It was three days later when Tulai and his delegation were thrown back to their camp by Imperial soldiers like dead dogs.
When they woke up, they were all somewhat mentally unstable. The young deputy envoy was completely insane, constantly muttering "devil...he's a devil..."
Despite his utterly destroyed spirit, Tulai, carrying Lin Feng's "divine decree" that felt like divine punishment, scrambled back to the capital.
When he relayed Lin Feng's exact words to Kang Mazi, the entire Qianqing Palace fell into a deathly silence.
All the ministers stood frozen in place, as if under a spell, their faces filled with extreme fear and disbelief.
Leave no one alive?
A complete liquidation?
This is no longer a war, this is... extermination!
"You bastard!"
A furious roar shattered the silence.
Kang Mazi suddenly kicked over the dragon table in front of him. His thin face was twisted and became ferocious due to extreme anger.
"This is outrageous! This is outrageous!!" He pointed south and roared hysterically, "I am the Son of Heaven! I am ordained by Heaven! How dare such a demon utter such nonsense here!"
"He wants war! I'll let him fight!"
"He wants to destroy my Great Qing! I will show him just how sharp the swords of my Eight Banners soldiers really are!"
Kang Mazi's dignity was utterly and brutally trampled underfoot and crushed to pieces by Lin Feng's words. At this moment, fear had been replaced by boundless rage.
He intends to personally lead the army!
He wanted to use all the troops in the world to fight against that so-called "god" and to defend his last shred of pitiful dignity as emperor.
"Issue my decree!" Kang Youwei roared hoarsely, his eyes bloodshot. "Order the Nine Gates Commander to seal off the capital! All princes and ministers, follow me on this expedition! Order all governors and viceroys across the land to raise troops to defend the emperor! I will gather a million mighty soldiers of the Great Qing to fight that demon to the death!"
"Your Majesty! Please reconsider!"
"No, Your Majesty! This is like throwing an egg against a rock!"
His Highness's ministers finally snapped out of their fear and knelt down, crying and pleading, trying to dissuade Kang Mazi from his madness.
But it was too late.
Completely enraged, Kang Mazi refused to listen to any advice.
An operation that the Holy Star Empire considered not even a "war," but rather a "unilateral cleanup," began under the Qing emperor's willful insistence.
Half a month later, in the heart of the Qing Dynasty, on the Central Plains.
A massive army, claiming to number one but actually composed of 300,000 main force Eight Banner troops and 700,000 temporarily conscripted Green Standard Army soldiers and local militia, assembled here.
Banners blotted out the sun, and swords and spears formed a forest.
Kang Mazi, clad in golden chainmail, rode a magnificent imperial horse, surrounded by countless princes, nobles, and high-ranking generals.
Looking at the army that stretched as far as the eye could see before him, the cracks in his heart caused by fear were filled again with a false sense of confidence.
"Fellow soldiers!" He drew his imperial sword from his waist, pointed it south, and roared hoarsely, "Southern demons, you have insulted my sovereign and father, and seek to destroy my state! This is a crisis of national subjugation and annihilation! Today, I will live and die with you! Follow me... and kill!"
"Kill! Kill! Kill!"
The million-strong army roared with earth-shattering fury. The sheer force of their roar seemed capable of shattering the clouds in the sky.
However, at this very moment when their morale was at its peak...
The sky darkened.
It's not that the sun is obscured by dark clouds.
Instead, a colossal, indescribably black, steel structure, resembling an inverted mountain, slowly descended from the clouds.
The Holy Star Empire, flagship star destroyer – the "First Emperor".
It hovered silently ten thousand meters above the ground, its streamlined armor reflecting a cold, deadly gleam in the sunlight. Its shadow completely enveloped Kang Mazi's million-strong army.
The Qing army, which had been so imposing just moments before, fell into a deathly silence.
All the soldiers looked up, mouths agape, staring blankly at the "monster" in the sky that was beyond their comprehension.
That primal fear, welling up from the depths of their souls, made even the hands holding knives and guns tremble uncontrollably.
"What...what is that..." The color drained from Kang Mazi's face in an instant.
His companion, Songgotu, fell directly off his horse, soiling himself and muttering repeatedly, "The sky... the sky has fallen... the sky has fallen..."
On the bridge of the "First Emperor" ship.
Lin Feng casually sat in a commander's chair, looking down through the huge holographic porthole at the Qing army below, which looked like ants.
Beside him stood Imperial Marshal Qin Lan and Demon General Lilith.
"Your Majesty," Qin Lan asked expressionlessly, "Should we initiate the 'purification' procedure?"
"No rush." A cruel smile curled at the corner of Lin Feng's lips. "Before executing them, let them... experience what 'despair' truly means."
He extended a finger and lightly swiped it across the control panel in front of him.
"Order: 'Cataclysmic' drone swarm, deploy. Target: all enemy cavalry units."
"Order: Second and Third Mech Divisions, orbital airdrop. Target: Enemy central command camp."
"Order, Demon Legion... You may begin your meal."
As he issued one cold command after another.
The lower armor plate of the "First Emperor" slowly slid open, revealing tens of thousands of densely packed honeycomb-like launch ports.
The next second, tens of millions of "Disaster" drones, each only the size of a palm and entirely black, roared out like a black flood bursting its banks, trailing blue plasma tail flames!
Their target was the Qing army's proud Eight Banners cavalry.
Before the Manchu and Mongol cavalrymen who were preparing to charge could react, they were engulfed by this black "cloud of insects".
The front of the "Natural Disaster" drone is equipped with ultra-high frequency vibrating particle blades. Like the most terrifying swarm of piranhas, they instantly tore the cavalrymen and their warhorses, along with their armor, into the smallest pieces of flesh and blood.
The screams lasted less than a second before being drowned out by the sickening buzzing of the drone.
In just a dozen seconds, the 100,000-strong Qing cavalry on both flanks were completely wiped out from the plain. All that remained was a patch of dark red earth soaked in blood, mixed with bones and metal fragments.
Immediately afterwards, hundreds of enormous fireballs with long trails of flame appeared in the sky.
That was the drop pod of the Empire's "Tyrant" class heavy mech.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Hundreds of airdrop pods, like meteorites, crashed precisely into the Qing army's central camp. The immense impact instantly turned all the soldiers within a hundred-meter radius into mincemeat.
The hatch opened, and a series of steel demons, each twenty meters tall and wielding chainsaw swords and Vulcan cannons, emerged.
"Fire."
A cold command rang out in the mech's communication channel.
Da da da da da!!
The muzzle of the Vulcan cannon spewed out destructive flames. Depleted uranium armor-piercing rounds, thicker than an arm, formed deadly metal storms, instantly tearing hundreds of huge gaps in the Qing army's formation of flesh and blood.
The Qing army's arrows struck the mech's armor, leaving not even a white mark. Their cannons fired shells that couldn't even shake the mech's energy shield.
This was a... massacre.
A massacre of infants by adults, with no suspense whatsoever.
Behind the Qing army, at the edge of the land, a black tide appeared.
That was Lilith's demon army.
Endless streams of demons, dinosaurs, and abyssal guards charged forward with maddening strides and terrifying roars capable of driving any normal creature to madness.
They don't need weapons; their claws and teeth are the sharpest weapons.
The Qing army's lines collapsed instantly under the triple attack of the mecha legion, the drone swarm, and the demon legion.
The so-called million-strong army turned into a million lambs to the slaughter.
The soldiers threw down their weapons, crying and screaming as they scattered and fled. But where could they possibly escape to?
There are "natural disaster" drones in the sky.
On the front, there is a steel mecha demon.
Behind it all, a thirsty demon lurks.
The entire Central Plains was transformed into a massive, bloody slaughterhouse with no way out.
Kang Mazi sat blankly on the imperial horse, staring at the hellish scene before him; his mind had completely stopped thinking.
He saw his princes and ministers being torn in two by the Deinonychus.
He saw his most elite royal guards being trampled into mincemeat under the feet of the mechs.
He saw his proud empire being utterly destroyed by a group of "monsters" he couldn't understand, in a way he couldn't comprehend.
"Why...why did this happen..." he murmured to himself, tears of blood streaming from his eyes.
Just then, a huge shadow loomed over him.
He looked up and saw a "Tyrant" mech looking down at him with its huge head that flashed red electronic eyes.
A cold, slightly mocking voice came from the mecha's loudspeaker.
"Indigenous Emperor, Kangma-zi. By order of His Majesty Lin Feng, Emperor of the Holy Star Empire... you are under arrest."
The mecha extended its enormous mechanical arm and, as if grabbing a chick, lifted Kang Mazi along with his imperial horse.
In his final moments before being arrested, Kang Mazi heard the most desperate cries of his people, echoing throughout the heavens and earth.
The war ended within an hour of its commencement.
Kang Mazi was imprisoned in the lowest level of the "First Emperor" ship, in a prison specifically used to hold "rare biological samples".
He was stripped of his dragon robe, his ridiculous braid was shaved off, and he was locked in a transparent energy cage like an animal.
Lin Feng came up to him.
"You...you devil!" Kang Mazi roared with his last breath as he looked at the man who had decided the fate of him and his country.
Lin Feng smiled.
"Devil? No." He shook his head, his golden eyes filled with divine compassion. "I am your end. I have come to correct the error of 'history,' God."
He ignored Kang Mazi's roar.
He turned around and gave Qin Lan the final order.
"Reveal my decree."
“To completely ‘format’ this continent.”
“All nobles who still wear queues shall be removed. As for the common people who were forced to shave their heads, their clothing shall be restored.”
"I will establish a new frontier region on this land, one that belongs entirely to the Empire. Here, there will be no trace of that so-called 'Great Qing.' It will be as if... they never existed."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
The Empire's ground forces, like the most efficient cleaners, began a carpet-like "sweep" across the continent.
They would use gene scanners to scan every living organism. Anyone whose gene sequence contained the "money-tailed aristocrat" trait, regardless of gender or age, would be...purified on the spot.
The city was wiped off the map by antimatter bombs.
The palace was razed to the ground by laser cannons.
The so-called Forbidden City was destroyed by the imperial engineering forces; not a single intact tile remained.
Those princesses and wives who were once high and mighty, and those Manchu bannermen who once lived in luxury, ended up in a fate more miserable than that of the lowest slaves.
The empire was too lazy to even enslave them.
In Lin Feng's view, their genes are a form of pollution.
For the next month, the entire New World echoed with desperate cries.
But soon, even the wailing stopped.
Instead, the deafening, cold roar of Imperial construction machinery filled the air.
After the last of the Eight Banners was "purified".
The voice of the AI "Pangu" rang in Lin Feng's ears.
"Your Majesty, the 'formatting' process is complete. The new continent has been named 'Third Frontier Zone'. Please issue your next instructions."
Lin Feng stood on the bridge of the "First Emperor" ship, looking down at the brand-new land that was being transformed into a standardized imperial farm and mining area, his face expressionless.
To him, it was nothing more than... casually swatting a buzzing, slightly annoying fly.
