After an unknown amount of time, Xiao Ning felt his arms go numb, as if something was leaning against his shoulders. He slowly opened his eyes and saw two figures leaning against his shoulders. They were Bai Ziyun and Leng Qingqiu.
They each held Xiao Ning's hand, interlocked their fingers with his, and rested on his shoulder. Xiao Ning's eyes fell on Bai Ziyun and Leng Qingqiu's hands. He could feel the warmth of their palms, which was a warm and reassuring feeling. He was moved. It felt good to have someone relying on him.
Xiao Ning moved his body gently, his movements were cautious, as if he was afraid to break the tranquility of the moment. He slowly turned his head and looked at the faces of Bai Ziyun and Leng Qingqiu. They both had a trace of fatigue on their faces, but they were still beautiful. He whispered in their ears:
"Master, Aunt Leng, my arm is numb..."
Xiao Ning said softly, with a hint of helplessness in his voice. Hearing this, Bai Ziyun and Leng Qingqiu opened their eyes reluctantly, with a hint of confusion in their eyes, as if they had just woken up from a beautiful dream. They both looked at Xiao Ning, their eyes full of concern.
Bai Ziyun looked at Xiao Ning tenderly and put his face close to Xiao Ning's face intimately.
"Ning'er! As expected, the first thing I see when I wake up is my Ning'er, and that makes me the happiest!"
Xiao Ning listened to Bai Ziyun's voice, and a little warmth flashed through his heart. He turned to look at Leng Qingqiu, who also nodded. Her gaze fell on Xiao Ning, her eyes full of tenderness, and then she said.
"We've rested enough, let's go to the second floor!"
Xiao Ning nodded in understanding, then stood up and stretched his arms. He glanced at Bai Ziyun and Leng Qingqiu, then turned and walked towards the stairs.
When they came to the second floor, there were still ferocious monsters. When the monsters saw the three people, they could not hold back their manic emotions and pounced on them fiercely. Xiao Ning held the Xuantian Sword and faced the monsters with a firm look. His swordsmanship was as smooth as flowing water, and each sword contained infinite power.
At this time, Bai Ziyun faced a group of hyena dogs. Hyena dogs are a group of monsters that live in groups. They are good at group attacks and have a relatively high IQ among monsters. The first few hyena dogs came forward to lead the charge. They were extremely fast and pounced on Bai Ziyun like lightning.
Bai Ziyun dodged calmly, her movements were light and graceful, as if she was dancing with a sword. The long sword in her hand flashed with cold light, and each strike accurately hit the vital point of the hyena dog.
When she was dealing with the monster in front, a very agile hyena dog suddenly appeared on her left. Bai Ziyun instantly sensed the danger, and turned her body, brushing past the hyena dog. Then she turned the wrist holding the sword, drawing a graceful arc in the air, and killed it with one sword.
After another long and intense life-and-death fight, everyone discovered that the number of monsters on the second floor was simply incomparable to that on the first floor. When the battle was at a stalemate, a clear shout suddenly came:
"Ning'er! Ziyun! Come to my side quickly!"
It turned out to be Leng Qingqiu who was calling them loudly. Hearing the call, the two of them did not hesitate to get rid of the monsters around them, and rushed towards Leng Qingqiu like lightning. In the blink of an eye, they had come to stand in front of her. Looking closely, they saw that Leng Qingqiu was drawing complicated and difficult-to-understand spells in the air with both hands, and at the same time muttering something in a low and rapid voice.
As she continued to chant the spell, not long after, a chilling, bone-chilling aura suddenly emanated from her body. Then, a jaw-dropping scene occurred—countless huge, crystal-clear ice suddenly appeared out of thin air behind her! These ices flashed with icy cold light, piled up like small hills.
When Leng Qingqiu finally finished reciting the last spell, the pile of pure ice behind her rushed forward like a flood. The fearless monsters in front of her were still charging forward without realizing the danger was approaching, and they rushed forward recklessly like a tide.
However, when the first piece of True Ice fiercely pierced into a monster's body, it was already too late. These True Ices were like extremely sharp swords, easily breaking through the monster's hard fur and muscles and deeply piercing into their bodies. What was even more terrifying was that once these True Ices entered the body, they quickly began to spread and freeze the flesh and blood wherever they passed.
In just a short moment, the group of monsters that were originally aggressive were completely trapped. Pieces of pure ice sank into their bodies one after another, and in the blink of an eye, all the monsters were frozen into lifelike yet strange ice sculptures.
From a distance, these ice sculptures have various shapes, some with bared fangs and claws, some with their heads held high and roaring, as if frozen in the moment before the end of their lives, revealing an indescribable sense of weirdness and mystery.
Seeing this scene, Leng Qingqiu's eyes flashed with a gleam of brilliance, and he shouted loudly:
"Now is the time! Take this opportunity to make a breakthrough!"
Upon hearing this, Xiao Ning and Bai Ziyun did not hesitate at all. They instantly reached out and grasped the hilts of their respective swords. They exerted force with their arms and swung them violently. Two rays of cold light slashed straight towards the monsters that had already been frozen into ice sculptures.
There was only a crisp sound, like the sharp and pleasant sound of ice breaking. Then, more ice breaking sounds came one after another, like a magnificent movement being played.
The master and his apprentice were seen moving swiftly among the ice sculptures like ghosts, swinging their swords as fast as lightning. Every swing of the sword was accompanied by a sharp sword aura, hitting the target accurately, causing the hard ice to break apart and turn into countless tiny ice crystals that flew everywhere.
