Chapter 28 I Don’t Want to Know Anything

Chapter 28 I Don’t Want to Know Anything

I refused to think about it anymore. I didn't care that he had cheated on others in the past. Who knew what happened before? Maybe he was the one who was cheated on.

After hanging up the phone, he walked towards me with a smile as if nothing had happened, his eyes still gentle, "Are you tired from walking? Let's go get something to eat?"

I pretended I knew nothing.

I tried to comfort myself, thinking that as long as I didn't have a wife, what did it matter if I got married again? What did it matter if I had a daughter?

I'm just in a relationship now, no need to think too far ahead. It's still too early for me to become a stepmother.

He saw my smile was stiff and knew I heard something, but he was not sure how much.

He sighed softly, "If you want to ask, just ask."

"No, I don't want to know anything." I blurted out, thinking to myself, "Please don't ask me if I am willing to be a mother to his daughter."

As soon as the words came out, we both fell silent. He still held my hand and the atmosphere was a little awkward for a moment.

This feeling made me feel depressed. I wanted to pretend that nothing had happened, so I shook his arm in a coquettish manner and said, "I'm hungry, and my feet hurt from walking..."

He was obviously relieved and said lovingly, "Come up, I'll carry you to the car, and you can order whatever you want for lunch."

I lay on his back without any hesitation. This real intimacy made me feel at ease.

More importantly, he couldn't see my expression. My facial expression management clearly needed improvement, and my emotions were all written on my face.

I leaned my head against his neck and asked in a sweet voice, "I want to eat seafood, the freshest and most expensive kind."

"Okay, you can eat whatever you want." His tone was like coaxing a willful child.

"I also want to buy a necklace, you promised me." I continued to make willful requests.

It seems like this is a way to prove that I am special in his heart.

"Okay, I'll take you shopping after dinner. Which brand do you like?" He still coaxed me softly.

How would I know what brand to choose if I never wear jewelry?

I only knew that the frustration in my heart needed to be vented in some way. I was like an unreasonable child, "I don't know, anyway, I want the best and the most beautiful one." But my tone sounded extremely aggrieved.

He obviously understood what was going on with me and patiently comforted me, "Little Princess, please bear with me for a while today. Let's go to Cartier and pick out the most beautiful one, okay? The best ones can only be found at auctions. Next time, I'll take you to the auction and buy the best."

His patience made me feel much better, but I still insisted, pouting and acting like a spoiled child. "You idiot king, count it yourself. How many things have you promised in two days?"

"Really? What did I promise you?" There was a smile in his voice.

"You want to deny your debt? Humph, I have a good memory and remember it all. No, I have to find a notebook to write it down later." I started to be possessed by the evil concubine who brought disaster to the country again.

"Then calculate how many things I promised you?"

"A diamond necklace, the world's largest Disney, your island, riding your horse, playing with your guns in Country M, and now the necklace at the auction." I counted on my fingers.

"Is that all? Well, as long as you remember, I will definitely keep my promise."

"But your promise will take up a lot of my vacation time, and it may take a long time." I said this deliberately.

"Yes, then I should make more promises to you, contract out countless vacations for you, and it will take many, many years to fulfill them all."
