Xiao Ning gently shook Bai Ziyun's shoulders. Time passed minute by minute. Finally, after a long while, Bai Ziyun's tightly closed eyes trembled slightly, and then slowly opened his eyes. His eyes were confused and blurred, and he muttered to himself:
"Head... I feel dizzy! What on earth is going on with me?"
Seeing Bai Ziyun wake up, Xiao Ning's heart finally settled down. He let out a long sigh and said:
"Senior Bai, judging from the current situation, it seems that we have accidentally fallen into a mysterious cave." After saying that, Xiao Ning began to look around and explained the surrounding situation in detail to Bai Ziyun.
Bai Ziyun first looked at Xiao Ning in a trance, then calmed himself down, and after a moment of silence, he struggled to break free from Xiao Ning's warm embrace.
Seeing this, Xiao Ning couldn't help but scratch his head in embarrassment, thinking to himself: Oh, it's been a long time since I hugged Master like this. I didn't expect that this time I would have such a wonderful feeling that made me want more.
The two of them brushed off the dust on their bodies, tidied themselves up a bit, and then focused their attention on observing the surrounding environment.
They looked up and found that the hole where they had fallen had been covered tightly by some unknown object at some point; however, what was strange was that despite this, the cave did not appear dark, but instead seemed as if there were faint lights shining in from all directions. Because of this, the two could clearly see each other's faces and figures.
Bai Ziyun walked slowly to the wall, his steps were so slow as if he was afraid of disturbing something. He squinted his eyes slightly, got close to the wall, and carefully observed every detail. Then, he stretched out his right hand and gently stroked the surface of the stone wall, feeling its texture and veins. He murmured to himself: "The stone wall here is definitely not formed naturally, it is clearly excavated by someone deliberately!"
Hearing Bai Ziyun's words, Xiao Ning, who was standing nearby, hurried forward and asked anxiously, "Does that mean we might be able to find a way to leave this place?"
Bai Ziyun nodded and answered firmly: "Since it was built by humans, there must be an exit." Xiao Ning heard this, a glimmer of hope flashed in his eyes, and he nodded repeatedly in agreement. Then, the two of them began to look for an exit in this vast cave without hesitation.
The space in the cave was unusually wide, even enough for them to run back and forth freely. Xiao Ning was looking for the exit, while secretly wondering in his heart, what kind of person would choose to build such a huge space in the depths of this dense forest? Just as he was thinking, suddenly, he seemed to step on something under his feet, and heard a slight "creaking" sound.
Xiao Ning's heart tightened, and he quickly stopped and squatted down to check. He saw a blazing flame in his hand. With the help of the flame, he carefully looked at the object he had just stepped on. However, when he saw it clearly, he couldn't help but gasp - it turned out that what he picked up was actually a bone!
Xiao Ning suppressed his fear and took the bone in front of him, observing it more carefully. At this moment, a terrifying scene happened. The black spots on the bone seemed to come alive and began to slowly wriggle. These spots were densely packed all over the bone, looking extremely weird and horrifying.
He was so scared that he threw the bone away, and only heard a crisp sound. Bai Ziyun hurried forward to his side and asked softly: "What's wrong? What did you find?"
Xiao Ning stared at Bai Ziyun's pretty face and replied in a low voice: "I...I found some bones, and it seems that something is moving on them."
Bai Ziyun couldn't help but smile when she heard his words. She consoled him, "It should be some kind of bug. Don't worry."
However, Xiao Ning was still a little uneasy. He stared at the cave, feeling that it seemed to hide more secrets. He calmed down, took a deep breath, then stood up and continued to look for clues.
Finally, after some effort, the two made some discoveries. Xiao Ning noticed some uneven carvings on a wall, and he hurriedly called out to Bai Ziyun: "Senior Bai! I found something here!"
Bai Ziyun rushed over upon hearing the noise, and her eyes were immediately attracted by the very conspicuous patterns on the wall. She walked closer and observed carefully, frowning slightly.
"Senior Bai, you are knowledgeable. Do you recognize these patterns?" Xiao Ning asked expectantly.
"Don't interrupt! I'm watching!"
Bai Ziyun said angrily, she stretched out her fingers and gently touched the patterns, as if she was feeling the history and meaning they contained. Her eyes were focused and deep, as if she was trying to decipher the mystery.
Seeing this, Xiao Ning did not dare to disturb her anymore and stood quietly aside, waiting for Bai Ziyun's conclusion. Time passed by minute by minute, and the whole cave was filled with a tense atmosphere.
Finally, Bai Ziyun raised her head, a hint of doubt in her eyes. "I seem to have seen these patterns in an ancient book before, but the specific meaning needs further research." There was a hint of uncertainty in her voice.
Xiao Ning couldn't help but feel disappointed after hearing this. He shook his head helplessly. He had only found this one special thing, so he could only hope that Bai Ziyun could understand the secret.
