After Friday's exams, everyone seemed relieved, but little did they know that this was the beginning of another kind of ordeal.
Fortunately, there is an exceptionally long National Day holiday in the middle.
As the sun sets, the world is bathed in a warm orange glow.
Ren Yi stepped forward and caught up with a man and a woman not far away. He patted Chen Wenzhi on the shoulder with a big smile and begged him to accompany him to find the teacher to check the answers.
A grown man, in a sweet, coquettish voice, climbed onto his left arm and said, "Brother Wenzhi~ please come with me~"
His once radiant phoenix eyes suddenly lost their luster. Chen Wenzhi stopped in his tracks, remained silent for a moment, and then slowly uttered a single word: "Get lost."
Ying Qian watched the scene unfold from the sidelines, finding it all quite amusing.
"Ying Qian! Are you going or not?" Ren Yi instantly let go of her hand, turned around, and floated to Ying Qian's side like a ghost. "I know! You must really want to know the answer, right?"
Seeing that he was determined to cling to Ying Qian, Chen Wenzhi raised his hand and slowly pried Ren Yi's fingers apart, "Ren Yi, how old are you? Can't you go by yourself?"
"It's like needing a meal partner to eat with! And needing a toilet partner to go to the toilet!" Ren Yi was on the verge of tears. "If I go to ask for the answer by myself, I'll be the only one who gets whipped on the spot!"
His reasons are sound and true.
But Chen Wenzhi didn't buy into that. He never took the initiative to find out the answer; for him, it was no longer necessary.
For Ying Qian, perhaps it was simply because she wasn't familiar with the teacher, she politely declined.
Hey—you two!
Chen Wenzhi had already pried Ren Yi's hand off her arm, and the two walked out of the school gate together.
Ren Yi was left alone, bewildered in the wind.
Suddenly, a soft voice sounded in my ear, "Ren Yi, let's go together."
Shen Yun recognized the voice and her eyes lit up. She hugged the little Shen Yun tightly: "Shen Yun, I knew it was you..."
Shen Yun blushed, lowered her eyes, and pushed his chest.
It's useless.
Ren Yi wished he could carry her to his office.
"Ren Yi!" Shen Yun was a little annoyed, and no matter how hard she tried to push him away, she couldn't get rid of his burning chest. "I can't breathe right now..."
"Oh, oh."
Only then did he stupidly let go.
Shen Yun took a deep breath and tapped his forehead on tiptoe in a reproachful manner.
"And this is still at school. Look at Sister Yingqian and the others, they would never do anything so outrageous at school... What if they get caught..." Shen Yun muttered to himself.
Ren Yi didn't care at all.
"So what if you get caught? What will happen?" He bent down to meet her gaze, his smile as devilish as a demon.
Knowing full well that he can control everything, why would you say such a thing? Isn't it just to provoke him?
"..." A muffled, angry voice, then a coquettish tone, "Annoying..."
Ren Yi laughed even harder.

Living on the first floor was for convenience, but Chen Wenzhi still has to take the elevator every day.
"Why do you insist on coming upstairs with me—" Ying Qian said, poking his soft cheek. "You're unhappy if you can't see me come home?"
Chen Wenzhi turned his pupils in other directions, refusing to look at her.
The spot where she had touched him was flushed red. He turned his head and said, "I'm exercising."
"Using the elevator for exercise?"
Ying Qian laughed heartily, so hard she couldn't stand up straight.
Laughter echoed in the corridor.
Chen Wenzhi couldn't help but laugh out loud, his smile filling his eyes and brows, a hint of tenderness in his gaze. He reluctantly admitted, "Okay, I admit it, I wanted to take you home!"
"Just say it." She raised her eyebrows and whispered three words: "I do."
Chen Wenzhi's mind went blank for a moment, his eyes flickered, and a slight smile curved his lips. In his heart, he silently responded: I'm willing too.
He just couldn't say it out loud, afraid that she would think he was being too deliberate.
"Has Aunt Zhao finished get off work?"
The topic changed so quickly that Chen Wenzhi paused for a moment before answering, "She's working overtime today, probably because she has a lot of things to do at the company."
"Okay." Ying Qian took out her keys and opened the door.
He's leaving.
It's like this every day; as soon as she comes in, he leaves.
"Have a seat." She pushed open the door and walked inside.
"...No."
"Can you explain a problem to me?" Ying Qian turned around, her smile shining in her eyes.
Chen Wenzhi awkwardly adjusted his glasses, lowered his head, and said, "Okay."
"Why are you so shy today, Chen Wenzhi?" A slender fingertip scratched his neck, asking quite bluntly.
His neck turned red, and he instinctively avoided her touch.
"Explain the problem," he said seriously. His heart pounded like thunder.
Ying Qian chuckled to herself. Chen Wenzhi was so easily teased; he blushed so easily. How innocent he was!
The study was spacious, with all the windows open, and the room was filled with the fragrance of flowers.
It's the flowers that Zhao Yaya planted downstairs.
Chen Wenzhi hung his schoolbag on the back of the chair, and Ying Qian took two workbooks and threw the schoolbag directly onto the beanbag sofa.
The space was large, but Ying Qian insisted on sharing a chair with Chen Wenzhi. When her body touched him intentionally or unintentionally, his Adam's apple bobbed a few times, his eyes were dark and unfathomable, and his bent knuckles clearly showed that he was suppressing something.
Soon, a thin layer of sweat appeared on his forehead.
His lips were dry, and he spoke while opening and closing them, like a perpetual motion machine.
Ying Qian's mind wasn't on the question. Her long eyelashes fluttered, and her gaze fell squarely on his forehead. She raised her hand and wiped it away with the back of her hand. Her hand was warm, and when she placed it on his cold forehead, it felt like a clash of ice and fire.
How could he not know? This time he suddenly found himself at a disadvantage... He didn't expect to be able to turn the tide; he greedily hoped that Ying Qian would stay like this forever.
