Zhang Lin felt the same way. Seeing this, he couldn't help but say, "Why don't we go out and take a look? What could possibly be out there?"

"Then let's open the door together and take a look." Wang Bing swallowed again and gripped the flashlight tightly.

The two of them slowly walked to the door, and to be honest, their hearts were trembling as they gripped the latch.

Finally, they looked at each other, steeled their resolve, and abruptly pulled open the door.

"ah!"

Wang Bing suddenly let out a scream, which startled Zhang Lin so much that his hair stood on end.

"What's wrong? What did you see?" Zhang Lin looked around anxiously.

"No, it scared me to death! I think I saw a shadow moving in the distance."

"People are scary, they can scare you to death!" Zhang Lin almost couldn't help but kick him when he heard this.

"Then why are you so easily startled? Even the shadows of grass can scare you." Zhang Lin peeked around with his flashlight, but there was nothing outside. They were just scaring themselves.

"Let's go to sleep, damn it." Wang Bing took a deep breath and prepared to close the door.

Just as he was about to close the door, he glanced out and noticed something at the doorway. He casually opened the door a little and shone his flashlight on it.

The door, which had been empty just moments before, was now suddenly occupied by a female ghost dressed in a white dress, her clothes stained with blood, and her hair disheveled.

Under the light of only a flashlight, the female ghost appeared even more eerie, and the bloodstains on her face were clearly visible.

The female ghost stared at him with dead fish eyes, then suddenly opened her mouth wide.

"Waaaaaaah!"

At that moment, a terrified scream echoed through the empty mine. The flashlight fell to the ground with a clatter, and the next second, another scream, even louder than his, resounded across the wilderness.

That was the sound of Zhang Lin, who had just turned around and seen this scene.

"Aaaaaaah!"

The two were terrified out of their wits. They took off running to the back of the machine, not even caring that they tripped over the blankets they had fallen on. They scrambled and screamed as they ran to the back of the machine. When they had nowhere else to go, they huddled in a corner, clutching each other's clothes and screaming loudly.
