Chapter 21 Textbook-Level Hunting

After spending a few days together, Lin Feng felt that Wangcai was becoming more and more obedient, and was no different from a family dog.

So he decided to take Wangcai hunting.

"Let's go, Wangcai! Today I'll take you out for a treat and let me see what you're capable of!" Lin Feng patted Wangcai's head, full of heroic spirit.

One man and one wolf, or rather, one man and one dog, marched in a grand procession into the depths of the forest.

Although Wangcai had been chained up for a few days, his wild nature remained. Once inside the forest, he was like a dragon entering the sea, agile and running like the wind.

Its nose kept sniffing the ground and grass, occasionally letting out a low warning or an excited growl when it spotted prey.

Lin Feng followed behind it, stone axe in hand, eyes blazing. He nodded inwardly, thinking, "This Wangcai is indeed a born hunter!"

After crossing a mountain ridge and passing through a dense thicket, Wangcai suddenly stopped, lowered its forelegs, let out a low growl, and stared intently at a wide meadow ahead.

Lin Feng followed its gaze and his eyes lit up instantly, filled with joy!

On the meadow, a large group of black creatures, about the size of calves, suddenly appeared.

They were covered in long, glossy black wool and had thick, curved horns on their heads. They were leisurely grazing on the withered grass that was not yet completely covered by ice and snow—they were clearly a flock of giant black-haired sheep!

"Good job, Wangcai! Well done! We're going to have a great harvest today!"

Lin Feng lowered his voice and excitedly patted Wangcai's neck.

Just as Lin Feng was preparing to plan a perfect hunting raid with Wangcai, he caught a glimpse of several familiar figures sneaking out from the other side of the meadow.

Those six women again!

At this moment, they are completely different from the glamorous urban goddesses they were when Lin Feng first met them.

Although they were no longer as pale and thin as before, and the swelling had subsided considerably, indicating that they had found some food to eat during this time, they were still dressed in rags and looked haggard.

Each of them carried some crudely made weapons—some were sharpened wooden sticks, others were slightly sharpened stone shards—and they were cautiously trying to approach the herd of black-haired giant sheep.

However, their hunting skills were truly... appalling.

Their footsteps were chaotic, and their attempts to conceal themselves were full of mistakes. Before they could even get within a hundred meters of the flock, the highly vigilant black-haired giant sheep raised their heads and bleated uneasily, clearly sensing the danger.

"Sigh, a bunch of stupid women," Lin Feng thought disdainfully to himself.

Sure enough, before the women could get any closer, the flock of black-haired giant sheep scattered like startled birds and vanished in the blink of an eye.

The women beat their chests and stamped their feet, their faces filled with disappointment and despair.

They chased after them for a long time and finally found this group of fat sheep, but they didn't get a single wool from them.

"What should we do? We failed again..." a young girl said, her voice trembling with tears, the wooden stick in her hand hanging limply.

"It's all our fault for being so stupid..." Tang Bao stomped her foot in frustration.

Su Wanqing's face was even paler, and as she looked at the empty meadow, a deep sense of helplessness flashed in her eyes.

They tried very hard, learning to identify plants, make simple tools, and track prey, but most of their hopeful hunts ended in failure.

This cruel, primitive world was far too unfriendly to these women who had once lived in luxury.

Just as they were in despair and at a loss, a loud and wild wolf howl suddenly rang out from the other side of the meadow!

"Awoo!"

Immediately afterwards, a black lightning bolt—Wangcai—burst out of the forest like an arrow, rushing straight towards a plump, black-furred giant sheep that had become slightly separated from its predicament due to panic!

At the same time, Lin Feng's tall and imposing figure charged out like a tiger descending a mountain.

Instead of chasing the flock directly, he used his judgment of the terrain and his amazing speed to circle around to the front of the lone giant sheep that might have fled, blocking its path!

A textbook hunt suddenly unfolded before the women's astonished eyes!

Wangcai was extremely fast and had sharp fangs. Instead of recklessly pouncing on the giant sheep's vitals, it used its agile movements to harass and bite the sheep's hind legs and sides, forcing it to change direction and drive it toward the encirclement set up by Lin Feng.

Although the black-furred giant sheep was large and strong, it appeared clumsy in front of Wangcai, the cunning and fierce horned wolf. Several times it tried to butt with its horns, but Wangcai nimbly dodged each attempt.

Soon, under Wangcai's precise control, the panicked black-furred giant sheep crashed headfirst into Lin Feng's "ambush"!

"You beast, where do you think you're going!"

With a roar, Lin Feng, who had been ready to strike, wielded his obsidian axe with deadly force, slicing through the air with deadly light and cleaving precisely at the giant ram's thick neck!

"Pfft!"

Blood gushed out like a fountain!

The enormous, black-haired ram didn't even have time to utter a cry before its massive body crashed to the ground, its limbs twitched a few times, and then it fell completely silent.

The entire hunting process, from Wangcai launching a surprise attack to Lin Feng's fatal blow, took only a few dozen seconds!

Clean and efficient, their teamwork was so seamless, it was as if they had rehearsed it a thousand times!

Lin Feng flicked the blood off his stone axe, glanced with satisfaction at the fat sheep at his feet that weighed at least two hundred pounds, and then patted the head of Wangcai, who had run up to him and was excitedly sticking out its tongue to show its appreciation: "Well done, Wangcai! You'll get an extra meal today!"

Wangcai barked proudly twice and rubbed its head against Lin Feng.

The six women on the other side were already dumbfounded, as if petrified.

They simply couldn't believe their eyes!

This man, and his animal that looked like a wolf and a dog, so easily hunted down a giant black sheep that they couldn't even get close to!

The bloody yet efficient hunting scene was incredibly shocking to them.

Lin Feng ignored the women's stares. He bent down, grabbed one of the legs of the heavy, black-haired giant sheep, and carried it on his shoulder as easily as if it were a chick. He then turned to leave.

"Wait...wait a minute!"

Just then, Qin Lan suddenly mustered her courage and, with the other five women, quickly ran over and blocked Lin Feng's path.

Lin Feng frowned, stopped, and looked at them coldly.

"This...brother..."

Qin Lan swallowed hard, forcing a fawning and humble smile. She pointed to the fat sheep on Lin Feng's shoulder and pleaded in a trembling voice, "This...this sheep, could...could we have some? We...we haven't had any decent meat for days..."

The other women also looked at Lin Feng with expectant and pitiful eyes. They were really starving, and the mutton was an irresistible temptation for them.

Upon hearing this, Lin Feng's lips curled into a mocking smile, and he said coldly, "If you're so capable, catch it yourself. Don't always think about picking up what's readily available."

These words were like a bucket of ice water poured over the women's heads in the dead of winter.

Their smiles froze instantly, replaced by shame, indignation, and anger.

"you!"

Tangbao has a fiery temper and was about to lash out.

What were their statuses before? They were all goddesses, surrounded by men wherever they went. Whatever they wanted to eat or drink, they only needed a glance and countless "simps" would rush to offer it to them.

She had never suffered such humiliation. Now, in front of this man, they had to beg for food in such a humble way, and were so heartlessly rejected!

Qin Lan quickly pulled Tang Bao back and forced a smile at Lin Feng, saying, "Big brother, we...we really have no choice. We're not strong enough, and we don't have a partner as powerful as you..."

She glanced at Wangcai, who was baring his teeth and emitting a threatening growl, and felt a chill run down her spine.

Just then, Su Wanqing, who had been silent all along, suddenly spoke up.

Her voice was a little hoarse, but carried an inexplicable calmness: "What did we do to make you so... angry? Or rather, so disgusted with us?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Feng shook his head, his gaze sweeping over Su Wanqing's face, which, though covered in dust, still revealed its delicate features, and said calmly, "You didn't do anything."

"Then why are you so cold to us? Even... brutal?"

Su Wanqing pressed for an answer. She couldn't understand why this man, who clearly had the ability to help them, even just a little, was so heartless.

Lin Feng looked at them coldly, as if they were a group of unrelated strangers: "You've probably misunderstood something. We don't know each other, and there's no enmity between us. Maintaining this relationship is fine."

His fierce gaze, as if it were tangible, swept across the faces of every woman, sending a chill down their spines.

Lin Feng spoke slowly and deliberately, his voice not loud, but carrying an undeniable sense of oppression: "With my strength, if I really wanted to do something to you, or oppress you, do you think you could resist? But I have never thought of doing that, nor have I ever done it."

He paused, his tone growing even colder: "Isn't it better if we just maintain this relationship of never seeing each other again? I don't need women, and I don't want to be disturbed by anyone. I just want to live a quiet life alone. Why do you keep bothering me?"

His sharp gaze, like a knife, swept across the women's pale faces: "Think carefully, from beginning to end, have I ever taken the initiative to bully you even once? The way you are in now, starving and poorly clothed, isn't it because of your own incompetence?"

"But...but we are women! We don't have your strength! Nor do we have your weapons and...and that dog!"

Qian Xiaoxiao finally couldn't hold back and cried out, her voice filled with grievance and resentment.

"What does that have to do with me?"

Lin Feng interrupted her mercilessly, his tone as cold as ice: "You are women, you are weak, that's your problem, is it my fault? This world is cruel, the strong prey on the weak, only the fittest survive. If you want to live, you have to fight for it yourselves, not rely on other people's charity and pity."

He gave them one last cold glance, his voice full of warning: "Don't bother me again, or you'll regret it!"

After saying that, he ignored the women whose expressions were constantly changing—angry, aggrieved, or desperate. He shouldered the giant black sheep on his shoulder, and with the swaggering Wangcai by his side, he strode away from the grassland, leaving behind only a cold and resolute back view.

Su Wanqing and the others stood there blankly. The cold wind blew, stirring up the withered grass on the ground, messing up their hair, and chilling their hearts.

Lin Feng's words, though cruel, were like a sharp knife, cutting open the reality they had always been unwilling to face.

In this strange and perilous world, no one will help them for no reason.

Tears and weakness won't earn you sympathy, nor will they buy you the supplies needed for survival. To live, you must rely on yourself, become stronger, and more ruthless!

However, this path is far too difficult for these former "goddesses".
