Above the seemingly calm sea, a silent and fierce battle seemed to have decided the outcome.
You Rong Rouxue suddenly uttered a whimper, which was particularly obvious in mid-air, as if she had been severely injured. A trace of golden blood slowly seeped out from the corner of her mouth, like a pearl that had broken off the string, dripping down her chin, and finally falling into the sea.
"What, you can't do it anymore? Haha, after so many years, your cultivation has not improved at all, and you have even regressed a lot."
The voice of Emperor Tianzhong echoed in the air, revealing a sense of teasing and mockery. His tone was relaxed, as if this battle was just a game to him.
You Rong Rouxue was not affected by the words of Emperor Tianzhong. She clenched her teeth tightly, endured the severe pain in her body, and wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth with her hands. A look of determination appeared on her face, a kind of determination that refused to retreat even though she knew she was defeated.
"Even so, don't even think you can get away with it!"
You Rong Rouxue shouted angrily, her voice full of resentment and anger. She suddenly raised the silver sword in her hand and swung it forward with all her strength. An invisible sword energy rushed out like lightning.
This sword energy turned the air into a cyclone, like a roaring dragon, pouncing towards Emperor Tianzhong with its fangs and claws bared. Wherever it passed, the space seemed to be torn apart, with obvious distortion and deformation. It seemed to be very powerful.
However, just when this seemingly powerful blow was about to hit Emperor Tianzhong, something unexpected happened. Emperor Tianzhong simply waved his hand casually, and a huge vortex appeared out of thin air in his palm.
This vortex was like a bottomless pit, emitting a powerful suction force that instantly swallowed up Rong Rouxue's sword energy without a trace, leaving not even a trace.
Emperor Tianzhong waved his arm lightly, as if it was just a trivial action. He raised his head and looked down at Yourong Rouxue like a god, revealing a condescending indifference and disdain from head to toe.
"You are so stubborn. What on earth is worth protecting for you? It makes you go against me at all costs. Is it just because of that boy? Haha, it's ridiculous."
He sneered and continued:
"If you get out of the way now and stop interfering in this matter, I can reluctantly keep his soul. In this way, after you revive him, you can still be together, right?"
However, before Emperor Tianzhong finished speaking, Rong Rouxue's eyes suddenly became more fierce and resolute. She tightly grasped the long sword in her hand and swung it forward again without hesitation, while shouting:
"Ning'er is definitely not a bargaining chip! I will not give up the land just for him! If you want the land, you have to walk over my dead body!"
Rong Rouxue's voice resounded like thunder between heaven and earth, and her determination and courage moved people. Facing such a powerful enemy, she did not flinch and showed an extremely firm will.
Emperor Tianzhong saw this and his anger grew even more intense. He had not expected Rong Rouxue to be so stubborn. He snorted coldly and easily blocked Rong Rouxue's attack with a wave of his hand. The red glow on his face became even more intense, and it was obvious that he was really angry.
"Alright! Since you are so ungrateful, don't blame me for being ruthless! The empire's cavalry will flatten everything, and the people of your land can only wait for the destruction of their country and their race!"
Emperor Tianzhong floated in the air, overlooking the land below. He held the divine halberd tightly in his hand, emitting a frightening golden light. As he waved his hand, the millions of troops behind him responded like surging waves.
The soldiers quickly picked up their weapons and mounted their horses. Their shouts resounded through the sky, as if they were going to tear the world apart. The sound of horse hooves echoed across the land, and the dust raised obscured the sky. This was an unprecedented war.
Rong Rouxue stood on the opposite side of them, her eyes fixed on Emperor Tianzhong and his army. When she saw the army rushing towards the earth like a tide, her face became solemn. She took action without hesitation, wanting to stop the outbreak of this war.
However, Emperor Tianzhong was as fast as lightning. He instantly appeared beside Yourong Rouxue, and the divine halberd in his hand struck down like thunder. Seeing this, Yourong Rouxue quickly raised the sword in her hand, trying to block the attack.
There was a loud bang, sparks flew everywhere, and Rong Rouxue's body was blown back by the powerful impact. She struggled to stabilize her body, but an unprecedented fear surged in her heart. The horror of Emperor Tianzhong made her feel the threat to her life with just one blow.
Rong Rouxue's knees bent slightly. She had never thought that she would be so embarrassed in a fight. This might be the first time in her life that she encountered an opponent who could make her kneel down, and perhaps it would be her last time.
Just when Yourong Rouxue was in despair, the imperial army had bypassed her and Emperor Tianzhong, and rushed straight towards the continent like a black torrent. Wherever they passed, the earth was shaking, as if the end of the world had come.
You Rong Rouxue was extremely anxious. She wanted to stop all this, but Emperor Tianzhong was like an insurmountable mountain, floating above her head, emitting a suffocating pressure. No matter how hard she struggled, she could not break free from the iron-like restraints of Emperor Tianzhong.
Just as all creatures on earth were about to suffer a catastrophic disaster and all lives were destroyed, suddenly, a deafening drum sound rang out, like thunder, resounding through the sky.
