Chapter 53 Regret

Xiao Ning felt Bai Ziyun tightening his grip, almost making him unable to breathe. He simply stopped resisting, gently patted Bai Ziyun's back, and comforted him, "Okay, Master, I won't leave. I'll stay with you."

When Bai Ziyun heard this, her body trembled slightly, as if she had gained great satisfaction. She murmured to herself:

"Ning'er, do you know? Before I met you, my life was all about cultivation, day after day, year after year. Even after I became the peak master, it was still like this. I wondered what the meaning of such a life was? Until I met you... everything about me changed."

Xiao Ning remained silent and listened to her words quietly.

"When you came to Shenxiao Sect to become my disciple, and I saw you for the first time, I thought to myself, how could there be such a lovely person in the world? My first thought was to keep you by my side and make you my disciple."

Xiao Ning growled and broke free from Bai Ziyun's restraints, and at this moment she seemed to wake up from her drunkenness.

"Master, you are drunk, take a good rest...

Bai Ziyun looked at Xiao Ning in front of her with blurry eyes. His voice seemed to come from the distant sky, but it was clearly transmitted to her ears. She tried hard to see his face clearly, but the effect of alcohol made her vision blurry.

Bai Ziyun stood up shakily, trying to keep his balance. He stretched out a hand, trying to grab something to support himself.

"Ning'er... I'm not drunk... I just want to tell you... I really regret it! I was wrong..."

Bai Ziyun muttered to herself, staggering as she walked towards Xiao Ning.

Xiao Ning was silent for a while, then slowly said:

“Master, you don’t regret losing me, you just feel like you’ve lost someone who was infinitely good to you.
