An Qiao thought she was already in a terrible situation, but she never expected that Liu Anran was in an even worse situation.
Bai Lu's face also showed surprise, and she blurted out, "She actually dared to jump off the car, isn't she afraid of dying?"
"Before she lost consciousness, she told me that she would rather die than be forced into a relationship," Chu Yunxiao said.
An Qiao's face showed understanding, and she said with empathy, "I can understand Liu Anran's actions."
Chen Biao glanced at Bai Lu, a mocking smile playing on his lips. This woman thought everyone was as cowardly as she was.
Liu Anran slowly opened her eyes and found herself sitting in a car. She turned her head to look at the driver's seat but did not see Chu Yunxiao. She subconsciously looked ahead and saw Chu Yunxiao holding Yunlong standing not far away.
Liu Anran opened the car door and got out, calling out to Chu Yunxiao and Yunlong, "Yunxiao, Yunlong!"
Upon hearing Liu Anran's shout, Chu Yunxiao and Yunlong quickly looked in the direction of the sound and saw Liu Anran standing next to the car, looking at them.
Yunlong: "Mom!"
Chu Yunxiao: "An Ran!"
Chu Yunxiao carried Yunlong and quickly came to Liu Anran. Yunlong looked at Liu Anran with surprise and joy, "Mom, you're awake."
Liu Anran perked up, looked at Yunlong, patted his head, and whispered, "Yes, Mom is awake."
Seeing that Liu Anran was listless, Chu Yunxiao reached out his free hand and put his arm around her, letting her lean on him.
"Are you feeling unwell?" Chu Yunxiao asked worriedly.
Liu Anran hugged Chu Yunxiao's waist and leaned against him.
"My neck hurts, my hands hurt, my face hurts, I feel dizzy, and I feel nauseous."
Chu Yunxiao quickly asked, "Why does your neck hurt?"
"That big bad guy saw you kill his companion, and in a fit of rage, he slapped me on the back of the neck, knocking me unconscious," Liu Anran said weakly, pressing her face against Chu Yunxiao's chest.
Upon hearing this, Chu Yunxiao solemnly released Liu Anran, placed Yunlong in the car, and instructed, "Yunlong, your mother is not feeling well, and I need to take care of her. You sit still and behave yourself."
Yunlong nodded obediently and said sensibly, "Dad, I will sit still and won't move around. You go and take care of Mom."
Chu Yunxiao turned back to Liu Anran's side, looked at the back of her neck, and when he saw the redness and swelling there, his expression changed. A surge of anger welled up in his heart, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes.
“An Ran, you’re not feeling well and shouldn’t move around. Let me help you back to the car to rest.”
“Okay!” Liu Anran said.
Chu Yunxiao helped Liu Anran into the car, and then said to Yunlong, "Yunlong, stay with your mother, your father has something to take care of."
"Dad, go ahead! I'll take good care of Mom," Yunlong said.
Chu Yunxiao looked at Liu Anran with concern, then closed the car door with a heavy heart.
There was no hospital or doctor here, and no matter how much he felt sorry for Liu Anran, he was powerless to help.
Liu Anran looked at Yunlong and asked gently, "Yunlong, were you very scared today?"
Yunlong nodded. He was terrified to have witnessed a living person die in front of him today.
"Yunlong, don't be afraid. Your dad and mom are here to protect you," Liu Anran comforted him.

Yunlong received a satisfactory answer and nestled in Liu Anran's arms, his fear and unease dissipating considerably.
Liu Anran took out a bottle of spiritual spring water that she had specially prepared for Yunlong from her spatial storage, fed Yunlong two sips, and then drank the rest herself.
"Are you hungry? If you are, have an apple first." Liu Anran said, taking out an apple and handing it to Yunlong.

Chu Yunxiao rubbed his chin. He didn't see any zombies or living people. The villagers must have all left!
“Boss, the county town is just ahead. There’s an armed forces department there. Have all the villagers gone there for protection?” Old Liu said.
"It should be," Chu Yunxiao said.
“Since the apocalypse began, there have been zombies everywhere. The armed forces have guns, are strong and healthy, and are well-trained. The villagers are much safer there than in the village,” Old Liu said.
"The government has established a safe base, and everyone has gone there to take refuge. Once there, everyone can eat their fill and their lives are safe," Chu Yunxiao said.
“Yes! Once we’re at the safe base, we won’t have to worry about being bullied by those vicious people, or being torn apart and eaten by zombies,” Luo Yuyu said.
Chu Yunxiao looked at the corpses on the ground, worried that something else might happen, and said to Luo Yuyu, "Yuyu, everyone is hungry. Go and cook something to eat so that everyone can fill their stomachs. Lao Liu and Liu Xiong, go and dig a pit. We'll bury Gangzi and Xiao Wang's bodies and then leave this place."
Luo Yuyu said, "The food I cooked is inedible. Let Uncle Liu cook the rice, and I'll go dig the hole!"
