Under the sapphire-blue sky, the breeze gently blows across the calm lake surface, creating ripples that seem to have covered the lake with a sparkling coat, making it look very delicate.
This lake is located not far from Yongning City. Because of its tranquility and quietness, it has become a good place for people to escape the summer heat. On this rarely visited lakeshore, a black parasol stands tall, like a lonely watcher. Under the parasol, two figures are looming, and they seem to be concentrating on fishing.
Xiao Ning stared blankly at the motionless fishing rod in front of him. As time passed, his fishing rod still did not move at all. His irritability gradually accumulated in his heart, and he finally couldn't hold it back. He stood up suddenly and shouted to the side:
"Dad! There are no fish here, right? Why can't I catch even a single fish after all this time?"

"You can eat it however you like." Xiao Ding replied with a smile, "Let's go home and show off our harvest to your mother and Aunt Song!"
Xiao Ning carefully put the fish away and started to pack up. Although he didn't catch any fish today, he didn't care because the fish Xiao Ding caught was enough. He thought to himself:
"The fish my father catches are mine, aren't they?" Thinking of this, he no longer cared about these details.
After finishing the preparations, the father and son walked towards the city together, arm in arm. Along the way, the eyes of passers-by were attracted by the big fish in their hands. Especially the men, who cast envious eyes, which made Xiao Ning feel proud.
After returning to the Xiao Mansion, Xiao Ning excitedly held the big fish and shouted loudly: "Mother, Song Niang, I'm back!"
As he shouted, he walked towards the kitchen with brisk steps. When they arrived outside the kitchen, Song Junwan and Xiyue were preparing to cook. Seeing Xiao Ning running over excitedly with a big fish in his hand, they all showed surprise on their faces.

Soon, the kitchen was filled with a rich fish aroma that made people salivate. Xiao Ning looked at the fish in the pot intently, stirring it from time to time to ensure that the fish was evenly heated.
With Xiao Ning's meticulous cooking, this big fat fish turned into clear-boiled crucian carp and braised crucian carp. Looking at the delicious food, Xiao Ning couldn't help but boast about himself.
