The "Blackstone Mine" is located on the western border of the kingdom's territory. The environment here is harsh and shrouded in gray dust all year round.
This is the location of the lowest-ranking labor camp in the entire kingdom, where criminals and scum who remain unrepentant and lazy under the new order are imprisoned.
Wang Zhe, Li Hu, and Liu Cuifen were among them.
The former rich kids, school bullies, and stingy landlords have no halos here.
Like thousands of other laborers, they wore grey prison uniforms and worked more than sixteen hours a day in arduous mining labor.
Their food consisted of a synthetic nutritional paste that was difficult to swallow.
Their living quarters are overcrowded dormitories. Any lapse in attention will result in a merciless electric shock from the monitoring robots.
Despair had long since worn away their former arrogance and ferocity.
At this moment, the three of them, covered in mud, were deep in the mine, painstakingly digging through the hard ore with rudimentary tools.
"Damn it! When will this end!" Li Hu cursed as he swung his pickaxe. His once robust body had long been worn down to skin and bones by the heavy labor.
"Shut up!" Wang Zhe leaned weakly against the rock wall, panting. "Haven't you had enough of the electric shocks yet?"
His once handsome face is now covered in dust and scars, and his eyes are cloudy and numb.
"I...I'm so hungry..." Liu Cuifen huddled to the side, her body swollen from malnutrition, her eyes filled with longing for food.
Just then, a rapid alarm sounded. Several royal guards armed with high-energy weapons, led by an officer, entered the mine.
"Number A734, Wang Zhe!"
"Number d129, Li Hu!"
"Number F886, Liu Cuifen!"
The officer's cold voice echoed through the mine.
The three of them trembled, thinking they had made another mistake, and fear appeared on their faces.
"Come with us!" the officer commanded without room for argument.
The three were taken out of the mine and put into a fully enclosed hovercar. They didn't know where they were going or what kind of punishment awaited them.
After several hours of flight, the hovercar finally came to a stop in front of a magnificent palace that they could never have imagined.
They were led into a huge room that resembled a bathroom.
Dozens of maids, expressionless, stepped forward and used high-pressure water guns to wash away the filth from their bodies. Then, they changed them into clean, white prison uniforms.
After all this was done, they were taken to an even more magnificent and suffocating hall.
The dome of the main hall is so high that its top cannot be seen.
The ground was as smooth as a mirror, clearly reflecting their humble figures. All around them were countless rare and precious treasures, whose names they did not know, radiating a soft light.
And at the deepest part of the hall, on the highest and largest throne made of gold and obsidian, a figure was leaning lazily.
He wore a black robe that appeared simple, yet shimmered with a starlight-like glow.
Surrounding him were several stunningly beautiful women, each possessing unparalleled beauty and charm. Some were massaging his shoulders, some were peeling fruit for him, and others were gazing at him with eyes full of infatuation and adoration.
When Wang Zhe, Li Hu, and Liu Cuifen saw this scene, their minds went completely blank.
In their entire lives, they had never seen such a luxurious scene, nor had they ever seen such...oppressive people.
They didn't even dare to look up at the person on the throne; they could only kneel on the cold floor like three pitiful insects, trembling.
“Raise your head.”
A calm voice came from the throne.
The three of them trembled and involuntarily raised their heads slowly.
When they saw the face of the man on the throne, the pupils of the three men instantly contracted to their maximum size!
Their faces showed an expression of disbelief, as if they had seen a ghost!
"Lin...Lin Feng?" Wang Zhe was the first to exclaim in disbelief.
"No...it's impossible!" Li Hu rubbed his eyes hard, thinking he was hallucinating.
"How...how could it be you?!" Liu Cuifen was so frightened that she collapsed to the ground, incoherent.
They simply couldn't believe that the poor kid, the doormat, the outsider they had once bullied and trampled on would actually... become the master of this world.
Will he become the one who sits enthroned, like a god?!
This is more absurd and terrifying than any nightmare!
Seeing their incredibly interesting expressions, Lin Feng's smile deepened.
He slowly rose from the throne, and step by step, walked down the steps to the three people.
He looked down at the three faces filled with horror and fear.
"Long time no see, Young Master Wang." Lin Feng's gaze first fell on Wang Zhe.
Wang Zhe was trembling violently, his teeth chattering.
Lin Feng chuckled softly, reached out, and patted Wang Zhe's cheek. The movement was gentle, yet it felt as if Wang Zhe had been licked by a venomous snake's tongue.
"I remember you used to love throwing money at people." Lin Feng's voice was full of mockery. "Weren't you very rich? Where's your money? Take it out and try throwing it at me again."
Wang Zhe's face instantly turned deathly pale. His money? His family, his wealth, all vanished after the Great Relocation.
He stammered "I...I..." for a long time, but couldn't utter a single word.
Lin Feng's gaze then turned to Li Hu.
"And you, Li the school bully."
Lin Feng's eyes turned cold. "Back then, weren't you very good at fighting? Didn't you say that beating me was an honor?"
He extended a finger and gently tapped Li Hu's forehead.
"Come on, hit me again. Let me see how much of your former glory you still have."
With a "thump," Li Hu knelt down on the ground and kowtowed frantically, his forehead hitting the smooth floor with a dull thud.
"I was wrong! Lin... No! Your Majesty! Your Majesty, I was wrong! I was blind to your greatness back then! I'm not human! I'm just a beast! Please spare me! Please just let me go!"
Tears streamed down his face; he was no longer the fierce school bully he once was.
Finally, Lin Feng's gaze fell on Liu Cuifen, who was so frightened that she was about to faint.
“Landlady Liu,” Lin Feng slowly squatted down to meet her gaze, a devilish smile on his face, “I remember, back then, you loved to call me a ‘outsider’ and tell me to go back to the countryside.”
He paused, his voice becoming incredibly mocking:
"Don't you have a house? Where is your house now? Do you have a house on this alien planet?"
At this moment, Liu Cuifen's psychological defenses completely collapsed. She let out a piercing scream and then began to slap herself frantically.
"I deserve to die! I had a foul mouth! I'm worthless! Your Majesty! I beg you! I'll serve you like a slave! I'll be your dog! Please spare my worthless life!"
Seeing these three once arrogant people now begging for mercy like the most lowly maggots in front of him, Lin Feng felt an extreme, morbid pleasure rise in his heart.
But the smile on his face slowly faded.
"Beg for mercy?" He stood up, his voice turning icy cold. "What's the use of begging for mercy?"
The three people's cries abruptly ceased. They stared at Lin Feng in horror, and in his calm, unwavering eyes, they saw something more terrifying than death—indifference.
"Do you know?" Lin Feng slowly paced back and forth, his voice echoing in the hall: "While you are kneeling here begging for mercy, outside, millions of people are worshipping me."
"Do you think your pleas for mercy mean anything to me?"
The three of them looked ashen-faced, completely plunged into despair.
"Your Majesty! We know we were wrong! We really know we were wrong!"
Wang Zhe was still making a last-ditch effort: "The law! Yes! The law! We...we are guilty, but we should be judged by the law! You can't...you can't dispose of us on your own!"
He wanted to use the world's new laws to try and save his own life.
However, all he received in return was a sneer from Lin Feng.
"law?"
Lin Feng felt as if he had heard the funniest joke in the world.
He slowly walked back to the throne, sat down again, and looked at Wang Zhe with an expression as if he were looking at an idiot.
"Now I am the king."
"If I say you've broken the law, then you've broken the law."
“If I say it’s a capital offense, then it is a capital offense.”
His voice, though not loud, was like the final judgment of a god. Every word struck the hearts of the three men heavily, shattering their last glimmer of hope!
"No...no..."
"Spare me!"
Amid the three people's terrified and desperate screams, Lin Feng gently waved his hand.
"Drag it down."
“Let them go back to where they belong.”
“Tell the mine manager that these three people are ‘key targets.’ I don’t want to see them die before they are completely unable to work.”
"Yes, Your Majesty."
Two royal guards, as tall as iron towers, immediately stepped forward and dragged the three, Wang Zhe, Li Hu, and Liu Cuifen, who were already limp as mud, out of the main hall like dead dogs.
What awaits them is an abyss of despair, more terrifying than death itself, an endless cycle of labor and death.
Silence returned to the main hall.
It was as if that little farce had never happened.
"Your Majesty, are you feeling better?" Qian Xiaoxiao snuggled into Lin Feng's arms, rubbing her soft body against his arm, and asked in a sweet voice.
"It's just some boring pastime." Lin Feng's face regained its calm and indifferent expression.
