Chapter Seventeen: Come with Me



He was truly unwilling to accept defeat! He was only four points short! He missed out on first place!

"Wei Ji! It can't be that bad!" Ying Qian complained, not wanting to lose a friend. "So what if I took first place from you? I'll give it back next time!"

The person in the front row asked, frustrated, "How do we pay it back?"

"I'll control my Chinese score a bit," she said easily. "It's just a matter of writing one less multiple-choice question or one less fill-in-the-blank question."

Ying Qian stared into Chen Wenzhi's calm eyes, still puzzled.

"Wei Ji has always been bad at Chinese since he was a child. It is said that only Teacher Cheng did not give up on him." He explained that he had only heard this by chance and its authenticity could not be verified.

Ying Qian smiled knowingly, but her exclamation wasn't about that; rather, she said, "Chen Wenzhi, so you can gossip too!"

Her voice was melodious, like a glass of pure fruit juice. Those who liked it would love it, while those who didn't wouldn't even glance at it.

"..." He silently pushed away Ying Qian's face, which was pressed against his desk.

"I won't need to wipe my table with wet wipes anymore."

"?"

“Your face is good enough to be used as a rag!” he said, emphasizing each word.
