After making his move, Xiao Ning stood up and left in a hurry, leaving Xiao Ding alone staring at the chessboard in a daze.
Xiao Ding looked up at his son's departing back and wanted to call him, but the words came to his lips and he swallowed them back. He shook his head helplessly and sighed:
"How can you give up playing chess halfway, kid?"
However, Xiao Ning didn't seem to take his father's words to heart. He hurried to the room in a blink of an eye. As soon as he entered the room, he saw a tall woman in a red dress standing by the bed, holding a baby in her arms, with a distressed look on her face.
When Dongfang Qinyin saw Xiao Ning coming in, she felt as if she had been pardoned. She quickly threw the child to him like a burden, muttering:
"Hurry up and change your son's diaper. Mother Chu and the other three are waiting for me to play mahjong! I'll leave the rest to you!"
Xiao Ning stared at the delicate little baby in his arms. The little guy was sleeping soundly with a faint smile on his round face, which made people feel pity for him. He couldn't help but mutter something.
"My princess! How can playing mahjong be more important than having children?"
Dongfang Qinyin seemed to be completely unaware of Xiao Ning's emotions. She rushed to the bedside like a whirlwind, stretched out her hand and pinched Xiao Ning's nose, and said coquettishly:
"Who told you to use sweet words to trick me into your home and ask me to give birth to a son for you? Now that the child is born, you should take good care of him! Oh, and here's me! After all, I was the eldest princess in the past. You should be happy that you can marry me!"
After saying that, Dongfang Qinyin let go of her hand, and gently kissed her son's pink cheek again, then suddenly turned her head and pecked Xiao Ning's lips quickly. This series of actions was as natural as flowing water, which caught Xiao Ning off guard.
Then, Dongfang Qinyin quickly dressed and left the room neatly, as if nothing had happened.
Xiao Ning looked at her leaving back, and the corners of his mouth could not help but slightly rise, revealing a barely perceptible smile. He whispered softly:
"Okay, my princess."
Although the voice was soft, it was full of pampering and tenderness.
