Along the way, Su Qi led them through the dense forest and along the winding path. The surrounding trees were lush and green, and the sunlight shone through the gaps between the leaves, forming patches of mottled light and shadows. The breeze gently blew the leaves, making a rustling sound, as if accompanying their journey.
Rong Rouxue became more and more anxious. She followed Su Qi closely, looking into the distance from time to time, as if she was looking forward to meeting Su Feiran again. Xiao Ning quietly observed the surrounding environment, secretly speculating on the significance of this meeting.
Finally, they arrived at the territory of the fox tribe. It was a quiet and mysterious place, surrounded by green mountains and clear waters, with a magnificent palace standing in the center. The palace had a unique architectural style, full of the characteristics of the fox tribe, and the exquisite carvings and gorgeous decorations were breathtaking.
Su Qi stopped and turned to Yourong Rouxue and Xiao Ning and said, "You two, we have arrived. Please wait a moment, I will go and inform them."
Her voice was clear and melodious, like the sound of nature. After she finished speaking, she walked lightly into the palace, her figure graceful, like a dancing fairy.
Xiao Ning held Honghong's hand and looked around slowly. He saw the fox tribe members around him looking at him curiously, their eyes full of doubt and curiosity. They were talking in low voices, as if they were discussing the two strange human guests.
"Humans? Why are humans here?" A fox girl said softly, with curiosity flashing in her eyes.
"Are they humans? They look like us! But they don't have ears and tails!" said another fox boy in surprise.
Xiao Ning listened to their conversation and did not pay attention to the gazes and discussions of these fox people. Instead, he took Honghong and Yourong Rouxue to a sparsely populated corner and waited quietly.
At this moment, a figure in armor slowly approached the two of them. His steps were steady and powerful, and every step was filled with firm determination. His eyes were as sharp as an eagle, staring closely at Hong Hong.
“Honghong!”
The man's cry revealed endless longing and worry.
When Honghong heard the man's shout, her body trembled slightly, and then she turned to look at the man. Her eyes were shining with joy, as if she saw a ray of light in the darkness. She ran towards the man without hesitation, like a happy little bird.
"Brother!" Honghong's voice was tearful and tears were welling up in her eyes.
The man walked forward quickly and hugged Honghong tightly. His embrace was warm and solid, as if it could protect Honghong from the wind and rain.
"Honghong, where have you been? Do you know how worried your brother is about you?" The man's voice was full of blame and concern.
Honghong hugged the man's waist tightly, tears pouring out like a flood. She choked and said, "Brother, I miss you so much..."
The man gently stroked Honghong's hair and comforted her: "Don't cry, Honghong. You are safe now. Brother will always protect you."
They hugged each other tightly, the hug was so tight that the air around them seemed to solidify and time seemed to stop at this moment.
Xiao Ning stood aside and watched the heartwarming scene quietly. The corners of his mouth rose unconsciously and he laughed out loud from the bottom of his heart.
Not long after, the man gently picked up Honghong and slowly walked to Xiao Ning's side. Xiao Ning was originally full of joy and thought that the man would express deep gratitude to him, after all, he had just helped his sister. However, what he did not expect was that he was greeted with a series of doubts and questions.
"Humans? How did you get in here? Just now, I clearly saw you holding my sister's hand! Tell me, who are you? Could you be those damn hunters?"
The man's eyes were wide open and his voice was low and stern, as if he could see through Xiao Ning.
Xiao Ning was very surprised by the man's bad attitude. He waved his hands and said anxiously:
"No, no, no, it's not what you think! We were just passing by and accidentally found that Hong Hong was in danger, so we helped her."
"You saved my sister?"
The man looked doubtful and turned to look at Honghong in his arms, hoping to get a definite answer from her.
When Honghong saw her brother's puzzled look, she became extremely anxious. She quickly explained the whole incident to her brother, describing in detail the whole process of how she was in danger and how Xiao Ning and others stepped forward and bravely rescued her.
As Hong Hong continued to talk, the tense expression on the man's face gradually relaxed, and the doubts in his eyes slowly dissipated. However, when he looked at Xiao Ning again, his tone still seemed a little stiff:
"Humph, even if you really saved my sister, this is the territory of our fox tribe, and outsiders are never welcome to set foot here. Considering that you saved my sister, leave as soon as possible!"
Facing the arrogant and arrogant attitude of the man in front of him, Xiao Ning's handsome face immediately showed a hint of displeasure. He frowned slightly, and opened his lips slightly, about to say something to express his dissatisfaction and resentment.
However, at this moment, an unexpected scene occurred. Yourong Rouxue, who had been standing silently, suddenly trembled, and a powerful and suffocating terrifying pressure emanated from her whole body.
This pressure was like a surging torrent that swept over in an instant. In the blink of an eye, it enveloped all the fox people around and pressed them hard on the cold and hard ground.
