Chu Yunxiao stayed in the mountains with Liu Anran and the four children, helping to build houses and cultivate land. A month passed in the blink of an eye.
That day, Chu Yunxiao looked at the small thatched hut that had been built and the land that had been cultivated in front of it, and then looked at Liu Anran standing beside him. He said reluctantly, "Anran, I'm worried about the people at home. I have to leave for a while to go home and see them. Take good care of yourself and wait for me to come back."

"Dad, when are you coming back?" Yunlong asked.
"I will be back as soon as possible," Chu Yunxiao said.
“I’ve stockpiled a lot of vegetables and grains. You can put them all into your storage space and take them back with you. Keep some for your own family and share some with your uncle. Also, pack those bags of corn and rice back with you,” Liu Anran said.
"Do you want to save some of them?" Chu Yunxiao asked.
"The grain in the field will be ready for harvest in a couple of days, and there are also plenty of vegetables in the field, so I don't lack food," Liu Anran said.
Looking at the thriving vegetables in the field and the golden rice in the rice paddies, Chu Yun put the vegetables and grains into his storage space.
Liu Anran brought two more legs of mutton and some fruit for Chu Yunxiao, then accompanied Yunlong to see Chu Yunxiao out of the space.
Chu Yunxiao reached out and hugged Liu Anran and Yunlong, then turned and strode away.
As Yunlong watched Chu Yunxiao walk further and further away, he asked, "Mom, what if Dad doesn't come back?"
"What to do? Of course, we'll just leave it alone!" Liu Anran said, sitting down in front of the thatched hut, enjoying the cool breeze, and closing her eyes contentedly.
She entrusted the food and vegetables to Chu Yunxiao, hoping to do her part to help Qin Ruixu and to thank Qin Yuhan and Grandma Chu for taking care of her during her pregnancy.
If Chu Yunxiao is attached to power and doesn't want to come back, she can understand, and she won't stay here forever anyway.
After Chu Yunxiao left, Liu Anran spent her days farming, taking care of her children, and occasionally taking Hei Pi hunting in the mountains. She lived a leisurely and carefree life.
Two years passed in the blink of an eye. Chu Yunxiao came back a few times, but each time he would leave again after a few days. Liu Anran did not try to keep him. Fate comes and goes, let nature take its course. If it's meant to be, then it will be; if it's not, then it will be. She would not force anything.
Liu Anran stood in front of the thatched hut, watching the triplets and Yunlong playing happily together. A slight smile appeared on her lips. She liked this kind of life. In a few years, when the four children were a little older, she would take them out of the mountains and travel around.
She moved a deck chair out of the hut, lay down on it, and breathed in the fresh air. The evening breeze blew by, and the trees on the mountain swayed in the wind like green waves. She watched the sunset in the west, surrounded by colorful clouds, a breathtaking sight.
Blackie was dozing off at Liu Anran's feet. Liu Anran gently kicked Blackie with her foot. Blackie lazily raised her eyelids, glanced at Liu Anran, and then closed her eyes again.
“Blackie, you’ve been following me around in the mountains, which has delayed your search for a wife. Why don’t you go out and find a companion, and have a litter of little Blackies?” Liu Anran said.
Blackie's eyelids twitched. What was this "wife"? What did she want to do? Was she here to compete for his affection and food?
It's so smart, how could it do something so stupid?
Chu Feng ran up to her, "Mommy, I'm hungry, do I want an apple?"
Liu Anran pulled Chu Feng into her arms, took out an apple for her, and asked softly, "Are you thirsty? Would you like some water?"
Chu Feng hugged the apple with both hands, took a bite, chewed a few times and swallowed it. Her big, watery eyes looked at Liu Anran and said, "I don't want to drink water. I'll eat the apple and also a tomato."
Liu Anran smiled and kissed Chu Feng on the cheek, saying affectionately, "Okay, finish this apple, and then have a tomato later."
"Mom, my brother and I want to eat fruit too," Chu Zhe said, running up to Liu Anran.
Liu Anran gently wiped the dust off Chu Zhe's face, then looked at Yunlong and Chu Chen, took out a plate containing strawberries, apples, and peaches, and handed the plate to Yunlong.
Yunlong took the plate and placed it on the small wooden table at the entrance of the thatched hut.
Chu Chen and Chu Zhe immediately went over, picked up their favorite fruits, and happily began to eat them.
Chu Feng took a few bites of the apple, then suddenly wanted to eat a peach. She looked at the apple in her hand, blinked her big, dark eyes at Hei Pi, rolled off Liu Anran's lap, squatted down in front of Hei Pi, and said to him, "Hei Pi, you're such a good girl, I'll give you the apple."
Without saying a word, Chu Feng stuffed the apple into Hei Pi's mouth, then closed it again. She patted Hei Pi's head, mimicking Liu Anran's gesture, and said, "Hei Pi is really amazing, swallowing an apple in one bite. Feng'er admires you the most."
Blackie frowned as he looked at Chu Feng. He was a dog and didn't like eating fruit, nor could he swallow half an apple in one gulp; he would choke to death.
